Global Invasion: I Can Card BUG

Chapter 53 Inside the Cave

Chapter 53 Inside the Cave
The inside of the cave was extremely dark, with only a little light from the sun outside.

But as the four of them went deeper and deeper, the light coming in from outside became less and less, until finally it became gray and dim like ”five meters away, people and animals can’t be distinguished”.

The leading captain held his shield, always on the lookout for any danger that might lie ahead.

Although he had already suppressed his footsteps and movements extremely, the thick steel armor inevitably made a relatively sharp metal collision sound following his steps.

”Yan Xiaoyu, bright flashlight.” The heavy armored knight ordered.

Yan Xiaoyu who was following behind heard this, and quickly took out a flashlight from his pocket.

The switch was turned on, and a strong white light emitted from the flashlight. The strong flashlight used by the police could even temporarily blind people in a dark environment. The white light directly illuminated any corner of the cave in front of the four of them.

There is nothing unusual in the cave, it is cold and damp, the ground is dry and muddy due to frequent walking, and there are protruding rocks above the head.

”I really don’t know how those goblins lived in such an environment. Thanks to their wisdom, they ended up living in a place similar to that of wild animals.” Yan Xiaoyu said disgustedly.

The long sword warrior on the side said habitually: ”Ning just understands the king? I don’t know what the situation inside is like. How do you know what the environment they live in is like?”

Yan Xiaoyu frowned, and was about to turn on each other, but was reminded in a low voice by the archer girl beside her: ”Stop arguing, I don’t know what’s going on inside now, if you disturb the brother inside What should Lin do?”

The two also wisely did not fight again.

The further you went into the cave, the narrower the space inside was. Originally, the space was enough for four people to walk side by side, but in the end it could only accommodate four people walking in one behind the other.

Yan Xiaoyu was at the last end of the line, holding a strong flashlight in his hand to illuminate the way forward for the three people in front.

As if he couldn’t stand the dull environment, he couldn’t help breaking the silence first, and said in a low voice: ”Why is the passage in the goblin’s lair so narrow? They live in this environment?”

The captain holding the shield in the front row said in a low voice: ”It shouldn’t be so narrow all the time. They also need a place to live. It should be more spacious when they go to the back.”

”But the passage of this cave is a bit abnormal. Do these goblins know how to dig holes? Otherwise, how could a natural cave look like this.” Yan Xiaoyu frowned.

If there are some traces of natural formation in the cave just passed, then the further the cave goes, the more obvious the traces of digging and digging.

Just like the current channel, the height is sufficient, but the width is narrow, which seems to be to limit the enemies from rushing in.

The captain gave a rare nod, agreeing with Yan Xiaoyu’s statement, ”That’s right, although I haven’t seen it before, but goblins are likely to dig holes, so we have to pay attention.”

”This narrow passage is not without benefits. If the enemy is too strong, you can escape first, and I will resist the goblin’s pursuit from behind.” The captain said, ”My shield can almost block the entire way here.”

Yan Xiaoyu tilted his head and looked at the captain who was walking in front, and found that the captain’s diamond-shaped shield occupied most of the area in the narrow cave passage.

As expected of the captain, we can always find our strengths in a bad environment.

Yan Xiaoyu had heard a little about the experience of this captain who was dressed like a iron plate, and had heard a lot of his experiences in the base.

Before the invasion of the other world, he was a fitness trainer. His whole body was full of strong tendons. When the monsters first invaded, he picked up a barbell in the gym and smashed all kinds of monsters into meat.

On the first day, he didn’t buy the novice stone knife weapon, because it was an insult to his strength, and he didn’t need the characteristics of the novice stone knife at all.

He himself is the existence that raises the average physical fitness of adult men.

And after going to the base, he quickly became one of the best Tier [-] powerhouses in the base, and his strength was improved again.

And also killed many first-order monsters, and found this hard shield in a first-order golden treasure chest, almost like a humanoid tank.

Even if there were a few first-tier goblin vanguards, Yan Xiaoyu felt that the captain could handle it completely.

The four continued to walk in the passage, as if to verify the prediction of the heavy knight captain. It didn’t take long for them to find that the passage had widened.

And the goblin finally appeared in front of them.

A goblin walked over listlessly, each holding a sharpened bamboo spear, as if standing guard and patrolling.

And the light of the strong flashlight blinded his eyes all of a sudden, forcing him to scream strangely.

Then a flying arrow accurately penetrated into his head, destroying his nerve responses and causing him to fall to the ground and die without even making a sound.

The female archer continued to take out an arrow from the quiver behind her, put it on the longbow, and was ready to shoot the next shot at any time.

”That’s right, archery has improved a lot.” The captain exclaimed in a low voice.

The female archer smiled in response.

The four continued to walk over, and the female archer retrieved the arrow into the quiver.

As an archer in the team, she must always pay attention to the number of arrows she has left. Recycling arrows to replenish ammunition is a normal but worthwhile thing to do.

They had just seen their first goblin, and there were probably more goblins waiting for them inside.

”The cry of the goblin just now probably didn’t reach inside.” The sword warrior said with a frown.

”Probably not. That strange scream was not a scream. It was not loud and would not be transmitted inside.” Yan Xiaoyu replied.

The longsword warrior continued to ask, ”What about the smell of blood?”

Yan Xiaoyu replied: ”This uncivilized creature with a lot of wisdom, do you think there will be no bloody smell in their lair? They go out to hunt every day, so it is estimated that the lair is full of bloody smell.”

The captain nodded, ”Yes, look at that goblin wearing a blood-stained necklace. For them, the smell of blood is probably used to it.”

Others looked over and found that the dead goblin had a necklace stained with blood.

However, for the sake of safety, the four of them decided to stay in place for a while, lest a group of goblins suddenly rush out and catch them by surprise.

After waiting for a long time, they found that no goblin came out, so the four of them continued to go in.

It seemed that they had almost reached the place where the goblins lived, and after walking for a while, several goblins appeared in front of the four of them again.

There’s nothing to say, they’ve each had a good deal of goblin blood on their hands so far.

The arrow of the female archer shot out again, piercing the head of a goblin cleanly.

The remaining goblins screamed and fled quickly like frightened birds.

Due to the large number of goblins, the female archer was unable to shoot several arrows at the same time.

Even though the other three rushed forward and killed a few of them, one or two caught fish escaped into the nest.

Seeing that he and others had been discovered, the captain had no intention of continuing to hide and disguise himself.

Rather, they had already prepared the idea of forcibly raiding the goblin’s lair.

”Catch up and find their lair!” The captain rushed forward holding the diamond-shaped shield.

The sword warrior and female archer also followed.

Yan Xiaoyu followed behind with a flashlight, feeling a little strange in his heart.

The goblins just now seemed to have spotted them, and immediately turned around and fled after seeing the four of them.

However, he didn’t take it seriously. The goal of their visit this time was to destroy this goblin lair, and they had already planned to attack by force.

Yan Xiaoyu has enough confidence in their team.
