I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 1996: A Warlike Guy

Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

“No problem. It’s been a long time. I’ll take you somewhere so you can relax.”

Evans looked at his watch and spoke.

“We don’t have time. I’ve booked a seven a.m. flight and I’m going back to headquarters. Let’s just stay nearby and find a place to rest.”

“Why are you in such a hurry? Did something happen?”

Walker didn’t say anything else. He led Evans toward the restaurant next to the airport.

“Fang Dezong and Fang Shihong are both dead. It was the Central Guards Brigade who did it.”

“Central Guards Brigade! That’s impossible!”

Walker’s expression was not very good. His expression was exaggerated.

“I remember that there was a very powerful person beside Fang Dezong. He looked like he was going to reach B-class soon. With such a person protecting him, how could there be any problems?”

“The man named Dai Yongxiang was also killed. The Central Guards Brigade is serious this time,” said Evans. “We underestimated their determination.”

“Are you sure this was done by the Central Guards Brigade?” Walker said seriously with a cigarette in his mouth.

“I don’t think the Central Guards Brigade would do such a thing over a woman. It’s not worth it.”

“It makes sense,” Evans said. “But there’s something you don’t know.”

“This time in Shianggang, I found out that Lin Yi from the Central Guards Brigade is not dead. He’s still alive and well.”

“Oh my God!”

Walker exclaimed, “Didn’t he inject the C-class serum? How could he still be alive?!”

Evans shrugged. “I don’t know about that. Regardless, he’s not dead, so there’s a good chance he did it.”

“But he’s only D-class. Even if he took the C-class serum, he wouldn’t be able to maintain his C-class standard after it loses its effect. How could he kill Dai Yongxiang?”

“That’s the strange thing,” Evans said.

“However, after such a thing happened, there’s no point in thinking about this anymore. What to do next will still be decided by the headquarters.”

Walker didn’t say anything else because he realized the seriousness of the matter.

This was the first time in more than ten years that they had taken action against Huaxia. They did not expect it to be so difficult.

It was not a good sign.

“Alright, don’t think about it anymore,” said Evans casually.

“How are things going in Sunrise Land? Were there any problems?”

Walker shrugged, his expression disdainful.

“It’s just a small country. What problems could there be? Don’t worry about me.”

“When are you going to do it?” Evans said. “What’s the plan?”

“We can’t go too far. Mitsui Group is not an ordinary family. With their influence on the global stage, if we don’t control them well, the consequences will be very difficult to clean up.”

“I’ve thought of all these things, so I only arranged a small car accident to injure her slightly. As for the rest, I’ll leave it to the Mitsubishi Group.”

“Mitsubishi Group? You’ve made contact? You’re really something.”

“The enemy of my enemy is my friend. The two financial groups have been fighting openly and covertly for so many years. They can’t wait for something to happen to Caie Mitsui. Of course, they’d be willing to do this.”

“This is also a good idea. In Sunrise Land, if we can borrow the power of the Mitsubishi family, it will be of great help to our operation. However, there is one thing to be careful of. After this matter is over, we must integrate all the combat strength of the Yamaguchi-gumi into our hands. This is an order from the headquarters. We must control the Yamaguchi-gumi 100%.”

“You know me, man. I’ve got this covered. It won’t be a problem.”

“If it was in the past, I wouldn’t say anything. However, a lot of things that have happened recently have exceeded my expectations, so I have to be careful.”

“I know what you mean, but I’ll do it myself this time. I’ll be fine. But I don’t think the Yamaguchi-gumi thing is the point of the mission,” Walker said.

“It’ll take at least a week for the ingredients of the serum to be metabolized completely. He’s still useful to us. Are we just going to let it go like this? What did headquarters say?”

“I’m going back to discuss this with headquarters,” Evans said.

“However, my guess is that headquarters might not give up so easily. You have to be prepared. They might send you over.”

“That’s great. I can’t wait,” Walker said excitedly.

“You’re a real belligerent guy,” Evans said.

“If we make another move, we’ll have to infiltrate Yanjing. It’s a dangerous job.”

“I know it will be very dangerous, but I’m also looking forward to seeing if the Central Guards Brigade can restrain me.”

Afterward, they ate together. Walker put Evans on the plane, then drove alone toward Toyo.

“You’re still alive after being injected with the C-class serum. I’m already looking forward to meeting you, Team Leader Lin.” The corners of Walker’s mouth curled up as he muttered to himself.

…

Mina Ito brought Lin Yi to the suburbs ten kilometers away from Toyo.

At this moment, the sky was already beginning to brighten, and the air was very good. As far as the eye could see, there were green plants everywhere. There was also a lake not far away, which was pleasing to the eye.

Mina Ito stopped the car on the road and pointed at a villa in front of her.

“Mr. Lin, that’s Yoshitomo Kyomoto’s residence.”

“Keep driving. I’ll go meet him.”

“There are strict guards here. If we drive any further, his people will notice,” Mina Ito said.

“We’re all civilized people. If something happens, we naturally need to discuss it calmly. Just drive straight in,” Lin Yi said with a smile.

Mina Ito hadn’t interacted much with Lin Yi and didn’t quite understand his thought process.

But in this matter, he was in charge, so she had to follow his instructions.

Following Lin Yi’s directions, Mina Ito drove to Yoshitomo Kyomoto’s manor.

However, less than a hundred meters in, they saw two men in black uniforms standing in the middle of the road, blocking their way.

“Who are you?!” One of them said sternly.

“Go and report that we are from the Mitsui family and have some matters to discuss with your leader.”

“The Mitsui family!”

Upon learning Mina Ito’s identity, the expressions of the two guards became formal.

“Wait here for a moment. We need to report this.”

“Okay.”

The two parked the car aside and waited patiently.

About twenty minutes later, one of the guards approached them and said, “Our leader asks you to come in.”

Mina Ito nodded without saying much, then drove Lin Yi towards the interior of the manor.

For Lin Yi, this matter was a breakthrough point.

But how much information he could extract from Yoshitomo Kyomoto would depend on his own abilities.
