Chapter 1995: Talk to Him

Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

Shogawa Ishi shuddered.

Only then did he realize that the man in front of him had a completely different temperament from before.

There was an unquestionable tone in his deep voice.

In front of this man, he did not even dare to resist.

“I-I didn’t want to get into a car accident either. You can’t treat me like this just because you’re rich.”

“If it was just an ordinary car accident, we naturally wouldn’t pursue the matter, but I don’t think it was a coincidence.”

Lin Yi stood on the platform and looked down at Shogawa Ishi. “You only have one chance. I hope you can tell me who the mastermind is.”

“I-I really don’t know anything. You’ve misunderstood.”

“In that case, there’s nothing more to say.”

Lin Yi waved his hand not far away and took a step back.

Shogawa Ishi was stunned, not knowing what Lin Yi wanted to do.

But soon, he understood.

The engine roared, and Shogawa Ishi suddenly turned his head to see a cement mixer waving its long mechanical arm. It moved above his head, and the end of the arm was placed inside the square steel frame.

Next, the sound of roaring continued, and Shogawa Ishi saw the cement from the truck being poured into the steel frame like flowing water.

“You, you guys!”

Shisheng Chuan’s eyes almost popped out of their sockets. He finally realized that Lin Yi intended to bury him alive!

“With this truck’s flow rate, it will take about forty seconds to fill this column, and as for you…” Lin Yi paused, “just enjoy this moment.”

Saying that, Lin Yi turned and left, seemingly ignoring Shogawa Ishi.

“No, don’t go!” Shisheng Chuan exclaimed from behind.

“Someone else made me do this, it has nothing to do with me. Please, stop!”

Lin Yi and Mina Ito stopped and signaled Hide Kameda to stop.

The loud rumbling stopped, and the noise reduced significantly.

Shogawa Ishi panted heavily, cold sweat soaking through his clothes, making him look like someone drenched by heavy rain.

“Speak, at this point, let’s not waste each other’s time,” Lin Yi said calmly.

“This was arranged by my cousin. He gave me fifty thousand yuan to do this.”

Shogawa Ishi’s body trembled violently. “Please don’t come after me. I really don’t know anything.”

“Who is your cousin?”

“His name is Takeuchi Fujita, he works in the gang. He found me the day before yesterday, asked for my help, and said not to disclose his matters, so I didn’t say anything.”

“You dared to take on such a job, aren’t you afraid of retaliation?” Lin Yi countered.

“I did ask him about this. He said someone would protect me. Also, we have a good relationship, so I believed he wouldn’t lie to me, and I agreed.”

Shogawa Ishi said with a mournful face.

“I had no choice. I lost a lot of money gambling recently and couldn’t pay my debts, so I did this.”

Lin Yi was silent for a few seconds, then looked at Shogawa Ishi and said,

“You just said your cousin is in a gang. I want to know which gang.”

“It’s the Jinyong Association. My cousin is a small leader there.”

“Jinyong Association!”

Mina Ito muttered, her expression somewhat unnatural.

“What’s wrong?” Lin Yi asked.

“The Jinyong Association is an organization under the Yamaguchi-gumi. If his cousin is a member, then this matter was ordered by the Yamaguchi-gumi.”

Lin Yi agreed with Mina Ito’s assessment and then asked.

“Which part of the Yamaguchi-gumi does this Jinyong Association belong to?”

Previously, Lin Yi had discussed this matter with Caie Mitsui and knew a little about the Yamaguchi-gumi.

Although the Yamaguchi-gumi was no longer as glorious as before, it still had considerable influence.

But only one-third was under her control, and the problem might lie in the remaining two-thirds.

“The current Yamaguchi-gumi is divided into three factions, led by Taro Karasawa, Yoshitomo Kyomoto, and Sato Yuu, respectively,” Mina Ito said.

“Among them, the faction led by Taro Karasawa has already submitted to the president and is on our side. The remaining Yoshitomo Kyomoto faction has allied with the Mitsubishi Group. The last faction, led by Sato Yuu, has been silent, seemingly not inclined to join anyone, and the Jin’yong Association he mentioned is under Yoshitomo Kyomoto. The truth is clear now.”

“The Mitsubishi Group…”

Lin Yi muttered. In the business world, the Mitsubishi Group’s scale was not much smaller than that of the Mitsui Group and was one of the three major families in Sunrise Land.

But the conclusion that this matter was orchestrated by the Mitsubishi GRoup surprised Lin Yi.

This didn’t align with his expectations.

“Do you know where Yoshitomo Kyomoto is?” Lin Yi asked quietly.

“I know.” Ito Mina looked at Lin Yi, “Mr. Lin, are you going to look for him?”

“Of course.”

“This is no small matter. Keimoto Yoshizaki is not someone to be trifled with. Moreover, he has many subordinates. There is no way he’d be alone. You will need many more people.”

“Do you know how the Yamaguchi-gumi was wiped out in the past?”

Mina Ito’s eyes widened as she looked at Lin Yi in shock. “Could Mr. Lin have…”

“Do you still think that I can’t deal with him?”

“No, I’m being paranoid.”

“So, you just have to send me there. You don’t have to do anything else.”

“Okay, but is this person still useful?” Mina Ito asked while looking at Shogawa Ishi.

“He’s useless to me. You can decide how to deal with him.”

Mina Ito nodded, then gestured to Hide Kameda, who was not far away. He turned on the machine and continued working.

Shouts and curses sounded in the dark night.

However, it only lasted for a dozen seconds before it was completely silenced.

The two of them then left the construction site. Mina Ito drove Lin Yi towards Yoshizaki’s residence.

…

At the same time, a flight from Shianggang slowly landed at Toyo Airport.

After getting off the plane, Evans pulled on his clothes, looked around, and walked out of the terminal alone.

Outside the terminal stood a silver Lexus GS. Walker stood beside it, cigarette dangling from his lips, looking bored.

Soon, people were coming out of the terminal one after another. Walker put away his phone and saw Evans in a hurry among the crowd.

“Hey buddy, you’re finally here. I’ve been waiting for you for a while.”

“Let’s go,” Evans said sternly. “This isn’t the place to talk.”
