I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 1974: The Chance to Make a Move

Seeing Lin Yi’s serious expression, Xiao Bing asked curiously.

“Brother Lin, is the organization behind them really that difficult to deal with? Do we stand no chance at all?”

Lin Yi nodded. “Even if we send the Yanlong Team itself, they stand no chance at all. Don’t be blindly confident in the Central Guards Brigade.”

“We can already be considered a strong country now. Even with the entire nation’s strength, an overseas organization can be so arrogant when facing us?”

“We’re an official organization. There are many restrictions. Those outside the country have nothing to worry about. This is the biggest difference between the two,” Lin Yi said faintly.

“Therefore, you have to adjust your mentality. Otherwise, you’ll suffer in the future.”

“Got it, Brother Lin.” Xiao Bing said, “Just focus on dealing with Hongmen this time.”

“When we get there, our informants in Shianggang should have gathered enough information, and we can prepare to take action,” Zhang Chaoyue said.

“However, we don’t have the advantage in numbers or personal strength, so we’ll have to resort to assassination.”

Lin Yi nodded. If they tried to confront them head-on, his team wouldn’t even know how they died.

“Siying and Sui Qiang are in Shianggang now, right?” Lin Yi asked.

“Brother Lin, do you have any plans?”

“Tell them to keep an eye on Sun Yee On and 14K. They might uncover some information about Hongmen.”

“Got it, I’ll inform them now.”

After giving the instructions, Lin Yi leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes, contemplating the next steps.

About three hours later, Zhang Chaoyue drove the car into Shianggang.

The city was brightly lit at night. As a global financial center, even Zhonghai couldn’t quite compare to it.

But Lin Yi didn’t like it here, nor was he particularly fond of Zhonghai.

He felt there was a lack of warmth; he preferred the down-to-earth atmosphere of everyday street life.

Zhang Chaoyue drove to the designated location and met up with the rest of the team.

However, Yu Siying and Sui Qiang were not with them, as they were investigating Sun Yee On and 14K.

The team stayed at a three-star hotel.

The choice was entirely for concealment.

The hotel was actually controlled by a state-owned enterprise, making it a very safe place to stay.

“Brother Lin, everyone’s here. What’s the next step?” Luo Qi asked.

“Contact Yu Siying and Sui Qiang to see if they can infiltrate Sun Yee On and 14K. The enemy knows their own best, and we should be able to get information about Fang Dezhong and Fang Shihong from them. But be careful not to expose yourselves.”

“Don’t we need to send people to Hongmen?” Zhao Yunhu asked.

“There are likely plenty of Central Guards Brigade informants around Hongmen already, so it wouldn’t help much for you to go there,” Lin Yi said.

“Besides, they should be in a highly defensive state right now. Any disturbance could reveal us. It’s not suitable for you to go there now. On the other hand, Sun Yee On and 14K won’t be as guarded, making it easier for you to infiltrate.”

“Understood, we’ll get on it right away.”

After assigning the tasks, the team members left one by one.

As the room quieted down, Lin Yi leaned back on the sofa, hands behind his head, silently contemplating.

Before he knew it, the night had passed, and Lin Yi hadn’t slept at all.

Without the advantage of superior strength, the slightest misstep could lead to the team’s complete annihilation, so extreme caution was necessary.

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

At around noon, Lin Yi’s phone rang. It was a video call from Qiu Yuluo on WeChat.

“Any news?”

“I looked into it. Fang Dezhong owns three properties, and Fang Shihong has two. I’ve sent the addresses to you; you can keep an eye on them.”

“In addition, Fang Dezhong has two mistresses. I’ve also sent their information to your phone.”

“Besides the Jiaxin Group I mentioned earlier, the largest company under the Fang family is Hengsheng Group, but it’s under his wife’s name,” Qiu Yuluo said.

“As long as we monitor Hengsheng Group, we’re bound to find Fang Dezhong. As for the exact whereabouts of Fang Shihong, I’ll need more time to investigate jt.”

“It was already tough for you to find all this information. There’s no hurry. Take your time.”

“I’ll hang up first. Call me if you need anything,” Qiu Yuluo said.

“If you need backup, call back.”

“Okay.”

After hanging up on Qiu Yuluo, Lin Yi started flipping through the messages that she had sent over.

There was a detailed list of all the information about the Fang father and son. There was even a family tree. They had prepared a thorough analysis.

Although they found all the properties under the name of the Fang father and son, according to Qiu Yuluo’s analysis, they didn’t seem to go to these places often.

The number of times he went back in a year could be counted on ten fingers.

Lin Yi held his head with one hand and looked at the information on it. He felt that the Fang father and son should have other hidden residences.

It was just that the time was too short, so they did not manage to unearth it all. He needed to give Qiu Yuluo some more time.

Now, there was no need to worry too much about Fang Dezong’s whereabouts. According to Qiu Yuluo, as the actual controller of Hengsheng Group, Fang Dezong would definitely appear in the company.

If he wanted to find him, he could just wait at the company.

The only factor that was hard to nail down was Fang Shihong. His whereabouts were unpredictable, and he really needed to put in some effort.

Among these materials, Lin Yi also found a certain amount of information.

Fang Dezong also had a younger sister called Fang Huijing. Her husband’s name was Li Dongxin, and he was also a famous entrepreneur in Shianggang.

And the company that the Li Family belonged to was the same Huanghai Group from Shianggang.

Previously, Li Dongxin’s son, Li Huaxing, wanted to enter the mainland. However, after being taught a lesson by Lin Yi, he did not continue.

What a coincidence.

Seeing this, Lin Yi smiled. He felt that Shianggang was really too small. Otherwise, who would have thought that their family would be related?

Lin Yi held the documents and watched until past three in the afternoon. Then, he sent a message to the members of Team 1 and told them to gather.

At four in the afternoon, under Lin Yi’s call, the members of Team 1 returned to the hotel one after another.

Regardless of whether they had found any useful information, they ought to gather, integrate resources, and carefully issue the second mission.

“Hmm? Why are you the only ones back? Where’s Luo Qi?”

Lin Yi asked when he saw that not all the people had returned.

“Well, something happened,” Yu Siying said.

“Tonight, there will be a boxing match at the Renaissance Hotel in Keiloon, Shianggang. Sun Yee On, 14K and Hongmen will all participate. It is said that important figures from major organizations will be present. We guess that Fang Shihong may come from Hongmen, so I arranged for Qiqi to sneak in as a waiter to investigate clues.”
