The surrounding employees were also a little confused and could only smile awkwardly.

They could not comment on what to do. After all, they could not risk offending their boss.

“Brother Lin, what are you waiting for? He’s calling you.” Gao Zongyuan smiled and said.

“Don’t make the beauty wait too long. Go up quickly.”

Qi Xianzhao and Tian Yan, who were sitting in the front row, kept giving Lin Yi looks, wanting him to go on stage.

After all, he was the highest-ranking person in the company. He was so low-key that many new employees did not know him.

It was good to use this opportunity to show his face on stage.

After all, it was an annual entertainment event. No one cared about the performance. It would be fine as long as you had fun.

Moreover, who would dare to mock their boss?

Lin Yi had no choice but to get up and go on stage.

However, his gaze was fixed on Tang Xiaoxiao. He was 70% sure that this woman was the woman who wanted to buy glutinous rice cakes previously.

Lin Yi’s appearance on stage attracted enthusiastic applause from the audience.

A group of female employees even had an intracranial orgasm.

“Boss Lin is too handsome!”

“Isn’t that so? He easily surpasses all the fresh meat celebrities who previously went on stage.”

“He’s rich and handsome. It would be perfect if he liked to sleep with female employees.”

On the stage, Lin Yi and Tang Xiaoxiao stood side by side as the former said in a low voice,

“You must be the woman who bought the glutinous rice cake just now.”

“You recognized me?”

“I can tell from your voice.” Lin Yi said lightly.

“You stole my glutinous rice cake, yet I invited you to sing with me on stage. No one else could even dream of such an honor. You don’t have to be too touched.”

“I even know who you are. Why would 1 feel honored?” Lin Yi said.

“Besides, 1 was sleeping well. Why did you call me up? Don’t you think it’s immoral to disturb my rest?”

Huh?

Tang Xiaoxiao was stunned. Others would never even get the chance to do this, but he completely disregarded it!

“Well, there’s nothing you can do. You’re already on stage. You have no choice but to sing.”

The manager standing at the back nodded in satisfaction when he saw Tang Xiaoxiao call Lin Yi to the stage.

“You say you don’t want it, but your body is honest. You still picked out President Lin to come on stage to sing a duet with you. In this way, the two of you will become familiar with each other.”

At the same time, the two people on the stage ended their conversation.

Tang Xiaoxiao said to the audience below the stage,

“Next, I will sing a song with this employee of the company. The song will be selected by the employee.”

The executives below the stage took out their phones and pointed the camera at Lin Yi, trying to flatter him.

“I don’t usually listen to music.”

Lin Yi told the truth.

He would only listen to music when he was in university, but after graduation, he basically kissed goodbye to listening to music.

“It’s okay. You can choose whatever you want. I’m fine with anything. If you really don’t know anything, we can even sing a nursery rhyme. This is just to liven up the atmosphere,” Tang Xiaoxiao said gloatingly.

“I think you’re just trying to embarrass me, right?” Lin Yi said softly.

“Don’t say so much. This is the company’s annual meeting. We’re just trying to enjoy ourselves. Even if you are out of tune, no one will say anything.” Tang Xiaoxiao said.

“Besides, isn’t it good to sacrifice yourself for other’s entertainment?”

Sh*t.

Lin Yi cursed in his heart. He didn’t expect to be tricked by this little girl today.

“Alright then, let’s sing an old song, Qinghai Tibet Plateau.”

“Qinghai Tibet Plateau!”

He Yuanyuan took out her phone excitedly when she heard that Lin Yi was going to sing this song.

“This is a rare piece of dirt. I have to record it. Haha… Senior Sister, his taste is too bad. What era is this? He still wants to sing the Qinghai Tibet Plateau.”

Ji Qingyan also covered her face with her hands. She was a tone-deaf type and did not usually listen to songs.

However, even she knew that the song “Qinghai Tibet Plateau” was really outdated.

“The company’s annual meeting is a time of celebration. It doesn’t matter what you sing as long as everyone is happy.”

Ji Qingyan, on the other hand, did not care about this. Instead, she was a little excited.

“Are you sure about this?” Tang Xiaoxiao asked.

“The pitch is a little high. If you aren’t a professional, your voice will crack.

“I hope you’ll be okay.”

“I’m sure I’ll be fine.”

After saying that, Tang Xiaoxiao hooked her finger at him. “If you’re ready, let’s begin.”

Lin Yi prepared to sing, and the backstage staff immediately found the accompanying track for Qinghai Tibet Plateau.

Although the song was a little old, the female employees of the corporation still listened with relish.

The president would sound good singing anything

The opening track ended quickly. Lin Yi held the microphone and prepared ready to sing at any time.

Tang Xiaoxiao pretended to be calm, but she was actually gloating in her heart and getting ready to see Lin Yi make a fool of himself.

Who brought the ancient call…

Who was the one who left behind a thousand years of hope…

Lin Yi had just sung two lines, yet everyone was stunned.

Although it was a very old song, why did it sound so good coming from the president’s mouth?

His technique was too good!

The laymen watched the show, while the experts witnessed art!

At the side, Tang Xiaoxiao’s eyes went wide and her head started buzzing!

To start at such a high pitch and still sing so steadily!

How was she supposed to follow that?!

At the very least, it would have to be E4, even if it was just for the climactic part of the song, that was the height it reached!

But he started with it, how was she supposed to sing now?

Moreover, didn’t he say that he was tone deaf?!

How could he sing so well?!

Ji Qingyan grabbed He Yuanyuan’s hand excitedly. “Look at our Lin Yi. He sings so well. Your Old Gao definitely can’t do something like this.”

He Yuanyuan pursed her lips, surprised by Lin Yi’s singing skills.

It was indeed very impressive!

Soon, Lin Yi finished singing his part and signaled for Tang Xiaoxiao to start.

The latter was a little flustered.

If she continued to sing according at this pitch, her voice would definitely break.

She had to lower the pitch!

Out of helplessness, Tang Xiaoxiao reduced the latter part to a range that she could control.

With this, she successfully finished her part.

Some employees who usually liked to listen to music quickly recognized the difference between the two.

Tang Xiaoxiao had lost to the president in this aspect!

If one ignored her celebrity aura, her singing skills did not seem to be any better than the president.

“Why did you lower the key? It seems like your skill level is somewhat lacking.”

Lin Yi handed the microphone to the host and left the stage.

Tang Xiaoxiao was extremely embarrassed, but she could only try her best to hide it.

In the end, she could only sing one more song in an attempt to make everyone forget what had just happened.

As Tang Xiaoxiao, the finale performer, stepped off the stage, the annual meeting also approached its end.

What remained was for the company’s leaders to give speeches, looking forward to the company’s future and offering New Year blessings.

However, Tang Xiaoxiao could only return backstage to remove her makeup disinterestedly.

“Xiaoxiao, you’ve done well. I’ve known you for so long, but I didn’t realize that despite looking cold on the outside, you’re a little firebrand inside,” the manager said as she came in..
