Taking the ring Jeffrey gave him, Lin Yi slowly walked out of the restaurant.

What would happen next had nothing to do with him.

Downstairs, Lin Yi saw Ji Qingyan and Qin Yingyue.

Upon seeing Lin Yi, Ji Qingyan jogged over. “Are you hurt?”

“Don’t worry, I’m fine. Look, I’m fine now.” Lin Yi smiled.

“Aren’t you going to the opera? Why haven’t you left yet?”

“You were still inside. How could 1 be in the mood to watch an opera?” Ji

Qingyan grumbled.

“The situation was so dangerous just now. Why didn’t you come out with us? I was almost scared to death.”

“He’s just an old hooligan with a group of hooligans supporting him. What’s there to be afraid of?”

Lin Yi patted Ji Qingyan’s head and comforted her.

“Don’t worry, it’s fine.”

“The two of you should stop being so intimate here,” Qin Yingyue said.

“It’s all settled. Let’s go to the opera. As a mother, I was not worried, so there’s no reason for you to worry either.”

“Got it, Auntie.” Ji Qingyan said faintly, then looked at Lin Yi. “Stop wandering around outside and come with us.”

“Don’t. Opera isn’t my cup of tea. You two go ahead. I’ll go somewhere else to relax.”

Seeing that Lin Yi really did not want to go, Ji Qingyan did not insist.

She simply repeatedly emphasized his safety several times before leaving with

Qin Yingyue.

After sending Ji Qingyan off, Lin Yi got into the car and drove to the Burj Khalifa.

When he arrived at the world’s number one tower, Lin Yi looked up. In the dark night sky, he couldn’t see the top.

It was like a pillar that held up the sky, giving off an indescribable pressure.

After getting out of the car, Lin Yi looked around. Other than at the gazebo in the parking lot, there were no other staff members around.

Lin Yi fiddled with the ring on his finger as he walked towards the pavilion.

“Hey, bro, I want to ask you about someone.”

The security guard looked at Lin Yi and smiled.

“What is it, sir?”

‘I’m looking for someone called Leon. Is he a colleague of yours?’

The security guard’s expression was a little strange as he sized Lin Yi up for a few seconds.

“I’m Leon. What can I do for you?”

After knowing the other party’s identity, Lin Yi smiled. He didn’t expect to find his target so easily.

Lin Yi didn’t say anything else and took out Jeffrey’s ring.

“Take me to that batch of goods. 1 don’t think I need to say anything else.”

Seeing the ring on Lin Yi’s finger, Leon’s gaze changed from distrust to fear. “Please give me a moment.”

Leon stuck his head out and saw that there was no one around. He then held the walkie-talkie and said,

“Faisal, come out and relieve me. I’m going out. I’ll buy you a cigarette when I get back.”

“Okay, I’ll be right there. I wish you all the best. I hope you’ll be back soon.” Within minutes, a young, brown-skinned man trotted out of the side door beneath the Burj Khalifa and took over for Leon.

Then, the two of them entered the Burj Khalifa together.

Even so, Lin Yi didn’t let down his guard, because he couldn’t trust this Leon guy completely.

“This is a place for shopping and tourism,” Leon said. “You need to buy a

sightseeing ticket before you can walk around here as you please.”

“Okay.”

According to Leon, Lin Yi bought the most expensive sightseeing ticket and successfully entered the interior of the Burj Khalifa.

Despite the avant-garde and regionally distinctive interior design style here, which is a must-visit for everyone, Lin Yi doesn’t have such intentions. He wants to find that batch of goods and then lure out the man in black.

Under Leon’s lead, the two of them got into the elevator.

Then he pressed the button for 162.

However, he realized that there was no reaction.

Leon pressed the button a few more times, but the elevator to the 162nd floor still did not respond.

Lin Yi frowned. The Burj Khalifa had 162 floors, and they wanted to go to the

top-floor balance room. This meant that they had to go all the way to the 162nd floor

Unexpectedly, an accident happened at this time.

“Hey, what’s going on? Why isn’t the elevator working?” Leon shouted to the people outside.

“The elevator has been shut down. We already notified you about it earlier.

Didn’t you know?”

“Damn it, why would they shut down the elevator when everything was fine?” “Because the surveillance near the balance room detected a suspicious figure,

so the elevator was shut down.”

Suspicious figure!

Lin Yi’s heart suddenly beat faster!

A bad premonition arose in his heart.

“All right, then.”

After figuring out the reason, Leon turned to look at Lin Yi.

“Unfortunately, the elevator has been stopped. We can only use other methods.”

Lin Yi narrowed his eyes and stared at Leon.

“As a security guard here, when there’s a problem with the security, there’s no way you wouldn’t know.”

“Well…” Leon looked flustered. “I was listening to music outside and didn’t notice what was said on the intercom, so 1 missed it.”

Lin Yi wanted to ask more, but he saw a man in black walking quickly towards the door outside the elevator!

“Stop right there!”

Seeing the man in black outside the elevator, Lin Yi understood everything!

He must be the man in black he had met before!

The staff member said that they had spotted a suspicious figure in the balance room just now. That person must be him!

Lin Yi had no doubt that the things in the balance room had been taken away by the man in black!

From the beginning to the end, his actions had been exposed to him!

When he learned the details, he came here in advance through the listening decices and took away the accessory inlaid with Bass ores!

In a split second, Lin Yi rushed out without hesitation!

But at this moment, he was inexplicably kicked!

It was Leon!

“You’re not Leon at all!”

“It’s too late to realize now!”

“Go to hell!”

Lin Yi didn’t waste any words, he pulled out his dagger and stabbed straight towards “Leon”!

The latter couldn’t react in time. In addition, he wasn’t Lin Yi’s match to begin with. After being stabbed, he immediately fell to the ground!

It was also at this moment that the Burj Khalifa fell into panic. Those who saw this scene screamed loudly.

The man in black who had just reached the door stopped and turned around. Their gazes met in midair!

Even though he was wearing a mask, Lin Yi could feel that he was smiling at him!

“F*ck!”

Lin Yi cursed and threw the remaining money in his pocket into the air.

The staff and tourists’ attention was all attracted by the money floating down.

Lin Yi took this opportunity to chase after the man!

At the moment he walked out the gate, he saw the black-clothed figure driving a Type-R, speeding towards the nearby road.

Without hesitation, Lin Yi got into his own car!

On the bright road, he began to chase after the man!
