“I didn’t mind giving you a ride, but your cutesy act instantly gave me a bad impression of you,” the woman in sunglasses said.

“Can’t you just drive with your eyes closed?”

The woman in sunglasses glanced at Lin Yi with a smile on her face.

“Where are you going?”

“Downtown is fine.”

!!
Lin Yi got into the passenger seat. The woman in sunglasses didn’t say anything, but she didn’t start the car either. Instead, she simply parked across the road from Cisco.

“Why aren’t you going?”

“I want to take a look around here. Are you in a hurry to go back?”

“What’s there to look at in this godforsaken place?” Lin Yi looked at the woman in sunglasses. “Are you here to invest in them? That doesn’t seem like the case.”

“Why not?” The woman asked with interest.

“Who would come to invest whilst driving an A6? It’s not pretentious enough at all.”

“Aren’t I allowed to keep a low profile?” The woman asked with a smile.

“You don’t understand,” Lin Yi said,

“If you really came here to invest, they’ll think you’re an idiot. In the end, both parties won’t be able to come to an agreement. If you really want to be successful, you should wear Hermes. That’s the way to do it.”

“Are you giving me pointers?”

“Seeing that you’re so kind to give me a ride, I won’t charge you the consultation fees.”

“Regardless, I’m the one currently driving an Audi. Isn’t it weird for you to give me pointers as the one hitching a free ride?”

“Don’t say that. The river flows east for thirty years, and the river flows west for thirty years. In truth, I’m also a rich person. I have a mansion and countless sports cars. You’re making me very sad by assuming this of me.”

“You have a mansion and countless sports cars, but you still want to get a free ride in other people’s cars?”

“That’s because I’m even more low-key than you.”

“Alright, stop talking nonsense.” The woman in sunglasses smiled. “You should save your flowery words for those girls who are only just starting to find romance.”

“You make me sound like a scumbag when you say that. Does being handsome make me a scumbag? You are going too far.”

“It’s a pity not to be a scumbag when you’re so handsome. Unfortunately for you, we have certain laws protecting women’s rights. It’s going to be a cold winter for scumbags like you.”

‘What the f*ck!’

Lin Yi cursed in his heart. I haven’t even started hitting on you yet, and you are mentioning the law.

I haven’t even launched my attack yet and you’ve already put up your walls.

“What are you doing here?” The woman in sunglasses asked.

“I’m an investor,” Lin Yi said casually.

“You don’t look like an investor.”

“Why?”

“You don’t even have a car, and you don’t know how to act like an investor. Who would want to talk to you?”

“Hehehe…”

“You’re already using what you’ve just learned.”

“Seems like it.” The woman in sunglasses combed her hair. “Are you here to apply for a job?”

“Yeah, I’m here to look around.”

Lin Yi had a feeling that this woman wasn’t simple, so he didn’t reveal his identity.

“Which factories did you go to?”

“Cisco and Sci-Tech.”

“You went to Sci-Tech?” The woman in sunglasses asked, her interest piqued.

“Sci-Tech’s done. Their assembly line was passed to Cisco, and the warehouse was also just handed over to them. Apart from the canteen and toilet, there’s nothing left of them.”

“What are Sci-Tech’s people doing? Isn’t that the same as handing over your factory to someone else?”

“Who knows? I’m just a scumbag, and I don’t care about such things.” Lin Yi said, shrugging.

“Then, what did you see? Tell me.”

“I still think that Sci-Tech’s director is better than Cisco’s, even though the company has been messed up like this.” Lin Yi said.

“Why? Based on what?”

“The secretary of the Director of the company is very beautiful. She seems to be a university student, all pure and innocent. On the other hand, Cisco’s secretary is different. She’s like a young lady flaunting her body in the bathing center. It’s obvious who’s better.” Lin Yi said.

The woman in sunglasses rubbed her temples.

She thought that since he was from the industrial area, he would understand the situation here.

She didn’t expect him to be a common youth. If she had known earlier, she wouldn’t have pick him up.

Even so, it wasn’t like she didn’t get anything. She at least learned a bit about the current situation of the company, so she reluctantly gave him a ride.

After stopping at the industrial park for a while, the woman in sunglasses stopped looking around and drove away.

“Where exactly are you heading?”

“You don’t need to go anywhere specifically for me. I’ll just find a place where I can get a taxi,” Lin Yi said. “Or I can just follow you to your destination, and then I’ll get a taxi from there.”

“Don’t worry. You’re already in my car, so it’s not a problem for me.”

“Take me to the newspaper building then.”

Lin Yi’s car was still a few dozen meters away from the building. Thankfully, there was one well-known building nearby, otherwise, she wouldn’t know how to get to it.

“I know where that is.”

Lin Yi gave Wang Ran a few more instructions along the way, mainly to keep an eye on Cao Xiangyu.

The main idea didn’t change much. If the other party did anything wrong, Lin Yi would just attack him directly.

He also told Wang Ran to be mindful of the canteen and the toilet. Those would be of great use to Lin Yi in the future.

Lin Yi received a call from Ji Qingyan after telling Wang Ran his plans.

The call wasn’t very significant. She just asked him what he was doing, if he was tired, if he had eaten, and then she hung up.

Sugar also called him at this time to invite him to play blackjack together, but Lin Yi rejected her without hesitation.

The woman in sunglasses smiled when she saw Lin Yi calling and chatting on WeChat all the way.

This man’s methods were quite good.

“What do you do?” The woman in sunglasses asked.

“I drive for Didi to earn some cold, hard money.”

“That’s not bad. At least you are self-reliant. In comparison, it’s better than working here,” the woman in sunglasses said.

“It’s too tiring to keep driving for Didi. A factory job is more comfortable, and you don’t need to use your brain. When you’re free, you can even hook up with the director’s secretary. Life here would be too good.”

“Everyone has the right to choose their own paths. What you’re doing isn’t wrong.”

“Exactly,” Lin Yi said with a smile. “Life is meant to be enjoyed.”

The woman in sunglasses nodded and smiled without saying anything.

After driving for a while, she pointed at the building in front.

“We’re here.”

“Can you drive a little further? There’s a big crowd in front.”.

The woman in sunglasses looked forward and saw a red sports car parked on the side of the road. It was very eye-catching.

The people standing nearby were also looking at the car.

“That car seems to be Lykan Super 7.”

“Yeah, it’s a Lykan.”

“Are you going to look at it too?”

“Look at it?”

Lin Yi paused. “Yeah you can say t hat.”

The woman in sunglasses drove over and stopped behind the Lykan.

“That’s normal. Even a woman like me would like a car like this, let alone a man like you.”

“If you like it, you can just get in. It’s not a big deal.”

“Are you going to break into it? Don’t forget we have laws which will punish you for doing so.”

Lin Yi took out the Lykan car keys. “The car is mine. The law won’t bat an eye at this.”
