Chapter 353 Three Terminal Formation

“The three Imperial Lords joined forces to use a carrot and stick approach. What can we do? We can only obey their orders,” said Demon Sage Fire Dragon as he shook his head.

Patriarch Yellow Oscillate smiled and said, “I hope we can defeat the humans as soon as possible.”

“These humans are stupid. The difference in strength is clearly great. A World Gap has formed between the two worlds; they are destined to lose. Why are they still struggling? Isn’t it better to surrender early? The Imperial Lords have long promised to give a small piece of land to the humans. The human race won’t be wiped out. At the very least, the Godfiends will survive,” said Demon Sage Deep Profundity. “However, these humans insist on fighting us. Not only are the Creation Supremacies stubborn, but even the weaker Godfiends are lunatics. One Patroller Godfiend after another dies in battle. I have no idea what’s the point when they are dead.”

“This is humanity,” said Demon Sage Nine Abyss softly. “After staying in the human world for a long time, you will realize that the human world is completely different from our Demon Realm.”

“Completely different?” Fire Dragon and Deep Profundity were puzzled.

“We demons were born to fight each other in the mountains. The strong preyed on the weak. It’s only natural for us to submit to the strong,” commented Demon Sage Nine Abyss “Humans are different. They value their so-called family ties and love. They are willing to sacrifice everything for their loved ones. They do righteous things even during life-and-death situations. For the so-called blind love and illusory righteousness, they are willing to die in battle one after another.”

The black-robed North Sense nodded as well. “Humans are indeed different from us demons.”

“What a foolish species.” Deep Profundity shook his head. Ever since he was born, he had been used to the law of the jungle. He was used to fighting and killing. It was indeed very difficult for him to understand the human race. Demon Sage Nine Abyss and Demon Sage North Sense had infiltrated the human world for over a century before they gradually understood the culture of the human world—a different kind of charm that was unique to the human world.

“Nine Abyss, what’s the important reason for gathering us?” asked Yellow Oscillate.

The other three demon sages looked at Demon Sage Nine Abyss.

Demon Sage Nine Abyss’s expression turned solemn as he flipped his hand and handed a dossier to Patriarch Yellow Oscillate. “Take a look.”

The hall fell silent.

“In a month, 25,000 underground demon monarchs were killed in the Great Zhou Dynasty?” Yellow Oscillate frowned. “If this continues, won’t 300,000 demon monarchs die in a year?”

“It’s still that mysterious Godfiend from Archean Mountain?” Deep Profundity and Fire Dragon had heard of him before. There were two humans extremely skilled at underground reconnaissance. One was King White Treasure from Black Sand Grotto-Heaven, while the other was an Archean Mountain Godfiends-whose identity remained unknown.

“Yes, the situation is very grim. His underground reconnaissance ability is extremely powerful. I estimate that in three to four years, he alone will be able to sweep clean the entire human world of demon monarchs,” said Demon Sage Nine Abyss solemnly. “If demon monarchs hide aboveground, it’ll be extremely easy for powerful Godfiends to locate them when they search a 50-kilometer radius with a thought. Only by hiding at different depths underground can they survive. With the earth suppressing the probing methods, they’ll be able to hide from the humans. However, with our current casualty count… it’s estimated that all underground demon monarchs will be wiped out.”

“Without the threat of a million demon monarchs, we won’t be able to threaten humans,” said Fire Dragon. “It will take us more than a century to return to the demon sage realm.”

“Therefore, we have to deal with this mysterious Godfiend.” Demon Sage Nine Abyss’s voice was cold. “It’s fine that our previous assassination on King White Treasure failed. King White Treasure kills tens of thousands of demon monarchs a year, but that doesn’t affect the overall war situation. However, this mysterious Archean Mountain Godfiend has to be killed! He has to be killed at all costs.”

“Yes.” Everyone present nodded solemnly.

“I estimate that the Great Zhou Dynasty will be swept clean in a few more months. He will likely head to the Great Yue Dynasty and the Black Sand Dynasty,” said Demon Sage Nine Abyss. “More than half of the one million demon monarchs are hiding in the Great Yue Dynasty’s underground.”

“We have to find out who he is,” said Patriarch Yellow Oscillate with a nod.

“I’ve already tried my best, but I can’t find anything,” said the black-robed North Sense. “The best method to find this Godfiend’s identity is for Demon Sage Thousand Cricket to possess someone and enter the human world.”

“We have to convince Demon Sage Thousand Cricket first. Next, he has to find a suitable body for possession. That will take at least a year or two,” said Demon Sage Nine Abyss. “If we let the mysterious Godfiend continue his rampage, in another two years… there won’t be many demon monarchs left in the human world. I estimate that after killing half of them, the remaining demon monarchs will flee back to the Demon Realm in fright.”

Deep Profundity shook his head. “It’s too difficult to figure out his identity immediately. It can only be done if the Imperial Lords use treasures to pry into the heavenly secrets and determine the identity of this mysterious Godfiend. However, the price of doing such a thing across a world is so great that the Imperial Lords wouldn’t be willing to do so, even if a few demon sages die.”

The black-robed North Sense nodded as well. “The more difficult it is to pry into the heavenly secrets, the greater the backlash.”

“Didn’t you say that the Great Zhou Dynasty’s underground will be swept clean in just a few months?” Fire Dragon’s eyes lit up.

“That’s right. In just a few months, only a few underground demon monarchs will be left in the Great Zhou Dynasty,” said Demon Sage Nine Abyss.

“Then wouldn’t it be fine if we directly set up a trap in the Great Zhou Dynasty?” Fire Dragon’s voice echoed in the hall. “Let’s see which demon monarchs are still alive. Let’s set up a trap that spans 10 to 15 kilometers in a rather densely-packed underground area. We’ll camp there and wait for the Godfiend to come. As long as the Godfiend continues their large-scale underground reconnaissance, they will definitely pass by our trap within the next few months. Once they fall into the trap, we can kill the Godfiend in one fell swoop.”

The other four demon sages’ eyes lit up.

That’s right. We should wait for that Godfiend to enter our trap!

Demon Sage Nine Abyss was somewhat excited. “If we are lucky with the 10 to 15-kilometer wide trap, we might encounter that mysterious Godfiend in a month.”

“We can’t wait there for years. It’s easy for accidents to happen if we wait too long. However, we can still give it a try in a month or two.” Patriarch Yellow Oscillate was also looking forward to it. “However, this trap will depend on the Imperial Lords. We failed to deal with King White Treasure last time. This mysterious Godfiend’s defensive treasure must be very powerful. For example, King Calm Sea has Scarlet Cloud Heaven to protect him. This mysterious Godfiend is extremely important to humans, so his defensive treasure will definitely be stronger.”

“Yes.” Demon Sage Nine Abyss nodded. “King White Treasure’s effect on the war situation isn’t great, but the Imperial Lords will definitely pay the price for this mysterious Godfiend. I’ll report it to the Imperial Lords later.”

….

In a dark chamber.

The chamber was carved with dense runes. In the middle of the chamber was a pool.

Boom!

Demon Sage Nine Abyss stood in the chamber as he used his demonic powers to activate the runes. All the runes in the chamber lit up with silver light. A scene gradually appeared in the middle of the pool.“What’s the matter?” The black-haired, single-horned Imperial Lord Starquix appeared in the water.

“Imperial Lord.” Demon Sage Nine Abyss reported the matter in detail.

“Oh?” Imperial Lord Starquix asked, “Are you sure it’s not a Creation Supremacy? For the time being, we can’t kill Creation Supremacies in the human world when they use treasures.”

“It’s impossible for that person to be a Creation Supremacy. This is an Archean Mountain Godfiend. There are three Archean Mountain Supremacies. Luo Tang and Qin Wu are guarding the city passes. Li Guan is also guarding Archean Mountain. Only his Essence Soul avatar is roaming outside. His Essence Soul avatar can only use Essence Soul mystic techniques. It’s impossible for him to be good at underground reconnaissance,” said Demon Sage Nine Abyss confidently. “There are a total of nine Creation Supremacies in the human world. Most of them are guarding various important places. Only two or three can move freely. We have eliminated all other possibilities.”

Demon Sage Nine Abyss continued, “We believe that it’s a Regis Godfiend. In addition, many of the humans’ strongest Regis Godfiends are in the World Gap. This way, we can eliminate several other possibilities. This mysterious Godfiend might not be that strong.”

In the pool, Imperial Lord Starquix nodded gently. After a moment of silence, he said, “I’ve just spoken to Lady Blackmoon and Emperor Roc. This mysterious Godfiend indeed poses a great threat. In that case, we will send the Three Terminal Formation to the human world and tell you the method to set it up. You will use the Three Terminal Formation to kill that mysterious Godfiend. Remember, after killing that Godfiend, dismantle the Three Terminal Formation and send it back.”

The Three Terminal Formation was an important treasure of the demons.

“Yes.” Demon Sage Nine Abyss’s eyes lit up. “I will definitely send it back intact.”
