Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2502: Chapter 21: Curtain Falls

Mo Hua’s mind was shaken.

Elder Zhao continued, ”Young Master Mo, you are a disciple of a Fifth-grade Major Sect and should have the intent to uphold the Righteous Dao and eliminate tyranny. Do you truly wish to help the tyrant, leaving the impoverished cultivators of Canglang City forever without a chance to rise, and immersing the cultivators of Tongxian City in dire straits?”

Mo Hua’s expression was conflicted, ”But, these Formations of yours cannot kill the Sect Leader, he is a Golden Core Cultivator...”

Elder Zhao shook his head, ”I have my plans for these matters; there’s no need for Young Master Mo to worry. As long as you don’t disclose this, it’ll be fine.”

Mo Hua frowned and pondered, then slowly nodded, ”Alright...”

Elder Zhao observed Mo Hua’s expressions, seeing signs of persuasion, he further said:

”Besides this, I have another presumptuous request that I hope Young Master Mo would agree to.”

Mo Hua was slightly startled, ”What is it?”

Elder Zhao said, ”I hope Young Master Mo can lure the Sect Leader into the Formation.”

Mo Hua was shocked and quickly shook his head, ”No way, not leaking the secret is already betraying the Sect Leader, how can I harm him? Though the Sect Leader used me, he treated me well in the end; I can’t repay kindness with enmity.”

Elder Zhao said sadly, ”Then you would just stand by and watch the loose cultivators of Canglang City be oppressed to death, and Tongxian City face impending disaster?”

”This...” Mo Hua frowned.

Elder Zhao stared at Mo Hua, sighed softly:

”This is my responsibility, it shouldn’t bother Young Master Mo. Unfortunately, I am incapable. The one named Duan is highly suspicious of me; if I invite him, he will surely be wary. Without him stepping into the trap, I am not confident in killing him...”

”But the one named Duan values Young Master Mo highly and trusts your Formation skills.”

”Throughout Canglang Sect, only Young Master Mo can lure the one named Duan into the trap.”

Mo Hua’s face showed hesitation.

Elder Zhao gritted his teeth and knelt down before Mo Hua.

Mo Hua was startled and quickly helped him up, ”Elder Zhao, what is this?”

Others were also shocked, ”Elder Zhao!”

”Brother Zhao!”

”What are you...”

Elder Zhao remained kneeling, with a solemn face he said:

”I plead with Young Master Mo, for the sake of Canglang City, for Canglang Sect, and for all the cultivators who suffer in this city, to lend me a helping hand!”

Other elders and disciples, who were originally hostile toward Mo Hua, also put away their weapons and knelt to Mo Hua.

”We beg Young Master Mo, to lend us a helping hand!”

Mo Hua sighed softly, thinking that Elder Zhao is indeed a master of dramatics.

This move of reasoning, emotional appeal, stepping down from a higher position to kneel is played too skillfully.

In Canglang Sect, indeed, there’s no lackluster individuals.

Some cultivators may not have high cultivation, but in the lower levels, they maneuver human hearts too profoundly.

Understanding the world deeply is wisdom, mastery of relationships is artistry.

I must learn hard from them.

Mo Hua immediately showed a moved expression, looked at Elder Zhao, eyes full of admiration and emotion.

He solemnly nodded, ”Alright, I will figure out a way for this matter!”

...

After returning, Mo Hua found the Sect Leader of Canglang Sect, and directly said:

”The Formation of the Refinery Shop isn’t acceptable; if this continues, not to mention building a large Refinery Shop above Second Grade, even completing it within the deadline is problematic...”

Canglang Sect’s Sect Leader frowned, ”Young Master Mo, why do you say so?”

Mo Hua said directly, ”Elder Zhao is inadequate, his Formation skills are too poor.”

Mo Hua paused, then continued, ”Of course, I admit, as the chief Elder of Formation Arts in Canglang Sect, Elder Zhao’s Formation skills indeed have commendable aspects, but in practice, it’s too superficial, full of loopholes, and too unrealistic...”

Mo Hua criticized Elder Zhao’s Formation, then said: ”Let me plan these Formations, I can certainly do better.”

Mo Hua’s expression was arrogant.

Canglang Sect’s Sect Leader felt gratified internally, but on the surface advised, ”Young Master Mo, though you have good talent and a high starting point, after all, you are still inexperienced. It would be better to follow Elder Zhao and complete the Refinery Shop’s Formation together, gain some experience...”

”Unnecessary!” Mo Hua laughed coldly, ”I have plenty of Formation experience, one or two Refinery Shops don’t matter.”

”Moreover, Sect Leader specially invited me here, it shouldn’t be to assist Elder Zhao, right?”

Canglang Sect’s Sect Leader appreciated Mo Hua’s ambition, but hesitated, ”In this matter, I fear Elder Zhao will have complaints.”

Mo Hua said, ”You are the Sect Leader, would you care about one Elder?”

”Elder Zhao is not an ordinary Elder, here’s the deal...” Canglang Sect’s Sect Leader glanced at Mo Hua, ”You come up with a planned Formation Diagram, and compare with Elder Zhao, if your planned Formation Diagram is indeed better, then everything will be as you said.”

”Afterward, all Formations of Canglang Sect will be decided by you.”

”You will be the first Elder of Formation Arts in Canglang Sect!”

Mo Hua showed excitement, ”Great!”

Canglang Sect’s Sect Leader also smiled lightly.

Mo Hua’s gaze flickered, then said, ”In that case, three days later, we will compete in the Refinery Shop, please Sect Leader attend, as a witness.”

Canglang Sect’s Sect Leader was slightly stunned, a hint of suspicion showed in his eyes.

Mo Hua looked at the Sect Leader, gaze meaningful.

Canglang Sect’s Sect Leader pondered for a while, then slowly nodded, ”Alright, then I will be the witness.”

Thus, the matter was set.

Afterward, Canglang Sect’s Sect Leader also summoned Elder Zhao, and told him about the Formation competition in front of Mo Hua.

Elder Zhao’s expression was indifferent.

Mo Hua said lightly, ”Elder Zhao, just wait and see, the Formation will not deceive.”

Elder Zhao looked deeply at Mo Hua, eyes sharp, ”Fine.”
