Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2456: Chapter 5: Firewood (Part 3)

Mo Hua glanced at Elder Yu, suddenly remembered something, and asked:

”By the way, Elder Yu, why haven’t you been scolding people lately?”

Elder Yu paused, smiled awkwardly, and said:

”I used to scold people to create an air of intimidation and oppose the Qian Family, but now... times have changed, and there’s no need to scold anymore.”

Now that Tongxian City has developed well, with a large family business, he is after all an elder Monster Hunter, and can’t be completely impolite.

Moreover...

Elder Yu sighed, ”Scolding... actually doesn’t help, it doesn’t make a difference...”

Mo Hua shook his head, ”How could scolding not be useful? I learned a bit of your scolding skills, Elder, and in the Qian State boundary, I was invincible, never losing a verbal sparring.”

”They might beat me in cultivation, but they’d never beat me in a verbal spat, that’s for sure.”

”Even so, I still held back; otherwise, just by scolding, I could probably anger someone to death...”

Elder Yu was shocked, ”Is my scolding really that powerful?”

Mo Hua nodded in agreement, ”Very powerful!”

Then he said seriously:

”Living in this world, one must have a skill, even if it’s just scolding, do it to the extreme, and never give up, don’t lose your original intention.”

Elder Yu’s pupils shook, and he felt a sudden enlightenment.

No wonder, even though Tongxian City is developing better and better, he feels more and more lost, and less and less like himself.

Elder Yu looked at Mo Hua, somewhat uncertain, and asked again: ”Did my scolding skills really help you out?”

Mo Hua nodded, ”It helped a lot!”

Elder Yu felt greatly comforted, his entire spirit lifted.

...

Afterward, everything returned to normal. Three days later, the Canglang Sect Leader was about to set off and leave.

Before leaving, he visited Mo Hua once again.

”Brother Mo, have you thought it over?”

Mo Hua said, ”I will stay in Tongxian City for the time being.”

”Brother Mo, don’t you want to achieve Core Formation?”

”The matter of achieving Core Formation, I will consider myself,” Mo Hua replied.

The Canglang Sect Leader felt some regret, but it wasn’t unexpected, and he just said:

”Brother Mo has made up his mind, I won’t insist, but my sincerity is here, and the gates of Canglang Sect are always open to Brother Mo.”

”In the future, if you change your mind and wish to join the Canglang Sect, just come to me.”

”Our Canglang Sect will do its utmost to assist Brother Mo in achieving Core Formation.”

”Of course, even if Brother Mo does not wish to join the Canglang Sect, that’s no problem, we can still be friends. In the future, if you pass by the Canglang State boundary, you are welcome to visit our Canglang Sect, so I can extend some hospitality.”

The Canglang Sect Leader spoke impeccably.

Mo Hua cupped his hands, ”Thank you.”

The Canglang Sect Leader also cupped his hands, ”Farewell.”

Afterward, the group from the Canglang Sect set off and left, following the main road of Tongxian City, exiting the south gate, and then continued onward, entering Big Black Mountain.

Upon reaching Big Black Mountain, the Canglang Sect Leader looked back, taking in the full view of Tongxian City, his eyes flashing with thought, silently saying in his heart:

”Indeed, it is a good place...”

...

After the Canglang Sect Leader left, Mo Hua returned home and fell into deep thought.

He lay in his own courtyard, just like when he was a child, gazing up at the sky, lost in thought.

In some sense, what the Canglang Sect Leader said was also correct.

Cultivation is like sailing against the current, failing to advance means retreating.

If one wishes to strive tirelessly, to elevate one’s realm, improve cultivation, and seek the Great Dao of immortality, then one can only rely on a firm Taoist Heart and keep moving forward.

Keep climbing higher and higher.

Only by reaching the highest peak, leveling with the Heavenly Dao, and possessing the mighty power of an Immortal, can one change everything in this Cultivation World.

Without strength, no matter how steadfast one’s Taoist Heart is, facing the challenges of the Cultivation World, one would still be ”powerless despite having the will.”

But continuing to climb higher and higher, then what?

Is this truly what I want to do?

Mo Hua’s mind couldn’t help but recall the insights he gained more than a decade ago when he decided to construct the First Grade Five Elements Slaughter Demon Great Formation to resist the Big Demon Feng Xi.

At that time, facing a great calamity, the situation was perilous, and he didn’t wish to ”seek only personal safety,” so he set a great ambition:

Since I am still unable to set up a Large Formation as vast as the heavens and earth, using the Heavenly Dao Laws to balance all cultivators and allow the Cultivation World to flourish, endless and unceasing.

Then, start with the simplest First Grade Formation, find a way to learn it, and establish the first First Grade Formation, to exterminate a Taoist Demon, and ensure the peace of an Immortal City...

Currently, it’s the opposite; the current test of his Taoist Heart is not the crisis of Tongxian City, but his own glorious future.

It’s whether he can resist temptation, not be entangled by worldly fame and wealth, not be disturbed by the gaze of others.

Whether he can move forward without despising his origin, without abandoning his past, without forgetting the world’s poor and suffering, and hold onto his original intention.

Qianxue Array Dao Double Champion.

First in Qianxue Sword Discussion.

First Major School Sect Disciple of Qianxue.

Junior Brother of Taixu Gate...

With a boundless future as a Formation Demon...

These titles are indeed dazzling and mesmerizing, but the most fundamental identity must not be forgotten:

I am just a little Loose Cultivator of Tongxian City.

A Junior Formation master who is determined to pursue the Great Dao...

The aura around Mo Hua returned to simplicity, his eyes clear and bright, looking at the vast sky.

Like when he was a child, Mo Hua reached out his hand to the sky, seemingly trying to grasp the entire firmament with his pale hand.

”The Formation Master observes heavenly phenomena above and senses earthly essence below, exploring Formation Patterns to understand the Dao of the universe, benefiting all beings.”

”This is the Dao of Formations.”

”As a disciple, seeking knowledge in Qian State is to learn the inheritance of Tao Cultivation worldwide, broaden one’s horizons, and lay a solid Taoist Foundation.”

”This is the Dao of cultivation.”

”Now that I have achieved Tao cultivation, I should pass on what I have learned to the world, allowing all cultivators to have a foundation for survival and cultivation, enabling them to perceive the ultimate truths of the universe, with a Taoist Heart as clear as a mirror, allowing the Great Dao to flourish endlessly, like firewood succeeding endlessly...”

”This perhaps is the true Dao of achieving immortality and soaring to the heavens...”
