Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2478: Chapter 13: Nurture Evilness (2)

The Seven Souls Blood Prison Pupil of the Water Prison Sect, the orthodox cultivation method, is to amplify the power of the Blood Pupil through Evil Qi.

Previously, Mo Hua had not cultivated Evil Qi, so he only used the moves of the Seven Souls Blood Prison Pupil to activate the Taixu Shocking God Sword.

Blood Prison Pupil is the form, Soul-Shocking Sword is the substance.

But now, the Evil Qi on Mo Hua’s body is surging and overwhelming, uncontrollable.

He can only guide this overflowing Evil Qi into his Divine Soul, practicing according to the pupil skill method first created by the elders of the Water Prison Sect.

Mo Hua, who always walked the ”crooked path,” was forced by the Evil Qi to finally take the ”righteous path” of the Water Prison Sect.

But even this is not enough.

The Evil Qi from the causal dimension of Divine Thought has been introduced into the Divine Soul.

Yet externally, there is still residual Evil Qi.

Mo Hua then took out the second secret manual:

”True Manual of Demonic Path Cultivation”.

This demon skill had been kept at the bottom of his chest for a full decade.

He had never thought of cultivating it.

But at this point, he had no choice but to use this demonic spell point to forcibly reverse the Evil Qi, dissipating the overwhelming, solidified Evil Qi on his body.

The profound meaning of ”True Manual of Demonic Path Cultivation” circulated in his heart.

Strands of Evil Qi were prompted by Mo Hua to converge in the Sea of Consciousness, then moved outward along the meridians through spiritual power, performing a small circulation.

Ultimately, it gradually integrated with the spiritual power, settling in the depths of the Qi Sea, completing the initial ”Evil Qi transformation.”

Mo Hua’s spiritual power also bore the power of Evil Qi.

Thus, Mo Hua combined the Seven Souls Blood Prison Pupil of the Water Prison Sect with the ”True Manual of Demonic Path Cultivation” from the Sect of Demon.

The Evil Qi overflowing from the Life Chart was split into two parts.

One part, merged into the Divine Soul, hidden within the pupils.

The other part, mixed with spiritual power, settled in the Sea of Consciousness.

The backlash of Evil Qi was also being slowly ”dissolved” by Mo Hua.

The black color on Mo Hua’s brow began to fade, the root of the surrounding Evil Qi was cut off, gradually disappearing, and his pale face also started to regain color.

An hour later, Mo Hua opened his eyes.

In the bottom of his eyes, a flash of blood-colored Evil Qi swept by, containing the tragic cries of countless cultivators on the brink of death, the weight of the murderous intent instilling dread in those who witnessed it.

Mo Hua pointed again with joined fingers, conjuring a fireball at his fingertip.

The core of the fireball was a scorching red, but its edge was adorned with a layer of black rim, with Evil Qi flowing within.

Mo Hua casually pointed, and the fireball exploded on the ground, causing earth and stones to crumble and vegetation to char black.

This is the normal power of a fireball.

The abnormal is, the surrounding plants and trees, unaffected by the Fireball Technique, simply wilted because of a mere brush by the fireball’s Evil Qi, falling into decay and desolation.

The good news is, Mo Hua felt stronger again.

His current pupil skill was, in fact, the orthodox Seven Souls Blood Prison Pupil.

Even without relying on the Soul-Shocking Sword or overstressing Divine Thought, the mere Evil Qi within his eyes possessed a formidable intimidation ability, instilling fear in the heart.

Moreover, his current Fireball Technique, enshrouded with a black rim and ensconced in a grim Evil Qi, had a slightly enhanced power.

The bad news is, these two methods were strengthened because of ”Evil Qi.”

Strictly speaking, Evil Qi is not a commonly used method by Righteous Cultivators.

The current state makes him somewhat akin to a ”Demon Head.”

This realization was something Mo Hua found hard to accept.

”How did I suddenly become like a Demon Head...”

Mo Hua furrowed his brow, racking his brains, recollecting assorted experiences to distinguish between good and evil.

A moment later, Mo Hua’s expression shifted as he suddenly remembered some words Elder Yu of the Water Prison Sect told him long ago.

Many legacies of the Water Prison Sect, even the sect’s ultimate Forbidden Technique, are related to ”Evil Qi.”

Thus, the Water Prison Sect had profoundly researched Evil Qi.

According to Elder Yu Canghai’s words, in this world, people are divided into good and evil, and the same applies to Evil Qi.

Evil Qi is divided into righteous evilness and demon evilness.

To kill is to carry Evil Qi. If you wish to cultivate Evil Qi, you must kill.

To kill good people can cultivate demon evilness.

To kill evil people can cultivate righteous evilness.

Cultivators of the Water Prison Sect have always entered the Taoist Court, punishing criminals with severe measures, suppressing wicked, eliminating all treacherous and demonic people, nurturing their awe-loving Evil Qi with killings, embodying righteousness, terrifying petty evildoers—this is said to be nurturing ’righteous evilness’!

When Elder Yu said these words, Mo Hua somewhat dismissed them.

Recalling them now, he nodded repeatedly, finding them reasonable.

He remembered Elder Yu also seemed to say:

”Righteous evilness is very difficult to nurture...”

”Those who nurture righteous evilness must have extreme perseverance, unwavering Taoist Heart...”

”Once nurturing righteous evilness, the murderous karma and vengeful spirits entwining you mostly belong to the wicked and vicious. These fierce thoughts constantly assault your mind, and once your nature cracks and fails to resist these thoughts, you face backlash, your character falls, and Evil Qi transforms, thoroughly changing from righteous evilness to more extreme demon evilness...”

...

Recalling this far, Mo Hua’s heart gave a ”thump.”

He never expected, all the words Elder Yu said back then would indeed apply to him today.

In the Wilderness Blood Sacrifice, he killed too many vicious demon cultivators.

In other words, he has nurtured countless ”righteous evilness.”

There are indeed vengeful spirits hidden within this righteous evilness.

These vengeful spirits are all extremely wicked, and their fierce thoughts truly assault one’s heart and mind.

Once unable to resist, one falls to backlash, character declines.

If this leads to going astray and senseless killing, ”righteous evilness” will reverse, transforming into even more extreme ”demon evilness.”

The overwhelming ”righteous evilness” can fairly maintain some balance.

Yet if the overwhelming ”righteous evilness” converts into abyss-like ”demon evilness,” one’s Life Chart will instantly degenerate.
