Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 190 Twin Beast Eggs”What’s the matter?”

Daolang was not as loud as Ayou, and was rarely so excited. Hearing its cry, Russell stopped and looked in the direction it was pointing.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t see it. When Russell saw clearly the materials attached to the rock walls, even though there were crystal-level pet eggs in front of him, he still took a breath of cold air.

There are a lot of mithril and fine gold inlaid on the rock walls surrounding the Crystal Garden!
Although the value of energy crystals is good, they are not particularly rare after all. Picking out a single crystal only costs thousands or tens of thousands of credits.

Therefore, when discussing important resources related to energy crystallization, they generally have to be at the mine level to attract the attention of alliance officials.

With the existing technical means of the Beast Control Alliance, the process of artificial energy crystallization has been realized long ago, but it is not as efficient and fast as crystal ants, a pet beast with its own innate skills.

However, the two rare metals, mithril and fine gold, are not only very rare in distribution, but there is currently no means of artificial generation.

Their market value is always calculated in grams!

Moreover, looking at the color and shape of the metals on the rock wall, it is obvious that the purity is quite high and they are not unrefined ores.

You know, the piece of mithril ore that Russell previously bought for 200 million credits only contained less than % of mithril at most.

This kind of pure mithril ore can be used as a mid-level cultivation material, but if you want to feed high-level pet beasts or make some sophisticated equipment, it basically cannot meet the quality requirements.

As for adamantine ore, which is even rarer than mithril, there is no need to go into details about its value.

Therefore, with this kind of high-purity gold and silver that is huge in size and very high in purity, a small piece of it can basically be enough to buy an apartment in downtown Longquan.

Just what Russell saw visually, its value is likely to be higher than the energy crystals piled up in the cave.

According to the previous agreement with the Beast Control Alliance, as long as he doesn’t open his mouth to the lion, it shouldn’t be a problem to take a small part of it.

In this way, Daolang’s subsequent cultivation materials will be available.

As for making money by selling these rare metals, Russell never considered it at all.

The world of beast control is different from the current world. The strongest right to speak must be strength, not pure wealth. Money... just enough is enough.

Besides, with the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent, as long as he improves his strength, he will definitely make money faster and faster, so he doesn’t have to worry at all.

”Jiang Xue, please register all these resource points so that you can give them to General Mo Lin for reference after leaving the secret realm.”

However, these resources must be reported to the Beast Control Alliance before being distributed. After giving instructions to his teammates behind him, Russell turned around and walked back to the Crystal Throne.

After getting closer, he immediately saw two pure white and transparent pet beast eggs lying quietly among the various crystals.

”...?? No, you’re giving away two crystal-level pet beasts at once?”

Unexpectedly, he could see two pet beast eggs at once. Russell was a little overwhelmed by the continuous joy.

Surprised, I quickly activated the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent and checked the information on these two pet beast eggs.

”Rainbow Ant Queen (hatching)”
Attribute: Bug

Bloodline Level: Crystal
Incubation progress: 50%
Skills expected to be mastered: Will of Ant Colony, Crystallized Egg, Energy Harmony, Crystallized Creation”

”Rainbow Secret Guard Ant (hatching)”

Attribute: Bug

Bloodline Level: Crystal
Incubation progress: 50%
Skills expected to be mastered: Will of Ant Colony, Rainbow Arms, Mystic Crystal, Energy Harmony”

After receiving the feedback from the energy thread, he calmed down slightly.

When looking at the pet beast eggs that had no self-awareness and no defense at all, Russell successfully saw the detailed information of these skills.

As pet beast embryos that have not undergone any acquired training, the information about these two high-level crystal ants is clear at a glance, and their respective characteristics can be easily identified.

It turns out that only one of the two pet eggs is the real queen, and the other pet seems to be the queen’s companion guard with a high probability.

And their talents and skills are not too complicated, and they obviously correspond to the development direction of production and combat.

Among them, the will of the ant colony is the same as the will of the bee queen. Its effect can command all the pets of the same species in a certain unit that are weaker than itself.

But the essential difference from the gold-level Queen Bee is that the Rainbow Ant Queen and the Rainbow Secret Guard Ant Shell are both crystal-level pet beasts!
Based on the relatively weak distribution of insect-type beasts in the modern beast-controlling world, as long as they raise their arms, it can basically be understood that all other ant-type beasts have to obey.

With this skill as a guarantee, as long as it is not a barren wasteland and there are several anthills around, Russell will have a great advantage in group fights and exploration.

As for the energy coordination skill, it is essentially an advanced enhancement skill like the third child of the crystal ant clan.

The effect of this skill not only includes absorbing and releasing energy, but also has a very powerful supplementary attribute:
That is to be able to temporarily eliminate the repulsion between energies of different attributes and forcibly compress them together.

Although this ability does not directly enhance the power of attributes, some contrasting combinations can often produce miraculous effects and catch opponents off guard.

The specific manifestation is probably using the energy spurt to eject a bunch of ice cubes. The opponent thought he had dodged it, but the ice cubes exploded and turned into fireballs in an instant, injuring him.

In addition to these two universal racial talents, the effects of the other two skills of Rainbow Ant Queen and Rainbow Light Secret Guard Ant are completely different.

The crystallized egg skill, as its name suggests, is a key ability for racial reproduction.

The Rainbow Ant Queen can inject vitality into energy crystals, and then mass-produce ordinary crystal ants with corresponding attributes.

In addition to the necessary main attributes of the insect type, it can theoretically produce crystallized ants with any secondary attribute. However, if it lacks resources of the same attribute, it will be difficult to maintain in the future.

The insect-soil dual-system crystal ants that Russell and others encountered before are the most conventional configuration and are suitable for survival in underground caves.

Fortunately, the life source energy of the Crystal Garden has been plundered, and the ecology has become imbalanced. The former Rainbow Ant Queen did not choose to cultivate an army of soldier ants with multiple attributes.

Otherwise, if crystal soldier ants of various attributes swarm forward, the battle experienced by everyone will definitely not be as easy as before.

Crystallization creation is a construction-type ability. Before the energy crystals are completely hardened and formed, the Rainbow Ant Queen can freely control their shaping process to build magnificent crystal buildings.

These regularly placed crystalline stone pillars and other architectural structures in the core area of the secret realm were the work of the previous Rainbow Ant Queen.

Due to the special structure of crystallized creations, the energy flow near these buildings will become extremely active, thus accelerating the growth of pet beasts and the speed of comprehension of skills of the same attribute.

From this point of view, although the Rainbow Ant Queen is of a very high level and its skill configuration is quite incredible, it actually has no direct combat ability and is basically a pure production pet.

What’s more, the queen ant needs to stay in the nest for a long time to reproduce the colony, and it seems inconvenient to follow the beast master everywhere.

Therefore, even though it was a crystal-level pet beast, Russell decisively gave up the idea of contracting the Rainbow Ant Queen.

Anyway, this secret realm will be jointly developed by Yu Chongwu and the alliance official. It will be enough to establish a good relationship by then.

Moreover, the discovery of two crystal-level pet beast eggs was obvious to everyone. If Russell swallowed them all, it might not be easy to explain to the Alliance.

”Take one and hand it over to another... It’s not a loss, hehe.” After making up his mind, he turned his attention to another beast egg that was pregnant with the queen’s guard.

Based on the information detected by the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent, Russell suddenly discovered that the Rainbow Light Secret Guard Ant was actually positioned as an auxiliary...

”Rainbow Arms: Condenses the energy of various attributes and attaches it to the target’s body in the form of equipment, providing attribute amplification and resistance effects, and continuously replenishing energy.

Skill restrictions: Non-insect energy needs to be stored in advance.

Stored attribute energy: None. ”

To put it simply, Rainbow Arms is a powerful blessing skill that includes all attributes and integrates offense and defense.

As long as the attribute of the weapon is changed in time, the blessed pet beast can theoretically achieve no attribute weakness on the premise that the rainbow weapon is not directly destroyed by strong attacks.

The attribute restraint effect in the world of beast control is as important as in real-life pet raising games.

At low levels, everyone’s energy intensity is not high, and the skills and attributes they learn are relatively few. This kind of restraint is not very obvious.

But as the pet beasts grow, they will become more and more proficient in mastering their own attributes, and they can gradually exert the true power of each attribute.

By that time, the restraint effect between attributes will be enough to become the decisive factor in a battle.

Because of this, only the two elements of light and darkness, which restrain each other, have become the noble attributes recognized by all beast masters.

Just the fact that it can be switched to provide full attribute resistance is completely worthy of being the signature skill of a crystal-level pet.

What’s more, Rainbow Arms also has considerable blessings on offense.

In terms of offense, his own attributes are very clear. Ayou, who basically uses ghost skills, has slightly lower returns.

After all, the main target of energy coordination skills is the user himself.

It is still difficult to hide some energy of other attributes in the Nether Explosion through the mental power of the two pet beasts.

Giving Ayou rainbow weapons should only provide defense and enhance the ghost element.

But Daolang’s situation is completely different.

At present, the skills it masters are either passive or enhanced skills. Strictly speaking, Daolang has not even learned an explosive offensive skill.

This kind of combat mode that continuously strengthens its own basic attributes and basically relies on strengthening the normal output can be said to be perfectly adapted to the characteristics of Rainbow Arms.

Sometimes it cuts electricity, sometimes it cuts fire, and from time to time it can also cut two knives to release ice or toxins. The opponent will undoubtedly be unable to guard against it.

The most important thing is that the energy intensity and control level of crystal-level pet beasts are definitely not much lower.

In regular competitions, it is basically a fantasy for the opponent’s pet beast to directly rely on strong attacks to destroy the blessing of the Rainbow Secret Guard Ant.

As for the last secret crystal skill, Russell’s evaluation is: the effect is very simple, but also powerful.

This skill actually has only one effect, which is to temporarily create a special crystal to block all energy fluctuations within five meters nearby.

In other words, the Rainbow Secret Guard Ants can not only provide blessings for the main battle beasts charging forward, but also protect our back row from long-range sniping with energy-based skills.

It just so happens that Xiao Qi’s slime shield is better at resisting physical attacks. The combination of the two can be called a perfect defense against both physical and demonic attacks.

However, this combination has a small flaw, that is, the beast control master standing near the secret crystal will also be affected and unable to mobilize his beast control talent.

But Russell is also a nurturing beast master anyway, so there is no need to use his beast master talent when fighting.

It can be said that as long as he contracts the Rainbow Secret Guard Ant, his progress in competing in gyms and league events can be accelerated by at least three times.

With great excitement, Russell stepped forward and covered the beast egg of the rainbow-light secret guard ant with the beast control contract.

As the milky white light continued to gather, a weak mental response began to come from the egg. Russell suddenly felt his head sinking, and his mental power was quickly reduced by more than half.

It was expected that a contracted crystal-level pet beast would consume a lot of mental energy, so he could only grit his teeth and persevere.

Fortunately, the pet beast egg’s will to resist is basically zero, and Russell still has the aura of his former Rainbow Ant Queen, which brings with him some affinity.

After a brief stalemate, the beast control contract quickly took shape and was imprinted on the pet beast egg.

After a while, the white light subsided, and the pet egg of the Rainbow Secret Guard Ant lay quietly in his beast-controlling space.

Since the energy in the egg has to be used to breed new life, the total amount of feedback brought to Russell by this contract is not much.

However, the life instinct of advanced pet beasts is very strong. When the pet beast egg relies on its instinct to create an incubation environment suitable for itself, it also indirectly optimizes its space for controlling the beast.

A place where crystal-level insect-type pets can be hatched. It would be extremely comfortable for ordinary insect-type pets to live there.

Moreover, the mental power and life energy of the contracted beasts will be more or less blended with each other, and with the influence of crystal-level aura, the growth rate of the other three pet beasts will also be increased.

At the same time, Russell also received another tip from the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent:

”When you come into contact with the crystal-level lord pet beast, you realize the special life force of the ancient insect-type pet beast, and the cocoon of evolution has undergone a new transformation...”

This change was within his expectation. After all, every previous talent advancement was related to encountering a new lord-level pet beast.

However, this talent advancement seemed a bit complicated, and no specific details were shown for a while.

But from the brief message just now, Russell still keenly captured some unusual information.

Even counting from the establishment of the Divine Court of Hope, mankind’s systematic beast-controlling civilization has only been passed down for thousands of years, and little is actually known about ancient pet beasts.

However, judging from the several combat-type beasts encountered in the secret realm, such as the rusty snail and the knife-footed centipede, it seems that the ancient insect-type pet beast group was not as weak as it is now.

Their levels are generally above the gold level, and their combat effectiveness cannot be underestimated.

Even the only silver-level Tomb Scythe Armor has difficult digging and toxin stabbing abilities.

The current skill tree of insect beasts is obviously biased towards survival, and the proportion of such main battle beasts is quite low.

Otherwise, the huge Beast Control Alliance would not have searched so hard to find the two explorers, Jiang Xue and Chen Yuan.

Based on the experience of the insect family that was dozens of times smaller in size during drastic changes in the modern environment, and eventually transformed from giant beasts into microscopic insects and ants, Russell conjectured...

For thousands of years, insect-type beasts may have chosen to reduce their strength in order to adapt to the environment, thus improving their survivability?
Thinking about it this way, as long as a suitable environment can be restored and combined with the effect of the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent, isn’t there hope that the strength of these pet beasts can be restored?
Thinking of the huge spiders that could prey on dinosaurs, the giant dragonflies that were bigger than helicopters, and the floating insects that looked like small kayaks, Russell couldn’t help but feel excited.

However, now that the explorable part of the secret realm has been basically cracked, the rest is mainly about allocating resources. He must first follow the team back to the camp.

In addition, the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent is still in the process of advancement, and everything will have to wait until the effect of the beast-controlling talent is clear. (End of chapter)
