Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 157 The Uninvited GuestIt is not impossible for the health department of the Beast Control Alliance to cultivate rot soil earthworms from black iron level to bronze level.

In fact, as early as decades ago, the sanitation department, which felt that urban garbage was increasing and the processing pressure was doubled, had made many attempts to breed scavenging beasts.

However, due to poor breeding results, the cost of forced breeding is too high, and the optimized breeding of pet beasts is very unstable, it has not been successfully promoted.

As for Russell, it is even higher than the target data set by the Union Ministry of Health.

Whether it is used in urban garbage disposal or plant cultivation in Greenleaf Gym, it can provide considerable help.

In exchange for some non-core research information, it is definitely a sure profit.

With the recommendation of professionals from the health department, Ye Qingyu no longer hesitated and decisively agreed to cooperate with Yuchongwu.

Probably because she was extremely rich, she did not take advantage of Russell. After Ou Jianjun valued each rot soil earthworm, Greenleaf Gym immediately offered a % discount on the purchase price.

In return, Ye Qingyu promised to provide Russell with some information on plant cultivation, and regularly send some plant seedlings and seeds cultivated by the gym to Yu Chongwu.

Russell naturally agreed to this condition.

He rushed to find the Green Leaf Gym to cooperate, not to earn credit points. Ye Qingyu was willing to exchange research materials, and Russell was happy even if he only charged the cost price.

”If you are willing, you can also sign a contract with the Health Bureau for a favorable price.”

After Russell signed the contract with Ye Qingyu, Ou Jianwen also extended an olive branch to him.

Strictly speaking, this batch of mulch earthworms is of greater use to the health industry than it is for use in the Green Leaf Gym.

If he can take the lead and greatly improve the operating efficiency of the garbage disposal system, Ou Jianwen feels that he is not far away from a promotion and a salary increase.

Unexpectedly, he could receive a second order on the spot. Russell agreed to Ou Jianwen’s request almost without thinking.

Anyway, it was a matter of convenience, and a breeding farm was specially built to prepare for large-scale breeding. It was a good thing to have another customer, and he had no reason to refuse.

After a while, Russell handed the incubation box to Ye Qingyu, and then put the two contracts into his document bag.

Because mulch earthworms do not live long, the health department purchased a large amount of them, and the scale of plant cultivation at the Green Leaf Gym exceeded Russell’s expectations.

The two contracts combined are expected to bring a profit of at least 20 million credit points to Yu Chongwu every month.

When I go back and hand over the contract to Lu Yinning later, I’m afraid that little girl will have to cheer for a while...

I took the time to help a friend inspect the goods, but got an unexpected surprise. Ou Jianwen was equally happy when he got the contract.

While he was happy, he sighed with some regret:
”It’s a pity that slough earthworms can only be used in the garbage disposal replenishment process. It would be great if the black cloud flies could also cross a bloodline level as a whole...”

After all, mulch earthworms can only process garbage that has passed the mature stage of decomposition, and their application range is somewhat narrow.

The scavenging habits of black cloud flies are more pure than that of slough earthworms. They can consume a large amount of spoilage materials from the larval stage. Their food intake increases greatly as adults, and they can also accelerate the cycle of decay and decomposition of garbage.

It can be said that black cloud flies can eat anything as long as it is not severely toxic industrial waste.

As for the rancid smell that occurs in places where black cloud flies live, it is unbearable for ordinary people. However, it is not a problem at all for the garbage disposal industry, which is inherently associated with odors.

However, Ou Jianwen said this casually and did not continue to ask Russell if there was any way to cultivate black cloud flies.

In the understanding of ordinary beast masters, the breeding method of pet beasts is basically based on species.

Being able to master the intensive cultivation of certain types of pet beasts is already considered to have superior cultivation ability.

Judging from the racial composition of the pet beasts, flies and earthworms are very different. They are not the same species at all. Although Ou Jianjun praised this batch of mulch earthworms, he did not think that Russell also mass-cultured black cloud flies. .

Besides, if a certain kind of pet beast could really be cultivated well, no one would hide it, and they should have started actively promoting it long ago.

Unexpectedly, after hearing his words, Russell, who had packed his things and was about to leave, suddenly turned around and said in a very relaxed and happy tone:
”Well...if you need it, I can take over this business.”

Hearing this, Ou Jianwen, who was drinking tea, almost choked.

From what Russell said, it probably means that there is currently no business related to black cloud flies, but if the health department places an order, he can do it now.

This is somewhat outrageous.

The Beast Taming Alliance has gathered many experts to research a research topic that has been unable to be conquered for a long time. The young pet shop owner in front of him actually said it was as simple as eating and drinking.

Moreover, he just gave Ye Qingyu a high-quality pet beast in a breeding box, and it didn’t look like he was just talking about it.

What’s the origin of this kid?
It seems that I saw him on the TV news in Senluo City some time ago...

Could it be that he is Dr. Natsuki’s disciple, or the low-key second generation of some family?

Jingle Bell--

jingle bell jingle bell———

Just when Ou Jianwen was overflowing with curiosity and was about to inquire for more information about the Royal Insect House, Russell’s cell phone suddenly rang.

Even Russell himself was a little surprised when he suddenly received this call.

Although his current business scope is quite broad, in general business cooperation, Lu Yinning is responsible for the details, and Russell himself can be regarded as a semi-hands-off manager.

The Beast Control Alliance prefers to send messages to communicate, and no one usually calls him.

I picked up the phone and saw that the caller ID was Liang Kun.

”Boss, come back quickly and take a look, our store seems to have been robbed!”

As soon as Russell pressed the answer button, Liang Kun’s urgent voice came from the other end of the phone.

”...?”

Russell was really surprised when he heard the news.

Fortunately, Liang Kun said that no pets or items were found missing from the Chongwu House, but abnormal images were found on the surveillance system, and Russell needed to go back and discuss it before making any plans.

”Mr. Ye, Director Ou, there is something urgent at my breeding farm. I have to go back first... This is my communication number. If the Health Bureau wants to order black cloud flies, please contact me again.”

Anyway, the contract had been signed, and Russell was worried that something might happen to the Royal Chongwu, so he apologized to the two of them, and then hurriedly left Pinxian Pavilion.

Looking at his rapidly disappearing figure, Ou Jianwen opened his mouth half-opened but hesitated, slightly embarrassed.

…………

Because he was troubled by the thief at the Imperial Insect House, Russell directly rented a small electromagnetic levitation boat on the roadside and rushed back to Fenglin Road as quickly as possible.

As soon as he walked into the door of the Royal Insect House, he saw Liang Kun and Lu Yinning sitting in front of the surveillance computer, looking worried.

”Boss, take a look for yourself.”

Seeing Russell push the door open and come in, Liang Kun stood up from the computer desk and made way for him.At the same time, the picture on the computer screen changed and returned to the starting position of the surveillance period.

”Didi... has adjusted to the abnormal picture section and will be played soon.”

In the corner of the computer desk, a small mechanical life that looked like a robot figure gave a timely prompt.

Due to the gradual popularity of mechanical pets, now slightly larger merchants will choose to equip an intelligent management pet to reduce labor costs in daily operations.

During the expansion of the Imperial Insect House, Russell not only spent money to install basic monitoring and early warning systems, but also bought back the latest ”Guanjia 05 mass production model” through Dr. Natsuki’s relationship.

This kind of fist-sized pet has no fighting power. Although its rating has reached Silver, its skill only has one ”data analysis”.

Normally, the management authority of Butler Type 05 belongs to Lu Yinning. His daily work is to help the Unicom front desk record the incoming and outgoing goods, payment records, etc.

In addition, regular simple monitoring of the temperature, humidity, and monitoring screen of the breeding ground is part of the security work of the Royal Insect House.

Today, the reason why Liang Kun and Lu Yinning felt like they were facing a formidable enemy was because they received the early warning from the housekeeper Type 05.

”What the hell is this...? Why does it look like a little Nightmare?”

After staring at the surveillance screen excerpted by Butler No. 05 for a while, Russell also saw the ”thief” in Liang Kun’s mouth.

The monitoring equipment of the Royal Insect House was relatively cheap, so the night shots were not very clear, but you could indeed see a blurry black shadow moving around the breeding ground, and from time to time, you would climb up the window and look inside.

The same scene happened one after another for three days.

At first, when Russell saw this scene, he thought Lu Yinning and Liang Kun were overreacting.

Low-level pet beasts fed in groups sometimes attract ghost-type pet beasts such as Little Inspirits to steal their life force.

Although this situation requires careful precautions to avoid unnatural belching of pet animals, it is not worth making a fuss about.

After all, ghost beasts rarely appear together in urban areas, and one or two little Nightmares cannot absorb much vitality and cannot cause much serious harm.

”Look here.”

Seeing that Russell still couldn’t figure out the situation, Liang Kun twitched and dragged the progress bar back a little, then pointed at the dark figure lying on the window.

Following his finger, Russell squinted his eyes and looked at the monitor carefully, and found that there seemed to be a few faint flashes of light flashing through the black shadow.

”Didi... traces of data transmission were detected from the screen images and on-site energy fluctuation analysis.”

After Liang Kun single-handedly excerpted the video footage of less than three seconds, Butler Type 05 explained it in due course.

”It’s worth the money!”

Hearing this, Russell felt for the first time that this little iron bumper with a super discount price of hundreds of thousands of credit points was really useful.

Being able to discover such secret information and then analyze and warn in time is indeed worthy of the identity of the latest product of Alliance Machinery Research Institute!
There are traces of data transmission, which means that the black figure is either a mechanical beast or simply a person.

There are no wild mechanical beasts at all. In essence, the ones who come to sneak around the insect house and spy on them are the beast masters behind them.

In this case, Russell had to carefully think about the purpose of this mysterious beast master.

”Is it really like what Liang Kun said, that he came to steal things?”

With doubts, Russell first assumed the most direct and common possibility, but after careful consideration, he felt that the possibility of the other party stealing things was very slim.

Although the insect-type pets cultivated by the Royal Insect House are of high quality, the insect-type industry is still an industry of small profits but quick turnover, and the price of a single low-level insect-type pet is not very high.

Even stone crickets, which have entertainment properties and focus on added value, can only be sold for to credits each.

And this infiltrator is obviously not bad at strength. Judging from his stealth ability with only a blurry shadow in the surveillance, he is at least an intermediate beast master.

Referring to the fifth-level strength of Tu Tiezhu, captain of the city protection guard, for an intermediate beast master, it is very easy to earn tens of thousands of credits without having to steal at all.

Besides, if you really want to steal... it seems much wiser to steal a jewelry store or a high-end breeding material store than steal an insect pet house.

Since the other party is not looking for money, it seems that he has only one purpose left: he is here specifically for the breeding method of the insect house.

”Is it a commercial espionage...?”

After all, this is a world of beast control, and the methods of business warfare are definitely not limited to the data collection, market manipulation, etc. in this world.

The development momentum of the Royal Insect House has been so strong recently. It is not impossible to say that some people are jealous and invite people to the breeding farm to find out the news and want to copy Russell’s breeding method.

”Should we call the police?”

Watching the video again with Russell, Lu Yinning looked a little nervous.

As a young girl who has not graduated from college, she was still a little scared when she encountered this kind of thing for the first time.

Regardless of whether the other party is a thief or a commercial espionage, it is not a serious profession after all.

His character and quality are there, God knows whether he will come to the staff dormitory to take secret photos after exploring the breeding ground...

”Don’t worry, I will contact professionals to handle it.”

Hearing this, Russell touched her head to express comfort, then turned around and called Dr. Natsuki.

As a good young man and a good citizen, he lacks the experience to deal with such rogue behavior.

Fortunately, now the Chongwu House is backed by the big tree of the Senluo City Beast Control Alliance. If you don’t have connections, you have to resist by yourself. That is the behavior of a pure fool.

Dr. Natsuki agreed to Russell’s request to strengthen the security around the insect house.

During this period of time, he has gained a lot by studying the pet beasts provided by the Insect House, and he has gained a lot of new understanding of the insect beasts.

Hearing that the Imperial Insect House was being targeted by unknown persons, Dr. Natsuki immediately contacted the security management personnel in charge of the area around Fenglin Road without saying a word.

And that person happened to be contracted with Zhuying Moth’s beast master, named Chen Nong.

He himself is a professional beast master at the early stage of the fifth level. After contracting with the Candle Shadow Moth, his night combat ability has been greatly improved. Recently, he has solved many cases of night poaching.

Although the Public Security Department of the Beast Taming Alliance is not under the management of the institute, one is a daily department and the other is a gathering of big bosses. The gap in actual status between the two is quite obvious.

Dr. Xia Mu applied, and the matter was indeed in the field of public security, so Chen Nong would naturally have no objections.

In the evening of the same day, he came to the Royal Insect House. After a brief exchange with Russell, he ordered Candle Shadow Moth to send a group of subordinates to hibernate around the breeding ground.

Seeing Chen Nong and two or three security team members working around, the three Russells felt relieved.

After all, Candle Shadow Moth is Ayou’s shadow control enlightenment mentor. Even if his combat effectiveness is average, his ability in ambush cannot be underestimated.

With it in charge, and the Shadow Moth clan’s innate ability to hide at night, the infiltrator will definitely be surrounded as long as he dares to visit again. (End of chapter)
