Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 42 Meeting an AcquaintanceChapter 42 Meeting an Acquaintance
On an ordinary afternoon, Xiang Heng, the outstanding beast master of the Bloodstone Martial Arts School, was wearing a coaching uniform and instructing a group of junior students to practice basic physical skills.

”Hold on, your horse’s steps must be steady, and your footwork must be strong enough so that you won’t be easily knocked down.”

”The dodge movements must be clean and neat. Are you doing a square dance like you are so sloppy?”

Hearing Xiang Heng’s stern words, the juniors in the martial arts school grimaced, but they gritted their teeth and persisted.

They are all new beast masters with the goal of becoming martial arts masters. In the future, they will have to earn bonuses as coaches or compete in free arenas to support their families. Unlike customers who come to buy sparring services, it is necessary to develop solid basic skills to establish themselves. Book.

Seeing that the younger students were so obedient to him, Xiang Heng couldn’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment.

Both of his pet beasts are at the gold level. They have been training hard with him since they were young, and their skills have been cultivated very well. Among all the members of the youth martial arts gym, he is the well-deserved leader.

”Excuse me, are the trial lessons held here?”

Just when Xiang Heng was correcting the horse stance of a junior, a voice of inquiry suddenly came from the door of the martial arts hall.

Sparring services and physical training courses are the Bloodstone Martial Arts Gym’s main source of income besides event prizes. As the saying goes, customers are God. When he saw a customer come to his door, he quickly put away his stinky face of scolding his juniors and greeted them with a smile.

However, the next second, Xiang Heng’s smile froze on his face.

”Hello, if you want to give a trial class... um, Russell?”

This guest was none other than the insect beast master who had defeated him in the newcomer city competition not long ago.

Xiang Heng has never forgotten his UFO Hawk Moth who released Nether Explosion in front of him and died together with the Bloodfang Greedy Wolf, both of whom lost their ability to fight. He also learned the alloy claws from unknown sources and was able to overwhelm the steel wings in close combat. Falcon’s broadsword mantis.

But why would such a fierce man come to the Bloodstone Gym? Hasn’t he mastered basic physical skills yet?
”……Who are you?”

Unfortunately, while Xiang Heng was thinking a lot, Russell looked confused at the young martial artist in front of him who directly called his name.

It’s not that he is forgetful and doesn’t pay attention to opponents of the same level. In fact, there is a field between the two beast masters during the competition, and Russell’s attention is mainly focused on the pet beasts in the field. Didn’t remember the other person’s appearance.

But in Xiang Heng’s eyes, such a problem turned into a master’s indifference to his defeated opponent.

Even if you are stronger than me, this is still very frustrating, and I still underestimated the enemy in that defeat...

Since the other party was now a customer, Xiang Heng could only laugh a few times and complained silently in his heart.

”I wonder if you still remember it?”

After thinking about it, he couldn’t accept being completely forgotten by Russell and summoned the Blood-fang Greedy Wolf.

White light flashed, and a ferocious wolf with dark red fur and long fangs appeared in the martial arts hall.

Seeing the majestic Xueya Greedy Wolf, the ordinary students in the martial arts hall cast envious glances.

A gold-level pet beast will definitely reach the fifth level after normal cultivation and maturity. In addition, Xiang Heng himself also has the ”durable shared” beast control talent that can enhance physical strength. There is a high probability that he will become an intermediate-to-high-level martial artist in the future. One private lesson will suffice. Worth thousands of credits.

Smelling the smell of blood, Russell finally recognized that this martial artist seemed to be the powerful opponent he met in the group stage of the rookie competition.

Compared with the last time we met on the field, Xiang Heng’s blood-fang greedy wolf seemed to have grown up a bit, and the blood lingering on the tusks was more solid. It seemed that he had achieved good results in cultivating the pet beast recently.

”Oh...it’s you. I’m short-sighted. I’m sorry.”

Recognizing Xiang Heng, Russell also realized that he had just embarrassed others, so he quickly made a haha to ease the embarrassment.

”I want to book some beginner sparring courses. I wonder if I can try them out now?”

Seeing that the embarrassment on Xiang Heng’s face faded, he asked again about the main purpose of coming to the Bloodstone Martial Arts Hall.

”Okay, I don’t know if Mr. Russell has any foundation in physical arts. If he has no foundation at all, it is best to take a period of physical improvement courses before taking the sparring class. Otherwise, I am afraid that your physical strength will not be able to last for a whole class, and it will also It’s easy to get injured.” Taking over Russell’s topic, Xiang Heng skillfully spoke a series of classic techniques for attracting customers in martial arts gyms.

Under the protection of the Beast Control Alliance, human cities have gone through hundreds of years of peace. Except for professional beast masters, most people will never go to undeveloped areas in the wild. The martial culture of everyone exercising their physical fitness has long been Become history.

Those large martial arts gyms with many high-level martial arts masters and professional beast masters as customers are okay, but small martial arts gyms like the Bloodstone Gymnasium are not easy to do business, and the business is good and bad.

Make money, don’t be shabby...

”I don’t want to set a course for myself, I want to teach it to my pet.”

Realizing that Xiang Heng seemed to have misunderstood what he meant, Russell also summoned the Great Sword Mantis.

Sa-!
The white light dissipated, and Dao Dao Mantis appeared arrogantly, waving his blade arm, and started provoking each other with the Bloody Greedy Wolf, who also had a bad temper.

The mantis has already reached maturity. After this period of cultivation, its body shape has not changed much. However, due to the increase in the steel energy in the body, the limbs of the mantis, especially the pair of blade arms, have obviously become a little bit different. metallic feel.

Xiang Heng also clearly saw this. Russell did have something to be able to cultivate an insect beast to this extent.

However, what he is more concerned about now is naturally selling courses.

”The price for the junior pet training course is 200 credits per session. There are discounts for bulk subscriptions. Trial classes can be held now.”

As he spoke, Xiang Heng also took out a brochure with different packages from the pocket of his coaching uniform.

”Okay, if it works, I’ll book thirty lessons first.”

After taking the brochure and flipping through it, Russell felt that the price was quite favorable. After all, the pet animals used for training would also be consumed and needed to be supplemented with nutrients, so the cost was not very low.

”No problem, this way please.”

Unexpectedly, Russell was still a big customer, so Xiang Heng quickly took him and Daodao Mantis to the training ground in the backyard of the martial arts gym.

Usually, the people who come to the martial arts hall to buy lessons are mostly the beast control masters themselves. It is rare to see senior brother Xiang Heng and his guests sparring with their pet animals. A group of people who eat melons quickly gathered next to the training ground.

”The young beastmaster with the big sword Mantis, he can’t be the one who defeated Senior Brother Xiang Heng last time.”

”I guess, haven’t you seen the solemn look on Senior Brother Xiang Heng’s face? He usually checks his mobile phone when he abuses us! But I don’t really believe that a big sword mantis can defeat Senior Brother’s Steel Winged Falcon...”

”Didn’t the two of them meet again now? Just look. The Blood-fang Greedy Wolf is stronger than the Steel-Wing Falcon. If his subordinates see the real chapter, they will soon find out whether there is a shady secret.”

Everyone in the martial arts hall was surprised for a long time when they learned that Xiang Heng had lost in the rookie group. Now that the real master appeared, everyone naturally started gossiping.

”Don’t talk about the guests!”

Xiang Heng was confused by all these chatter and quickly shouted to stop them.

”Blood-fang Greedy Wolf, don’t use skills and fight in close combat with Dao Dao Mantis. Mr. Russell, you can’t use skills here either.”

Then, he waved to Xueya Greedy Wolf and asked him to jump into the training ground to prepare for the battle.

The attack power of the skills is too high and the energy consumption is high, which is not conducive to daily practice of basic fighting skills, so the skills are basically disabled by default in this type of sparring.

”Dadao Mantis, you go too. You are not allowed to use skills.”

Having understood this rule in advance, Russell nodded and let the Dao Dao Mantis rush towards the Bloody Greedy Wolf.
