Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 33 Surprise victoryChapter 33 Surprise victory
Sa-!
Although the thunder cloud elements were chasing closely, the attack of the broadsword mantis was still one step ahead.

In a flash of lightning, it had already rushed in front of the Wet Moss Turtle, raised its metalized blade arm and was about to launch a fierce attack.

However, in the face of the inevitable situation, Li Moxin still remained calm and smiling, which made Russell secretly feel something was wrong.

Sure enough, the current situation seemed to be within Li Moxin’s expectation. She calmly gave the order to the wet moss turtle just before the alloy claw struck down.

”Wet Moss Turtle, huddle into its shell and defend with a water shield.”

Upon receiving the order, the wet moss turtle immediately retracted its head and limbs into its hard shell.

At the same time, the water vapor and raindrops around it quickly condensed, turning into a rotating and flowing translucent water curtain on the surface of the body.

This is a classic defensive skill of the water system. The flowing water has a good force-removing effect and can greatly improve the user’s physical defense.

For low-level water beasts, the water flow shield is not easy to master. At the same time, the defensive ability of the water flow shield is directly proportional to the user’s ability to control the water flow, so there is no point in trying to learn it.

The initial mental power of the wet moss turtle race can only be said to be mediocre, but this water shield rotates very fast. It seems that Li Moxin has given it a lot of special training in energy control.

shhh-

The mantis slashed down with his sword, and water splashed one or two meters high. It looked like a pretty good visual effect, but in reality it didn’t seem to hit anything.

This feeling is like punching cotton with all your strength. Not only is it very unpleasant, but it also makes you lose balance because the force is not in place.

However, the thunder cloud element would not give the broadsword mantis a chance to breathe. Before it could adjust its body shape, the pursuit of the lightning whip followed closely with the sound of piercing electric current.

At this time, when the big-sword mantis missed a single blow and its old strength was exhausted and its new strength was yet to be regenerated, the lightning whip hit its body steadily. In a sudden flash of lightning, the big-sword mantis was whipped and fell out.

First, create the illusion that the wet moss turtle is afraid of being attacked. After luring the enemy deep, let it use its powerful defensive skills to resist the surprise attack, playing a game of ”mantis hunting turtles, lightning behind them”. This is Li Moxin’s true love. Tactics!
sa...

Under the bonus of the humid environment, the damage of the lightning whip was doubled. After withstanding the blow, Daodao Mantis could barely stand up with support, but the double inferiority of paralysis and injury made it difficult for it to compete with the thunder cloud element. Confronted.

”Ayou, cover Da Dao Mantis and continue the attack!”

After suffering a big loss in the previous round of confrontation, Russell did not choose to let Daodao Mantis retreat.

There are almost no pure melee races among elemental creatures. The thunder cloud element’s lightning whip itself is a mid-range skill. According to Russell’s estimation, it probably also masters low-level long-range skills such as discharge.

Even if you open a certain distance, you may not be able to completely leave the attack range of the thunder cloud element.

Moreover, Daodao Mantis does not have any healing skills. Even if it temporarily retreats to a safe distance, its injuries will not recover for a while.

With reduced mobility, it will only be more difficult to launch a new round of raids.

Considering that the three pet beasts were very close to each other, Russell did not let Ayou charge up the Nether Explosion, but instead used Shadow Arrow continuously to drive back the thundercloud elements.

The damage of the shadow arrow is not high, but the pet beast of the same level cannot ignore the continuous attacks of the arrow rain. Li Moxin had to let the thunder cloud element turn around to deal with Ayou’s long-range interference.

Anyway, it was obvious that the Big Sword Mantis couldn’t break through the Wet Moss Turtle’s defense. She now had a clear advantage, so there was no need to be impatient. However, Russell needed to find a way to break the situation as soon as possible.

As Li Moxin expected, Russell, who had barely stabilized the situation, now had a headache. After watching several more rounds of confrontation on the field, he still couldn’t find a breakthrough.

Under the rainy weather, the attack between Ayou and Thunder Cloud Elemental could only be considered a - split at best.

The thunder cloud element is not yet able to break through the butterfly shadow’s clone and attack Ayou’s body. However, it spreads the current into the diffuse water vapor, greatly improving its perception of energy. Ayou’s tentative Nether Blasts were also blocked by it. Hide away.

The situation on the Big Knife Mantis’ side is even less optimistic. Although the Wet Moss Turtle only defended and did not fight back throughout the whole process, the continuous attack consumes a lot of physical strength of the Big Knife Mantis. Coupled with the injuries, it obviously showed signs of weakness.

Just when Russell was at a loss what to do, Daodao Mantis suddenly sent him a message from the spiritual link:
Sa-!
I want to fight freely!

Russell was slightly startled when he heard this somewhat strange request.

Generally speaking, human intelligence is much higher than that of most low- and middle-level pet beasts. Based on the systematic education and knowledge inheritance of human society, even high-level pet beasts whose intelligence is on par with humans are very capable in thinking and logic. It is difficult to truly surpass humans.

Therefore, people usually acquiesce that pet beasts fighting under the command of professional beast masters can exert stronger strength than fighting by their own instincts.Even if it is a so-called free battle, it is a situation where both beast masters do not give command and only one party gives up command. It is either crushed by strength or failed.

However, Russell, who is currently a beast master, is facing a dilemma caused by a command failure. Based on the idea of becoming a living horse doctor, he agreed to Daodao Mantis’s request to fight freely.

The moment he received the order to fight freely, Daodao Mantis immediately made a move that confused everyone in the arena.

I saw it released its alloy claws, and then continued to chop at the wet moss turtle quickly with only brute force.

”...What are you doing?”

Seeing Da Dao Mantis lowering its attack power while increasing its attack frequency, Russell felt a few question marks rising above his head.

Could this be its experience when hunting in the wild?

But I can’t see any merit...

He continued to watch for a while, and just when he was about to take back the command because he couldn’t see clearly, the wet moss turtle’s state suddenly changed slightly.

Although the broadsword mantis’s slash after contacting the alloy claws still failed to cause substantial damage to it, due to the change in the attack angle, the wet moss turtle’s body slowly rotated, and the speed continued to increase.

”Are you cutting along the direction of the water flow, trying to stun it?”

At this time, Russell suddenly realized it and asked Daodao Mantis in surprise.

Sa-!
Correct!
To the master’s belated reaction, Daodao Mantis simply responded, and then continued to immerse himself in chopping.

After a while, under the action of inertia, the oval-shaped wet moss turtle with its body retracted into its shell turned into a ”blue top” on the floor.

Although this kind of rotation is not harmful, it will inevitably make you dizzy if you rotate it for a long time. In just half a minute, the wet moss turtle felt that his brain was almost being rotated evenly, and the rain skill and water shield began to become uncomfortable. Stabilize.

As a result, the pressure came to Li Moxin.

Without releasing the water flow shield skill and extending the body from the turtle shell, the wet moss turtle cannot move and escape. However, the attack of the broadsword mantis is fast and dense. The moment the water flow shield is released, the wet moss turtle will be hit repeatedly. .

Seeing that the wet moss turtle was about to be knocked unconscious, Li Moxin made a prompt decision, commanded the thunder cloud element to block several shadow arrows, and swung the lightning whip at the broadsword mantis again.

She was confident that this lightning whip would definitely make the already seriously injured Dao Dao Mantis lose his ability to turn around.

But how could Russell sit still and wait for death, giving Li Moxin a chance to regain her advantage?

The Thunder Cloud Elemental had to fight back even though it was hurt, so he immediately asked Ayou to follow him, and at the same time gave Daodao Mantis an order.

”Ayou, fly towards the wet moss turtle and prepare for Netherworld Explosion!”

”Dadao Mantis, attack with all your strength for the final round!”

Knowing that he had reached his limit, Daodao Mantis followed Russell’s command, gathered the last energy in his body, released the alloy claw again, and struck the wet moss turtle three times.

Then, exhausted, it was taken back into the beast-controlling space by Russell.

In doubles battles and non-rotating singles, once a pet is recovered, it will be considered defeated. From this perspective, this wave of reinforcements from Thundercloud Elements has achieved its best purpose.

However, Daodao Mantis’s exhaustion was completely part of Russell’s plan. He used Daodao Mantis as a bait to distract the thunder cloud elements and create opportunities for Ayou to make last-ditch attacks. This was his tactic.

The moment the Great Knife Mantis turned into white light and disappeared, the gray energy mass of the Netherworld Explosion suddenly appeared next to the Wet Moss Turtle.

Om-!
The surging Nether energy swept through, and the wet moss turtle that was still spinning was directly thrown away. First, it hit the protective force field heavily, and then bounced back, smashing a hole in the ground of the arena. Pit.

Already being turned half dead, and now being hit hard again, the wet moss turtle couldn’t hold on any longer, and stretched out its legs and completely passed out.

As the Wet Moss Turtle lost its ability to fight, the rain clouds that had shrouded the arena for more than ten minutes quietly dispersed, revealing bright sunshine.
