Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 27 AttackChapter 27 Attack
After returning to the city, Russell first handed the queen bee eggs to Lu Yinning for personal care, and then immediately rushed to the Beast Control Alliance Trading Center and spent tens of thousands of credits to purchase a fully automatic incubation device.

It wasn’t until he carefully placed the queen bee egg into the incubation tank and saw that the device began to operate normally and a thin layer of warm brown energy rose up inside the incubation chamber that he breathed a sigh of relief.

It’s not that Russell treats them differently and is willing to increase investment when encountering rare beasts. It’s actually that the growth conditions of queen bee eggs are much more stringent than those of ordinary insect beasts.

Not only do the temperature and humidity have to be controlled within a very stable range, but they also have to be continuously moistened with gentle insect energy to simulate conditions that are almost the same as those inside the hive, otherwise the delicate little queen bee will not be able to hatch.

While helping Russell, the top student Lu Yinning naturally recognized the golden queen bee egg, but she found that she didn’t seem to be too surprised. She was probably used to it...

After all, the queen bee is a pet beast that is known to exist. There is a precedent for easily cultivating large silkworms that can spit out rainbow yarns. It is not too unusual for Russell to suddenly bring back a queen bee egg.

”If you write about your experience in raising rainbow silkworms and taking care of the queen bee in your internship report, maybe it will be enough to directly secure a graduate degree...”

Looking at the queen bee eggs hatching quietly, Lu Yinning felt that as long as she continued to follow Russell, the future would be extremely bright.

good!Start learning about bug-type pets today, and strive to become an official clerk of the Insect House after graduation.

If Omushiya continues to expand, as the most senior employee, she might even be the store manager~
Although she has a somewhat introverted personality, Lu Yinning never hesitates when it comes to study and work. She just does what she says. She immediately bought many books online about cultivating insect-type pets.

In the days that followed, Lu Yinning always read a few books such as ”Encyclopedia of Insects - Southern Principality” and ”Postpartum Care of Silkworms” in her spare time, which made Russell very happy.

The employees in the store are so hardworking that it makes him, the boss, who just checks his phone whenever he has time, a little embarrassed...

……

Although he was thinking this, in the past few days while waiting for the queen bee to hatch and the top competition for the rookie group to begin, Russell still spent most of his time lying on the rocking chair and playing with his mobile phone...

But there is nothing he can do about it. His workload of screening energy every day is a bit heavy now, and the time he needs to rest will naturally be longer.

And... mobile phones are so much fun!

In the world of beast masters, almost everything is related to pet beasts. Even the daily gossip headlines on the Internet are no longer celebrity scandals, but news about well-known beast masters and their pet beasts.

Who is fighting with whom today, and someone will clear a certain secret realm tomorrow. Sometimes you can see videos of recent challengers released by various gyms, which is very exciting.

It was another afternoon, Russell was lying on the rocking chair smiling and reading an interesting piece of news titled ”The Mystery of Bloodline: Looks Like a Dragon, Has Skills Like a Dragon, Why Does the Lava Flying Dragon Have No Dragon Attributes?” Suddenly, one after another came from the sky. There were several loud bangs.

boom -

rumbling————

The strong sound wave even caused a slight vibration. At first, Russell thought it was an earthquake, and he was so frightened that he pulled Lu Yinning and ran outside the house.

However, the two of them did not feel the shaking of the earth next. Instead, loudspeakers across the city sounded the alarm.

”Orange alert: An attack occurred in Heilu Forest. The Senluo City garrison has rushed to the location of the incident. The situation is under control. Citizens, please do not leave the city. Please do not leave the city.”

After hearing the announcement, Russell understood the source of those loud noises.

He had seen similar attack warnings many times on the news, but this was the first time he had encountered one in person.

Moreover, the attack that just happened seems to be much more serious than what has been reported in the recent news.

Although Fenglin Road is located in the suburbs of Senluo City, it is still more than ten kilometers away from Heilu Forest. If the roar can be heard in such a large area, the situation at the scene must be quite tragic...

”What happened?” Undecided, Russell decisively opened the search software on his phone.

Sure enough, this kind of thing that shocked half of the city spread very quickly. Just a few minutes later, the news about the fourth-level attack in Senluo City was packed with major media.

According to the consistent classification standards for wild pet attacks, if the level of the pet increases by two levels, the event level will increase by one level. The loud noise just now was defined as a level four attack, which means that the level of the wild pet that launched the attack is at least Above the seventh level, it may even be as high as the eighth level.

The eighth-level pet beast is already an absolute powerhouse. It can wipe out a small village in a matter of seconds when it goes crazy.

Of course, as a second-level city, Senluo City would not be threatened by an eighth-level pet beast inside the city.

So after figuring out the situation, everyone didn’t panic too much. Instead, they had a lively discussion on the Internet with a happy mood.

However, after looking through all the news, Russell did not see any information about the attacker, which meant that the pet beast had already escaped before the garrison and reporters arrived.

It was powerful, and it was so loud when it attacked, but it escaped with one blow and ran away quickly, as if it was not violent. He recalled it in his mind, but he could not think of a high-level pet near Senluo City that matched this characteristic.

His curiosity was aroused, and Russell browsed the Internet for several times without giving up. However, the reports he saw were all similar. Except for the address in Senluo City and the attack level four, there was basically no information.

About three hours later, Senluo City officials finally issued a report on the attack.

In the video, a burly middle-aged man sat firmly on an armored vehicle and calmly announced to the people of Senluo City that the alert had been lifted.

He is a man of the hour who often appears in the news of Senluo City. He is the former senior air corps general of the Southern Principality and the current garrison commander of Senluo City - Yan Songbai.

Yan Songbai’s main pet beast is a purple-gold-level storm-winged lion beast known as the ”Sky Lord”. Its strength is firmly in the late seventh level. One high-level skill, tearing the vortex, can directly shatter metal structures.

With this strength, coupled with the presence of several local masters from Senluo City who are also seventh-level beast masters, and with the fire support of the city defense fortifications and the garrison, it is difficult for ordinary eighth-level beasts to cause too much trouble in Senluo City. .

With Yan Songbai stepping forward to lift the alarm, the attack was officially over and would not affect the trade and other affairs between cities.

At the end of the video, Senluo City officials also released some footage of driving away attacking beasts.

In the shaky picture, Russell saw a ball of black energy dodging numerous attack moves, and finally disappeared into the sky.

Unfortunately, because the black energy was too thick, he couldn’t see clearly what the pet beast inside looked like.

In addition to this video, Senluo City officials also issued a written notification. In the text, a description of the casualties in the attack caught Russell’s attention.

”After testing, the attacking pet beast has fairy attributes, and its strength is at the early stage of the eighth level... During its escape, it passed near the Youth Training Camp of the Beast Control Alliance and was fired by a psychic beam. Many people in the youth training camp were injured.”

Seeing the three big words ”Youth Training Camp”, Russell felt scared for a while.

The Beast Controlling Alliance Youth Training Camp is a training place open to all young beast control masters. It is located on the edge of the Black Dew Forest.

Thanks to the excellent teaching staff and frequent practical training, many outstanding players in the rookie competition come from there.

After advancing to the top , Russell could have participated in the pre-match training of this youth academy for free, but he was busy with the business of Yuchongya, so he declined.

At that time, Russell still regretted for a long time that he had no choice but to give up the pre-game training worth thousands of credits. Now it seems that it is really a blessing in disguise...
