The Daily Life Of A Cyberpunk Magician

Chapter 442 - 250 Magic Miracle: Feast of the Resurrected Corpses
Chapter 442: Chapter 250 Magic Miracle: Feast of the Resurrected Corpses”Magic? Why would he be in that place!?”

Police Chief Rubin’s heart was filled with shock, and he suddenly felt that the matter had become more perplexing and enigmatic.

The black-clad Hunter squad, exclusive to Chief Tang, had gone out of control in the city area, starting a frenzied slaughter, and now Magic appeared in the Central Obsidian Building in E3 District, and coincidentally, the areas where the Hunters emerged were just surrounding that Central Building.

Police Chief Rubin looked again at the rooftop of the Obsidian Building which resembled a stage, where Red Clo stood as if he were the star about to perform tonight.

”Could it be...” By this time, even the slow-reacting Police Chief Rubin had to realize, muttering, ”Did Magic do all this?”

At that moment, a gunshot came from nowhere, and a bullet shot straight towards Magic at the top of the Obsidian Building amidst the flash of gunfire.

But the bullet stopped three meters away from Magic, its sudden change from extreme motion to stillness causing the elongated bullet to deform and twist.

This shot seemed to trigger a switch, and in an instant, the neighborhoods around the Obsidian Building erupted in gunfire, the flashes from the gun barrels seemed to light up the entire sky of the Central District, with countless firepower directed at the silhouette atop the building’s roof.

An invisible spherical barrier stood in front of Magic, dissipating the kinetic energy of these bullets, and thousands of bullets just hung in front of him, forming a shield made of metal.

”Stop, don’t shoot!” Realizing what was happening, Police Chief Rubin shouted into the police communication channel, and he also heard other chiefs shouting in the channel.

It seemed that all the mid-level police officials had made the same choice.

The gunfire gradually ceased, and the bullets hanging in the air fell to the ground, becoming more violently falling objects that hit the ground, creating pits of various sizes with a clinking sound.

The broadcast systems of the surrounding buildings were turned on, playing the same classical music, giant beams of searchlights shone on him, and Red Clo continued to dance alone atop the roof.

Although he was dancing on the extremely narrow edge of the rooftop parapet, where a slight misstep could send him into the abyss, his steps were utterly confident, tapping along with the music.

”Go, send a special combat team up to check it out,” Police Chief Rubin also made the right judgment, adding, ”Do not allow the special combat team to attack Magic without confirmation of the situation.”

”Once the notification is complete, go check the morgue to see if there are any life signs and to determine the causes of death,” Police Chief Rubin added.

Previously, he had arranged for police officers without combat ability to move some poisoned corpses to the open space for storage, to facilitate subsequent work.

So now nearly a hundred bodies were laid out on the streets, which looked somewhat terrifying.

”Understood.” The officer nodded in understanding.

Although Rubin’s orders had already gone out through the police station’s voice channel, he still needed to act as a messenger and personally go to the front line, because no one knew how long the electromagnetic field disrupting signals would last.

As a tune neared its end, Red Clo finally stopped his dance steps. He bowed sincerely at ninety degrees in all directions, as if thanking an audience in the void, then he jumped down from the parapet, picked up a microphone placed nearby, coughed twice to clear his throat, and then looked down at the police officers and members of the Violent Terror Mobile Team below: ”Ladies and gentlemen of the Fifth District, happy midnight.”

”Magic...” At the same time, countless pairs of eyes in the darkness turned towards the rooftop of the Obsidian Building, their mouths muttering Magic’s name, their bodies involuntarily trembling, as if chanting the name of a demon.

No matter what, in this darkest moment, when Magic appeared before them, all they could feel was fear.

The demon of Thirteen District had come, bringing gas, death, and disaster.

”As you can see, I am standing here,” Red Clo nervously licked his lips, straightened his back, and spread his arms, ”As you can see, E3 District has fallen into an unprecedented dilemma.”

He glanced at his watch and curled his lips, ”Although, compared to that time in Thirteen District, it falls far short; it’s been almost an hour, and only 1783 civilians have been killed.”

”Anyway, I now want to play another game,” Red Clo continued, ”From now on, unless I give permission, no one is allowed to enter the Obsidian Building, and for every outsider that comes in, I will kill a civilian, believe me, I can do it.”

He waved a button in his hand, but he didn’t say what the button was for.

Presumably...

It’s a bomb or a gas button, right?

”Secondly, after the last failure, I’ve realized...” his voice paused, ”it seems a bit difficult to defeat that Magician, so this time my target is...”

Red Clo smiled sinisterly: ”Dick Tang.”

Under the pitch-black night, on that only bright rooftop, Clo spoke Tang’s name.

”Chief Tang?” Police Chief Rubin repeated the name. Since that time Chief Tang in his mechanical form had been killed inside the police station, he hadn’t seen Chief Tang again.

However, he did not doubt that Chief Tang would die because of this, the real Chief Tang must be hiding in the dark, ready to catch the true criminal mastermind behind the scenes.
