Chapter 419: Chapter 241 Crime Buster was killed by the criminal! At that moment, under the setting sun.

After finally finishing their statements and getting ready to leave the police station, Koichi Kojima and Ooishi caught sight of the Flame Demon the moment they stepped outside.

Sometimes, fate is indescribably curious.

”What is this...” Kojima stared blankly at the unknown creature, so shocked he couldn’t utter a complete sentence.

Only by facing such a monster can one truly feel the impact of shock.

Its towering height exceeded two meters, the massive body composed entirely of constantly surging flames, the terrifying heat scorching the air, distorting it into an obscure shape.

An evil, powerful presence provided Koichi Kojima with a tremendous shock to the point that, even as the Flame Demon approached within five meters of him, he remained frozen in place, his legs trembling slightly.

”Run!” In a critical moment, it was Ooishi who reacted faster. He grabbed Kojima and pulled him away before the two rapidly retreated, re-entering the safety of the police station.

Perhaps it was because their path was blocked or perhaps only within the police station did they feel a sufficient sense of security.

”What the hell is this thing?!” Kojima had regained his senses. The fear he had just experienced had turned into the urge to curse, as if only by expressing his anger could he alleviate his current terror.

”Who knows, it doesn’t seem to be after us.” Although Ooishi was carrying a camera, he was still able to run briskly ahead.

However, at a corner, he stopped once again to look back.

The Fiery Flame Demon’s pace was not much slower than theirs, and the reason it hadn’t caught up was that its target was not them.

”Bang—” The corridor door was blown open mercilessly by the Demon, which then swiftly charged into the room.

”Pop, pop, pop, pop—,” Gunshots erupted inside the room, the monster’s continuous roars resounded, a scene which made Kojima and Ooishi, hiding in the corner of the corridor, tremble continuously.

Why were so many reason-defying things happening today?

What exactly was this Flame Demon?

A Mutant?

Why was it attacking the police station?

Yet, the now-alert Kojima was the first to open the lens cap on the camera resting on Ooishi’s shoulder, he urgently said, ”Quick, record all this... No, switch on the program’s channel!”

”This... this is against the company’s policies,” Ooishi hesitated.

These programs were like live broadcast rooms, but they could only be aired during specified times. Broadcasting without permission could lead to a substantial fine.

”Who cares about rules at a time like this?” Kojima immediately became anxious. He hit the broadcast button on the program, ”Do you think the company gave us the authority to broadcast just for show? If they really wanted to restrict us, they wouldn’t give us permission in the first place. It’s about hot topics, Ooishi, social hot topics!”

”But... won’t we face retaliation if we film this here?” Ooishi was still hesitant, instinctively not wanting to get involved in these matters.

”Retaliation? By whom?” Kojima responded to Ooishi while his hands did not slow down at all. He was rapidly operating his wristwatch, striving to open his own program faster, ”By the police station or this Flame Demon? Don’t you remember our station’s Reggie—the one who exposed the health issues at Seks Hotel? See how much damage he caused Seks Hotel, but did anything happen to him? Now he’s a celebrity! Chains of hotels are begging him for promotions!”

”Alright,” Ooishi understood immediately. His mind wasn’t as quick as Kojima’s, but he knew that when Kojima decided to do something, there was a good reason for it.

Therefore, he quickly adjusted to the best filming mode and pointed the camera in the direction of the room.

Although Ooishi dared not get close and only dared to film from afar in the corridor, even just the glimpse of the scene coming from there was enough to sense the intensity of the battle inside.

Flames billowed, electricity danced, and gunshots continued without end.

”We now have an emergency special broadcast, this is ’Kojima’s Chronicles’,” Kojima also quickly entered the zone. Countless words flashed through his mind, and as soon as he opened his mouth, they spilled out, ”I’m Koichi Kojima, surrounded by an unimaginable disaster. I am inside the Fifth District Police Station, it is November 3rd, 6:13 PM, and after giving our statements here, we encountered an attack suspected to be from a Mutant. The police force inside the station is lacking, and now my cameraman Ooishi and I are trapped inside, we need help!”

With just a few words, Koichi Kojima clarified the current situation, placing himself in a position of seeking help for the police station rather than as a heartless clout-chaser, which could also perfectly avoid the risk of retaliation.

Moreover, his speech subtly conveyed the bravery and social responsibility of a social documentary program host, crafting an exceptional image of an anchor.

Of course, the ingenuity of this speech was all in Kojima’s own head. Ooishi really admired Kojima; while they had been fleeing non-stop, even he hadn’t noticed that there were hardly any people in the police station. The room had been under fire for a while, but still, no reinforcements had arrived.

Perhaps due to the lingering heat of the afternoon, once their program went on air, nearly ten thousand people rushed in, and the comments continued to flood the screen.
