Earth's Greatest Magus

The blast from the Cyclops was so sudden that he hadn’t prepared himself to counter it.

These giants, towering and monstrous, were creatures of immense power, top desolate level creatures nearing the level of ancient desolate beings. Its presence threatened to overwhelm the entire defensive effort.

Sensing the escalating danger, his resolve steeled to prepare to intervene personally.

But just as he readied himself to leap into the fray, a female voice echoed from within the Khaos hub.

“Let me!”

It was Morgana, carrying with it a command that brooked no refusal.

Morgana accessed the Khaos gate, her presence materializing on the battlefield like a blazing comet. Her wings, unfurled and blazing with fiery energy, gave her a formidable and majestic appearance. In a stunning display of raw power, Morgana unleashed her dark flames upon the battlefield. Multiple fireballs streaked through the sky, their blazing trails leaving scorched air killing dozens of abyss creatures, and bombarded the Cyclops with unrelenting force, each explosion shaking the ground and sending shockwaves through the subterranean forest.

Morgana didn’t stop there.

She charged forward, cutting through the chaos of her own fiery assault. Her form became a streak of darkness and flame as she targeted the largest of the three Cyclops. With precise and deadly accuracy, she struck the giant with all her might. The Cyclops staggered, its massive body reeling from the impact, and then, with a thunderous crash, it fell to the ground, momentarily incapacitated by the sheer force of Morgana’s attack.

The remaining Cyclops roared in fury, but Morgana’s dark, lethal flames formed an impenetrable barrier between the rampaging giants and the defenders. Her infernal fire pushed back the Cyclops, creating a crucial respite for Emery’s forces. This temporary lull allowed Emery the precious time he needed to activate his healing spell

Around Emery, the atmosphere shifted; the air became soothing and cool as a mist of life energy spread through the area. Drawing on the mastery he’d gained from the [Ocean Heart Vest], he unleashed a dual spell, a potent tier 7 magic that allowed him to channel both healing and restoration in tandem.

The first part of the spell, [Tidal Heart Healing], spread through the air like a gentle wave, washing over the injured orcs and Chizpur. The soothing energy knitted their wounds together, mended broken limbs, and restored their strength with remarkable speed.

The second part of the spell, [Sea Soul Restoration], channeled through Emery’s palms, focused on Damo. This spell was delicate yet potent, like the caress of a calm sea on a storm-tossed shore. Emery’s hands glowed with a soft, azure light as he directed the energy into Damo’s frail form, carefully mending the fragmented pieces of the young monk’s soul. Slowly, the light of consciousness began to return to Damo’s eyes, a sign that the restoration was working.

But just as Emery felt a glimmer of hope, a disturbance rippled through the air.

From behind the abyssal hordes, a figure began to reveal itself, a dark silhouette against the chaos of the battlefield. It unleashed a beam of golden energy, that passed through the broken wall aimed directly at where Emery and Damo stood.

In an instant, Emery moved to shield Damo, placing himself in the path of the oncoming attack. He raised his arms, channeling his strength into a protective barrier. The beam struck with a deafening roar, the impact reverberating through the cavernous forest.

BAAMMM!!!

The blast was powerful enough to send shockwaves through the air and cause the ground to tremble. Emery gritted his teeth, feeling the searing heat of the golden energy against his arms and in a blur of motion, he dashed out of the swirling smoke, his speed and space-bending abilities allowing him to appear right next to the cloaked figure in an instant.

Emery delivered a devastating punch, only for it to be blocked.

With a closer look, Emery caught sight of a mask beneath the cloak.

“WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?!” he roared, his voice filled with fury.

Convinced that this masked figure was the intruder, Emery unleashed the full force of his Immortal Gate at stage 9, pouring his rage into a second, even stronger punch. This time, his fist connected with the figure’s face.

BAAAMMM!!!

The impact of Emery’s punch was devastating, hurling the cloaked figure backward, its trajectory smashing through a horde of Abyss creatures within its path.

Emery’s rage surged, ready to chase down the figure and exact vengeance for the murder of his senior, Fuxi. However, a moment of clarity made him hesitate. Something didn’t add up—despite its formidable strength, the figure he had just struck couldn’t possibly have the power to kill the Eastern Sage.

In that fleeting moment, Emery caught a glimpse of the broken mask as it fell away. Beneath it was a featureless, flat face—no nose, no mouth—just two cold, inhuman eyes staring back at him. It was a puppet.

Realizing this, Emery’s focus snapped back to the real threat. He spun around, his heart racing, and his gaze locked onto Damo, still lying unconscious by the tree. But his worst fears materialized—a second cloaked figure had slipped past the crumbling walls and was already poised to strike the defenseless monk with a killing blow.

Just as the second cloaked figure was about to strike Damo, Yama intervened.

With a swift incantation, he unleashed a powerful ice spell, forming a barrier of jagged, frozen spikes between the assailant and the unconscious monk. The ice wall wasn’t impenetrable, and cracks quickly began to spiderweb across its surface, but it was enough—it bought Emery the precious seconds he needed.

Seizing the opportunity, Emery focused his energy, warping the very fabric of space around the cloaked figure. In an instant, the assailant was yanked toward him, the space-bending spell rendering any resistance futile. As the figure hurtled closer, Emery followed up with a gravity spell, slamming the puppet into the ground with a bone-crushing force.

BAMMM!!!!

The earth quaked under the impact, and for a moment, all was still. But the shattered mask revealed another lifeless puppet, its blank, featureless face confirming his suspicions. These high-grade constructs were mere tools, controlled by someone with immense power and skill.

“WHO?!” Emery’s voice echoed through the cavern, filled with frustration and fury.

His divine sense flared out, searching the area, desperate to find the puppeteer behind these attacks. But before he could lock onto any presence, both puppets sprang back to life with uncanny speed. They moved in perfect synchrony, their attacks precise and relentless, forcing Emery into a defensive stance.
