Cursed Immortality

Chapter 989: Star Auction Virtual House! (6)

The moment Nyx’s bid surfaced in the Star Auction Virtual House, everyone stopped thinking about the item and instantly focused on the bid with a hint of disbelief.

After all, seeing a rare element law essence was still acceptable. Still, someone bidding with superior element law essence for a rare element law essence was even more shocking not to mention a superior tier law essence were too rare, even 10 drops were enough to raise waves in the legendary plains, yet someone had taken out 15,00 drops, exactly enough to take the item no.28!

”So much Death Law Essence? Could it be some spy from the Dark Faction is bidding on their behalf?” The Hammer King’s eyes narrowed with a hint of greed, ”But with current state of the Dark Faction, I don’t think they’ll have so much law essence not to mention Death Law is their main law, they can create many legendary lords with this much law essence and even a legendary king!”

A masked woman in golden robes was also looking at the death law essence with an icy look in her spiral eyes as she muttered, ”Troublesome...”

Many powerful legendary kings became alert as they all paid more attention to this anonymous bidder because someone who could take out superior-tier law essence so quickly they weren’t simple.

Furthermore, everyone had already developed a prelude that the bidder was probably a lightning attribute expert, since this was the only possibility clause to compel something to bid with a superior-tier element.

Time continue to pass, and Nyx’s bid remained on its spot without any match or counter, and everyone thought that this item was already sold since no one would be able to match this much law essence not to mention lightning law essence wasn’t much worth it and having a variety of law essences was more beneficial.

However, out of everyone’s expectation, in one of the countless dome seats below the star seats, a human woman was anxiously looking at Nyx’s bid as if she wanted it to vanish or be canceled somehow.

”This is bad! I don’t need Death Law Essence at all! I only want to see if I can get m own element law essence by this way, but this damnable Anonymous483934029 suddenly interfere! If you have so much law essence, keep it to yourself!”

A twisted expression as if someone had stabbed her into heart appeared on the woman’s face, ”I should’ve had given my specific element...but then with unique my element is they would’ve easily guessed my origin especially the Holy King, and then I would be even bigger trouble for hiding the Lightning Law Essence from the Temple.”

When only ten seconds were left, the woman sighed in resignation, ”I overestimated those legendary kings; they are too stingy! Well, I still have around 5,000 more drops of lightning essence, and with those 1,500 drops of death law essence, a superior-tier element, I might have a chance to trade in the black market. I won’t give up easily and become a Legendary King, the top existence of Legendary Plains, just like I did in lesser plains!”

At this moment, an interface appeared in front of her, the moment the timer ended.

On another spot, Nyx was grinning with a victorious glimmer in her eyes as she looked at the notification, and muttered, ”Now, this is how it should be!”

She seemed very pleased with herself as she reported the success to Jacob and then told him that the item was coming in his way.

After the successful bid for item no. 28, the others were no longer eager for the final two items, since even a law essence was placed in the third-to-last spot.

The Auction Spirit didn’t waste any time and announced, ”Esteem Guests, I present to your Item No.29, the second last item of this auction...!”

The next moment, a new notification flashed across every interface, and everyone looked at it eagerly.

[Item Details: An explorer has found this strange cosmic gateway in a hazardous location of the legendary plains. This cosmic gateway isn’t claimed, but for some reason, one couldn’t enter, no matter the method. Furthermore, around the Cosmic Gateway are found the traces of an ancient shrine, and after extensive research, it is confirmed to be a worship place of the Yang Flame. The Gateway beside the shrine is most likely an ancient space where the Yang Flame should be located, or at least more clues about it, and the civilization that worships it.]

[SAAI has completed the investigation, and everything provided by the seller has been verified. Furthermore, the seller has already signed a strict contract, and it is confirmed that they haven’t given this information to others and won’t be able to if this item is successfully auctioned. Furthermore, with SAAI’s authority, they knew whoever got this information would have absolute control over it, and that absolute faction would absolutely not allow someone else to get it. Moreover, only those big factions have the capital to protect this information.

Just as everyone was imagining the outcome of this bidding war, a bid appeared instantly, accompanied by a fiery visual effect.

”Bid increased: 50,000 Star Crystals (Legendary King Rank) by [Witch of Songs]”

Those legendary lords and below took a deep breath when they saw the Star ID because this Witch of Songs was the Spirit Eye King, a King Alchemist, and she was probably bidding on behalf of the Alchemy Guild!

She had instantly increased the bid by forty thousand legendary king rank star crystals, which were an unimaginable amount of wealth for even a well-established legendary king.

However, they had no idea how important the Yang Flame was for these legendary kings.

”Bid increased: 100,000 Star Crystals (Legendary King Rank) by [Giant Warrior of War]”

Another huge player had revealed himself, and this wasn’t just anyone; it was the Chairman of the Zodiac Warrior Alliance and the proclaimed King of Giants, the Giant War King himself!

”Bid increased: 200,000 Star Crystals (Legendary King Rank) by [Golden Wiseman]”

This time, the President of the Universal Bank Mercenary Association, which represents the Zodiac Universal Bank, the strongest power of the Life Face, Wise King, has also revealed himself. With his addition, the entire Life Faction has shown its deep interest in Item No.29!
