Chapter 1082: Rudyʼs Memory Space

Vida sat by the chair next to the bathtub where she was closest to Rudyʼs head.

”Since Kaguya didnʼt explain the process to you, we will have to do it this way. First, forget everything. Stop thinking and focus on my voice only. You donʼt have to speak if you think it will distract you, but letʼs set a signal for yes and no. What is the easiest thing you can do while in this state?”

Vida waited for a few seconds for a reply, but after meeting with nothing but silence, Kaguya said, ”Didnʼt you just ask him to not speak if itʼs distracting?”

Vida shot a glare at Kaguya, but nodded soon after and uttered, ”Okay, how about this. You donʼt have to do anything if the answer is yes. If the answer is a no, then move your finger in the bathtub, or do something that would cause ripples in the water.”

Vida got up from the chair and signaled Kaguya to come closer with her eyes.

Kaguya was a bit hesitant since Rudy was naked in the bathtub and she didnʼt want to see him naked. Of course, as a nurse, it wasnʼt anything out of the ordinary to see patients naked. Still, it wasnʼt a daily occurrence, and that happened in the presence of doctors.

After a moment, she got up and sat on the chair Vida was previously sitting on, while Vida had begun the session.

Visa was sitting on the floor mattress, and her hands were on Rudyʼs head. The tips of her fingers glowed in a blue hue as she rubbed them on the sides of Rudyʼs head.

”Okay, Rudy. Think about something that calms you down.”

In the influence of magical anesthesia, Rudy had no control over his thoughts. His ability to think had weakened to the point that he wouldnʼt have been able to even utter a full sentence.

Since Vida had asked Rudy to think of something, he thought of sex. Perhaps it was what he wanted deep down, or it might just be the work of his super libido.

Kaguya was already aware of how the session worked. Whenever Vida needed assistance, she simply gestured with her eyes and Kaguya would understand.

”I am connected to your brain now. Whatever happens, do not panic. If you do, it will be dangerous for both of us. It can lead to permanent injuries.” Uploaded by the *) team.

Within a few minutes, the blue hue from Vidaʼs fingertips had spread all over Rudyʼs head.

”There is too much disturbance in your brain. I will have to dive deeper. Please stay calm.” With that said, Vida glanced at Kaguya and pointed her eyes at the candle beside her that was burning blue flame.

Kaguya nodded in reassurance and placed the candle in her hand.

Vida closed her eyes after saying, ”Think of a moment that resonates the most with you.”

Rudy had many moments in his life and it was impossible for him to pick one. Eventually, he chose the moment which he missed the most.

Angelica.

Out of all the moments he could have thought of, he recalled the time where Angelica had sucked him off the first time in the schoolʼs washroom.

Since Vida was now deeply connected with Rudy, she could see what Rudy was thinking of, and she was speechless.

ʼI have been doing this for the last five years of my career and I have never had a patient who thought about such a thing. Well, no need to worry about it. Whatever helps him calm down.ʼ

Vida continued to explore Rudyʼs memories and couldnʼt find an end to it.

ʼWhatʼs happening? Why is there so much space in his memories? I need to find the end point and connect it with the start point to begin the process.ʼ

Vida grabbed the blue thread tied to her spirit and explored deeper. The blue thread was Vidaʼs spiritual power, and the longer it was stretched, the weaker the action will become.

However, even after spending an hour inside Rudyʼs memory space, Vida hadnʼt reached the end. She had come so far that she couldnʼt even feel her body.

ʼIf I go any further, my connection with my body might break and I will be lost here forever. I feel like I have entered a void. This is not something that I can handle.ʼ

Vida glanced around and the only thing she could see was the moment Rudy was thinking about, which was now so far away that she could barely make anything out of it.

ʼThe moment is supposed to be enveloping everything, which is why itʼs necessary to think about something. It helps the spiritualist guild through the memory space. To think that I have come so deep, yet I canʼt see anything. Just who is this person? No one can have such… a void.ʼ

Vida thought it would be disappointing to return after coming this far. It would still take the same amount of time for her to reach the start point again.

ʼMaybe I will just look around here for a little more while. Kaguya is watching over the candle, and she can pull back in an instant if she senses danger.ʼ

Vida gripped the blue thread tightly and went deeper into Rudyʼs memory space.

Meanwhile, Kaguya was contemplating on what she should do next.

ʼThe color of the flame has almost vanished. Itʼs turning orange. Her connection with her body will be cut once the blue flame disappears. Should I pull her back? Itʼs been more than an hour!ʼ

Kaguya didnʼt want to make a choice. She could possibly ruin Vidaʼs progress by doing so.

ʼIf I mess this up, I should bid farewell to my friendship with Vida. But… her life is more important to me than our friendship. I will wait for five more minutes.ʼ

The time passed, and five minutes were about to end. Kaguya couldnʼt see any chances in the flame, but she could sense the blue flame slowly vanishing.

ʼThis should be enough.ʼ

Kaguya moved her hand towards the flame to extinguish it. But suddenly, the flame turned black.
