Esper Harem in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1065: Kneeling Dragon

”....?” Rudy was baffled by the sudden change in the atmosphere.

ʼWhy is a dragon bowing to me and calling me Lord?ʼ Rudy wondered. ʼPerhaps she knows me? Nah, it doesnʼt seem like it. She is bowing to me as an inferior being, as though she is my… servant or something.ʼ

ʼShould I play along or ask her questions? I could get some valuable answers from her, which I have been wanting to know. Or… option C!ʼ

Rudy cleared his throat and spoke, ”What is the meaning of this?”

”I am extremely sorry, My Lord.”

”Look at me when you speak!” Rudy ordered.

”I am ashamed to look at you, my lord.”

ʼ....ʼ Rudy understood the situation and thought, ʼIsnʼt this cringe? I mean, what the fuck? If anything, I should be scared of her, right? She is a goddamn dragon, for fuckʼs sake. Yet, I donʼt feel anything. Since when did I become so… unflappable?ʼ

If it was anyone other than Rudy, they would have been pissing their pants.

Natural instincts. Each and every living being was born with instincts that naturally gave them a sense of fear of something stronger than them when they saw them. A dog scared of a lion, and an imp scared of an orc.

There was no one in the entire universe who wasnʼt scared of Rudy. Some tried to challenge him and met their ends.

”I think you donʼt understand what I am saying,” Rudy said and continued, ”I asked you to look at me when you speak. You better donʼt make me repeat myself!”

The dragon girl immediately raised her hand and made eye contact with Rudy. However, she averted her eyes just a second later.

Rudy showed her the orb and asked, ”Is this your doing?”

”....” The dragon girl stayed silent and gulped down nervously.

ʼYeah, itʼs definitely her. I donʼt know why or how, but I just know. Obviously, itʼs one of my powers, too.ʼ

Rudy frowned his face and asked, ”What is the meaning of this?”

”My deepest apologies, My Lord. But it wasnʼt in my control.”

”Proposterus!”

”Itʼs true, My Lord! You know everything and I would never dare to lie in front of you.” She looked into Rudyʼs eyes and said, ”I would choose death over that.”

ʼCalm down, my hormones! This isnʼt the time to get a boner! This girl could be an enemy!ʼ

Rudy found the dragon girl attractive at the very first sight, and upon seeing how submissive her nature was towards him, his hormones couldnʼt help but give him extra blood pressure.

”State your reason.”

”As you know it, that is my heart. It was sealed far away, deep within an ocean.”

ʼOkay, what the fuck?! She has got to be kidding, right?! How can a living being be alive after their heart has been— okay, I will just stop applying logic to everything. My powers are the same. They donʼt follow the logic, either.ʼ

”A few thousand years ago, during the great dragon war, I was put into a deep slumber and sealed away. Still, I was too strong to be sealed away forever. I am immortal and I canʼt be killed by anyone— but of course, my lord, you are an exception. You can kill me without even raising your finger.”

ʼI can do that?ʼ Rudy was impressed by himself.

”Hence, to delay my awakening, they used a forbidden sealing technique and pierced my heart, taking my heart out of my body. They sealed my heart far away, thinking that would keep me in a slumber for a few thousand years more.

However, thanks to you, I am now awake. You removed all the celestial level seals and woke me up from my slumber.”

ʼWhen did I do that? And celestial levels? Isnʼt that like… god…ly?ʼ

”When my heart sensed a strong being, it activated the defense mechanism and came to counter you. It simply wanted to get rid of the threat and attacked you without knowing anything. It wasnʼt on purpose, nor was it meant to anger you,” the dragon girl explained everything, but with a quivering voice, as if one wrong word from her mouth would result in her death.

ʼSo it was like a safety mechanism? If the attack wasnʼt intentional… should I..ʼ

Rudy was conflicted about what to do next. Should he punish the dragon or forgive her? There was also a possibility that she was lying. Rudy had no way to prove that, but somehow he knew she wasnʼt lying.

Either way, the attack was powerful, which could result in multiple deaths. What if Rudy didnʼt have powers? Would he have survived that and healed Eric?

Although if he was powerless, they wouldnʼt have been attacked in the first place.

After thinking for a while, Rudy had decided the dragonʼs fate.

ʼI canʼt just forgive her, but I canʼt punish her, either. I should do something that she would find unpleasant, but okay for me. I mean…ʼ

Rudy closely inspected the dragon girlʼs body and gulped down.

ʼCome on, Rudy. This is not you. She is a stranger. You canʼt look at someone like that and have such vile thoughts. I know itʼs because of my super libido, but still. This is not okay. Because the more I think about it, the hornier I get, and it would make it difficult to get rid of it.ʼ

The twenty-four-hour limit of his super libido was about to end soon.

”My friend was hurt badly because of you.”

The dragon girl lowered her gaze and muttered, ”I apologize, my lord. You can punish me all you want. You can kill me if I have made you angry.”

Rudy tossed the orb in the air and caught it.

”...” The dragon girl watched as Rudy played catch with the orb that was her heart.

”What will happen if I crush your heart?” Rudy asked with a curious look on her face.

”It wouldnʼt kill me, but I would lose all my powers and become a… human. Under normal cases, my heart would regenerate immediately, but you can make it stop.”

”I shall do it, then.”

The dragon firm slammed her head on the ground and pleaded, ”Anything, but that, my Lord. I would prefer dying instead of becoming a human!”
