Global Survival: Infinite Tower Defense

Chapter 20 Let There Be Light

Chapter 20 Let There Be Light

Lin Xuan felt like he was about to fall asleep.

Glancing at the system time, an hour has passed.

The ghost king army who was sent by Lin Xuan to measure the distance of the underground space still hasn’t come back.

Could it be that this product has deviated from the course?
Or is there any monster in this invisible space? Is the Ghost King’s army entangled?

What is certain is that the ghost king army is not dead. If Lin Xuan dies, there will be statistics here. Now the number of ghost king army has not decreased.

Just wait a little longer, if there is no accident to the ghost king army and the process goes smoothly, then Lin Xuan would rather wait a little longer.

The longer the wait, the bigger the space, the wider the coverage area, the longer and more subway lines, and the more places Lin Xuan can go in the future.

Bigger is better, and slower is better.

During this period, Lin Xuan asked a ghost king army to bring down a bundle of firewood, and when he came in, the firewood he brought was almost burned out.

Wait, wait, this ghost king army just doesn’t come back
Another hour passed.

Waiting like this is really boring, and while waiting, Lin Xuan has been thinking about a problem.

Since Yewu Town has such a mysterious underground floating city, besides being able to use it as a subway to travel, what else can it do?

For example, put all the defensive towers here, and then open up the ground, so that the attacks of the defensive towers can still be attacked, and at the same time they can be protected, after all, this is underground.

Lin Xuan’s idea is to build this place into a secret underground base, and put all his defense towers in, so that his defense towers will not be exposed to the outside.

To do this, first of all, there must be a fixed carrier here, that is to say, there must be a place in the space where defense towers can be built.

Secondly, Lin Xuan wants to open up the ground. If the area here is large, then this is a huge project.

Finally, make sure there are no scary monsters here.

Then it is very important to figure out what the terrain here looks like, at least you have to see what this space looks like first, right?

Let there be light.

How can there be light? At present, there is no power system in this cataclysmic world, nor does it provide bright equipment.

But this is a magical world. Since everyone has talents and abilities, the light from this world does not only rely on technological equipment.

Can use special abilities to create light.

That is, God said, let there be light.

”Try it, there should be one, right?” Lin Xuan decided to take a gamble.

He has three unbuilt defenses in his backpack.

In the past 5 days, he has acquired 5 defense towers, 2 of which have been built, and 3 are still in his backpack.

The 2 new defensive towers built are both 【Elf Towers】.

[Elf Tower] has a great feature that it has a special skill called [Elf Guardian]

This skill has only one effect, that is, it can perform a soul link with the selected target, and [Spirit Tower] will directly integrate into the soul of the target as a guardian spirit.

This means that Lin Xuan now has two [Elf Towers] in his body. The [Elf Tower] is directly linked to his soul and exists with Lin Xuan as a carrier.

In other words, Lin Xuan is also a ”defense tower” now, and it is a mobile defense tower. The [Elf Tower] in his body also has magic attacks.

[Spirit Tower] has this feature, so it is equivalent to giving Lin Xuan a special layer of protection, so that he, the son of the tower, can have the protection of the [Defense Tower] anytime and anywhere, so that he himself has a certain combat power.

Although [Spirit Tower] is mostly an auxiliary means, if the upgrade is high enough and the number is large enough, then it is also a force that cannot be underestimated.

As long as there is a [Elf Tower], there is no doubt that it can be built directly, and then the soul can be linked into Lin Xuan’s body.

What are the other 3 defensive towers?

They are all 【Elemental Towers】.

Why did Lin Xuan not build them but keep them? It’s very simple, because Lin Xuan must have enough life-saving means.

Originally, he planned to explore the mysterious area during the rest period after the catastrophe ended.

Since it is a mysterious area, and the system has clearly stated that it will be dangerous, Lin Xuan must ensure that he has the fighting power.

There are several defensive towers in the backpack, and when needed, they can be built on the spot to save lives.

The idea is good, but unfortunately, he can’t go to the mysterious area at all, and the three [elemental towers] are left behind.

The meaning of Lin Xuangang’s gamble is that he wants to see if there will be light elements in these three defensive towers.

Because before the defense tower is built, it is impossible to know what its attributes are and what its specific name is, and it can only be known after it is built.

Only the type is known, but what exactly it can be seems random.

There are many types of [Element Tower], but what Lin Xuan wants is the light element.

If there are light elements, can the light elements produce lighting effects? This is also unknown.

So this is a bet, or to be precise, it is two bets. The first bet is that there are light elements in these three defense towers, and the second bet is that the light elements can produce light effects.

Lin Xuan had this idea when he first came in, but he was a little hesitant, he didn’t know if this space could really be used by him, if not, then it would be a waste to build three [Elemental Towers] here.

As for why he wanted to gamble now, it was because this space was so attractive to Lin Xuan. The longer he stayed here, the more curious he would become, and the subway alone was already attractive enough.

Just try it!
Lin Xuan began to build the tower.

The first [Elemental Tower] is released.

It is [Water Element Tower].

Then put the second seat.

It is [Wooden Element Tower].

”Fuck, big brother, don’t, God bless, give a light element!” Lin Xuan was anxious.

He began to pray, clasping his hands together like a pious believer, looking up at the sky.

This time, God felt Lin Xuan’s sincerity.

[Light Element Tower]!
”Nice!” Lin Xuan shouted excitedly.

The shape of the [Light Element Tower] is a transparent ball the size of a fist. It floats on the ground, and the body emits bursts of soft white light.

White light instantly illuminates this space, like a rising star.

However, it is far from enough.

[Light Element Tower] can produce light effects, its lighting effect is only 1000 meters, which is not enough at all.

This pitch-black space is too large, and the light hits it like it has been swallowed up, and it can’t reach the head at all.

Only the rocks at the top can be seen clearly.

There are layers of black rocks, which should be some kind of special stones, but the top is not flat, and many protruding rocks are like hanging stalactites, with different shapes.

It is also like the ice edges condensed from the cold winter months, growing downward like rows of spikes.

The dark top rock, under the silver-white light, looks like a group of monsters with teeth and claws.

”Although the light effect is not strong enough, there is finally light.” Lin Xuan looked at the small light element and had another idea in his mind.

Light elements should be weightless, right?Even if there is, at least this [Light Element Tower] should look very light now.

Lin Xuan knelt down and reached out to touch the [Light Element Tower].

I picked it up easily, like a light pearl at night.

well.

Now, just wait for the Ghost King Army to come back.

If it comes back unscathed, it proves that the space is safe going forward, at least for now.

I don’t know how to go down.

Here, I don’t know how deep it is, and generally the deeper the ground, the more likely there is something weird and weird.

I hope not.

As long as the Ghost King Army returns safely, Lin Xuan plans to investigate this space himself.

Look what the hell this place is.
