Chapter 19 The Underground Floating City

Chapter 19 The Underground Floating City

Lin Xuan called a few Ghost King soldiers and asked them to go down along the entrance of the cave.

The ghost king’s army was so big that they could barely squeeze through the hole, but they could only get in one by one.

When the ghost king’s army went down, Lin Xuan took out the lighter in his pocket, found a bundle of firewood, lit a wooden stick and asked him to hold it.

One is for lighting, and the other is to find out whether there is enough oxygen in this underground space.

After 10 ghost kings went down, Lin Xuan followed.

Each of the 10 ghost kings holds a lit stick.

Lin Xuan followed at the end, slowly walking down the stairs.

On both sides of the stairs are thick ordinary walls, nothing worth noting.

After about 2 minutes, we reached the end of the stairs.

Lin Xuan counted, and there were a total of 100 steps. The height of the ladder is about 0.2 meters, so the total vertical length of the ladder is 20 meters.

At the end of the stairs is a flat road. After walking along the road for 30 meters, the thick walls on both sides have also come to an end, and the nearby space suddenly becomes open.

Two steps forward, there is a dark cliff.

No way.

”What...is this place?” Seeing the scene in front of him, Lin Xuan was a little surprised.

Where he is now is a circular stone platform with a radius of 10 meters, and around the stone platform is an endless dark space.

Lin Xuan took the lit firewood and lay on the edge of the stone platform, that is, the edge of the cliff. Looking down, he found that there was nothing under the stone platform, and it was also a pitch-black space.

Like a bottomless abyss.

The left, right, and front are all so dark as the night sky, and the firewood flames have a limited lighting distance, so it is impossible to completely illuminate this huge underground space.

Looking up, a layer of pitch-black rock can be vaguely seen, which should be the top of this space.

The length of the stairs is 20 meters, and Lin Xuan is 5 meters away from the top of this space, so the distance between the top of this space and the ground is 15 meters.

In other words, at a depth of 15 meters below the ground of Yewu Town, there is such a huge dark space.

[You have entered the hidden mysterious area, the floating city]

system hint.

”The floating city?” Lin Xuan was taken aback.

Take a closer look at the word floating.

Does this... mean to float?

Lin Xuan looked up again at the top of the space, it was about 5 meters away, so it shouldn’t be hurt, right?
Give it a try.

Lin Xuan stood on the spot, then lightly weighed his feet, exerted force on the soles of his feet, and kicked slightly.

Then...he flew up!
The body is light, slowly floating into the air as if breaking away from the gravity of the earth.

Although he was floating, he didn’t feel the uncomfortable feeling of weightlessness at all, just like he suddenly learned lightness kung fu.

It’s just that in the process of slowly floating upwards in the air, Lin Xuan couldn’t turn his direction, and he couldn’t use his strength. He could only use the strength of kicking his legs upwards at the beginning to float upwards.

Slowly he approached the top rock. Lin Xuan stretched out his hand to support the top rock, then pushed back with a little force, and he began to fall again.

Pedal back to the ground and return to normal.

Lin Xuan understood.

This space is like outer space, all things will lose weight here. Although there is no sense of weightlessness, they can gain the power to float.

When the body is completely off the ground, the floating effect can be obtained, which means that the floating effect can be obtained automatically. Of course, you can also walk freely on the ground here, and you will not be in a floating state and cannot control yourself as soon as you enter.

There is such a magical space in the underground of Yewu Town?

Now Lin Xuan understood the reason for the disappearance of Zhang’s daughter.

She must be hiding here with her lover to live the two-person world of you and me. As long as the two have enough food and water, they can live here for a month. There is enough oxygen here.

The two of them, in this floating space, must have spent a month like a couple of gods. Even though the place is empty and dark, it is enough to stay with the one they love.

Hmm... Does this plot look familiar?

In this space, there won’t be a princess who has taken the elixir of life waiting here, right?

The space is pitch black and nothing can be seen. Even if a princess appears, it must be a female ghost, right?Scared to death.

So the question is, how big is this space?
It can be measured.

Contestant Lin has no measuring tools or sophisticated scientific instruments, but he can roughly measure it through the simplest calculation method.

Manual measurement.

”Brother, I offended you.” Lin Xuan smiled at a Ghost King Jun standing beside him, and then kicked his ass!
The burly body of the Ghost King Army remained motionless.

”Damn... trough!” Lin Xuan yelled in pain as he hugged his foot.

Is this guy that heavy?
Pretending to fail.

”Well, you jump by yourself, rush forward, and rush forward in a straight line. If you encounter an obstacle, push it with your hand, and then go back in a straight line, understand?” Lin Xuan patted the ghost king awkwardly Army waist.

The Ghost King Army could not speak, and it was not known whether it understood Lin Xuan’s words. After hearing the order, it rushed forward and jumped directly from the cliff into the dark void.

It obtained the effect of floating, and its body flew towards the front of the space in a straight line with the help of inertia.

The torch in his hand sank into the blackness like a tiny firefly.

Soon, the ghost king army’s figure disappeared and was drowned by the huge black.

”The timing started, and the visual speed is 5 meters per second.” At the moment when the Ghost King Army rushed out, Lin Xuan roughly estimated its floating speed.

This space is weightless, a state similar to a vacuum, so there is no friction in it.

After the ghost king army rushes out, it will keep advancing at a constant speed until it hits an obstacle.

Hit an obstacle, produce impact force, then it will bounce back again.

The process of bouncing back is the same, it will keep the speed of bouncing back unchanged, and keep going back at a constant speed.

When it came back, Lin Xuan could roughly estimate the speed at which it bounced back by visual judgment again.

Start timing when it leaves, and end when it comes back.

Timing can be seen through the system time, this does not need to be calculated by Lin Xuan himself.

Assume that the one-way distance traveled by the Ghost King Army is X, the total time for the round trip is Y, the departure speed is S, and the return speed is Z.

The total duration Y is known, the departure speed S is known, and the return speed Z is known, the following formula can be derived.

(X divided by S) plus (X divided by Z) equals Y.

That is, the time to go plus the time to come back equals the total duration.

In this way, we can calculate how much X is, that is, the one-way distance, that is, the distance traveled by the Ghost King Army from the time it starts until it touches the obstacle.

It’s just a rough calculation, it won’t be very accurate, because the speed of the round trip is estimated by Lin Xuan’s naked eyes, and the round trip distance is not necessarily exactly the same, and the distance is not necessarily exactly the same.

After all, it is a manual measurement without any tool assistance.

If the test shows that the space is large, then Lin Xuan has a good idea to implement.

Although it is not known what is in this underground space for the time being, it is certain that it is possible to fly here.

If its area is large, it may spread to far away places, so, isn’t this a space where you can travel quickly by flying?
This is the subway.

As long as the ground is opened, then you can get out of the underground space. Isn’t that a subway station?

On the ground, you need to rely on your feet to walk, but here, in this underground space, you can fly.

Not only fast enough but not tiring at all.

The speed can be adjusted by itself, but you need to pay attention when you stop, so as not to hit it, this is easy to solve.

As long as the space is large enough and the coverage is wide enough, then it is a subway station!
Lin Xuan can rely on this underground floating city to travel quickly underground.

Hurry on the road without making a sound, as if fleeing to the ground.

How cool.
