Chapter 224 Old Buck's Gift

Chapter 224 Old Buck’s Gift
”Why are you here?” Old Buck smiled apologetically at the group of people surrounding him, and then strode towards Zhang Cheng.

”I heard that your research project has made a major breakthrough. Of course I want to come and have a look.” Zhang Cheng opened his arms and hugged the old Buck who was walking towards him.

”Really? Then you are well-informed. I only succeeded in researching it yesterday.”

Old Buck looked at Zhang Cheng with a look of surprise. Except for the researchers in the Science and Technology Association, few people in the outside world knew that he had successfully developed the first generation of human mechanical exoskeleton.

Some researchers may even take a break these days and not come to work, so they don’t know what happened in the science and technology conference.

Zhang Cheng waved his hand: ”I didn’t hear it from Mayor Justin. Mayor Justin always has a news channel.”

”So that’s how it is,” Old Buck showed a look of sudden realization. His research funds were all obtained from the Federation, so when he had any research results, he had to report them to the Federation in time.

That’s why Justin was able to know that Old Buck had developed a human mechanical exoskeleton. After all, Justin had always had great expectations for Old Buck.

”How about it, what do you think about my device? You should have heard the introduction just now.”

”It’s very good,” Zhang Cheng said honestly, and he didn’t mean to pursue it deliberately: ”To be honest, I also really want to try this kind of props that appear in science fiction movies.”

”Are you interested?” Old Buck was taken aback when he heard Zhang Cheng’s words, and then said: ”Now this device has been put into production, and it may take less than ten days for this human mechanical exoskeleton to produce the first A batch is coming.”

”Although the first batch of mechanical skeletons produced may not be many, after all, it is still very difficult to make such a thing, but if you want it, I can reserve one for you in advance.”

Zhang Cheng shook his head and said, ”I may not be able to wait for that time. I have already decided to go to the D0101 area. I wonder if you have heard about the D0101 area?”

Old Buck had a solemn expression on his face: ”Are you going to the D0101 area? Going to the rescue is not an easy task, and you may encounter many dangers.”

”That area has sent a final call for help, indicating that it is the end of the road. Once you pass, you may have to prepare for a life-and-death battle.”

Old Buck looked serious, and it could be seen that he cared about him very much, so Zhang Cheng was also a little touched.

”Don’t worry, old Buck. Even if you stay in this area, you may not be safe. I will be careful. I’m just going to rescue, and I won’t put myself in it.”

Hearing what Zhang Cheng said, the expression on Old Buck’s face eased a lot, and he said: ”That’s fine, then you must be careful, I know you have good fighting power, but you don’t know how many enemies you have to face. So fierce!”

Old Buck sighed: ”Forget it, then I will give you this set of human mechanical exoskeleton first. Originally, this one was just made, and it was intended to be used as a product display and promotion. Since you are going to the battlefield, then Let you take it first.”

”This...” Zhang Cheng waved his hand subconsciously, ”You don’t need old Buck, you only have one way, don’t slow down the progress of your project because of me.”

Old Buck didn’t listen to Zhang Cheng, and turned around and took out a one-piece armor-style mechanical suit from a metal bin placed on the stage behind him.

Zhang Cheng deduced that it should be the human mechanical exoskeleton device. The human mechanical exoskeleton should be very heavy, and it was still a bit difficult for Old Buck to drag it out.

”This is the mechanical exoskeleton, bring it on, it can make you perform a lot better in battle.”

Seeing Old Buck struggling to drag the mechanical exoskeleton out of the metal bin, Zhang Cheng sighed lightly, and stepped forward to help Old Buck lift the human mechanical exoskeleton device together.

”Believe me, although it looks cumbersome, but borrowing the energy device in its body, not only will its own weight not burden you, but it can also provide you with huge mobility. You can use it with confidence, and it will not harm you. What is the impact of its own flexibility.”

Zhang Cheng said with a wry smile: ”I know old Buck, I believe that what you have studied for so many years must be a magical weapon, but for you...”

”I’m fine!” Old Buck interrupted what Zhang Cheng was going to say. He knew what Zhang Cheng was going to say: ”It’s just an extra half a month. It’s the same when I show my mechanical skeleton.”

”That’s fine! I’ll thank you for your mechanical exoskeleton when I come back!” Old Buck had already said it very clearly, and there was no need for Zhang Cheng to refuse, but he just remembered Old Buck’s help to him in his heart.

”Be sure to come back safely!”

……

The helicopter frantically stirred up the airflow, making violent and violent wind noises.

[Dear survivors, area D0101 has been arrived, please prepare to land on the ground. 】

Sitting somewhere on the helicopter, Zhang Cheng suddenly opened his eyes.

”Is it finally here? I don’t know what’s going on below now.”

Zhang Cheng looked down at the helicopter. The helicopter was slowly landing on the ground and would soon reach the ground.

”Huh?” Zhang Cheng frowned suddenly, and he found that the scene below was much worse than he had imagined.

Generally speaking, even if the infection wave has invaded most of the territory of the Federation, the center of the Federation of Survivors should still be able to defend.

After all, the Federal City Center is the place where all survivors live and live, so there must be strong fortifications and city walls outside the urban area as the last line of defense.

But Zhang Cheng just took a casual look and found that the situation in the D0101 area was much worse than he expected.

I saw that the urban area of D0101 area has already been occupied in a large area.

The entire northern part of the city center has almost been reduced to a paradise for infected creatures.

Not even a living survivor could be seen among them.

Due to the limited territory of the Survivor Federation, the federal city area was very crowded when it was first built.

The density of survivors in the federal urban area is very high, basically a street is full of people going back and forth.

But now, the entire northern half of the urban area has been reduced. Even if the survivors in the federation have evacuated to the southern urban area in advance, the area of the southern urban area may not be able to accommodate so many survivors.

So Zhang Cheng can easily draw a conclusion - I am afraid that many survivors have died in the process of being invaded.
