Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Without a doubt, the animated short ”Echo Chamber” lived up to its name, carrying a sharp, biting irony. It was a stark, dystopian dark fairy tale that ruthlessly tore away the fig leaves of certain people, hiding those deep-seated truths within seemingly exquisite models and stories.

In the story, the old man was originally the last craftsman in the imperial palace. But as the dynasty was about to collapse, the other imperial relatives began to flee for their lives. The handicrafts that once symbolized status and identity had completely lost their value. So, this craftsman chose to follow the others and escape.

On the road to escape, he was lucky enough to be taken in by a minor noble who had always admired him. The noble allowed him to bring his family along to flee.

And so, this group embarked on a journey overseas.

The first half of the video depicted the splendor of the palace but also the fragmentation of the nation and family.

In the face of national disaster, human life was as cheap as grass. Regardless of status, high or low, no one could escape the crushing force of modern weapons. Countless people lost their lives.

Many viewers who saw these scenes couldn’t help but marvel at the creator’s ability. He had managed to adjust the AI animation to capture the tragic desolation and heroic sorrow of that era, even filling it with humanized grief, anger, and compassion. Even though it was just an AI work, it still deeply moved people. This was truly something ordinary AI creators couldn’t achieve.

The second half of the video told the feel-good story of the craftsman bringing his family abroad and starting from scratch to build a new life.

This craftsman truly lived up to his title as a royal artisan. His works were wildly popular overseas. Even though he still faced discrimination and humiliation, there was no doubt that he relied on these skills to successfully establish a foothold for his family abroad.

The battlefield and wilderness that were once filled with the blood and tears of the nation and family had transformed into the dazzling socialite playground of high-society England. The old man, who had once been adrift and living day to day, still kept his queue. But his clothes were magnificent, his posture was proud, and his story was astonishing.

Even in later generations, when the old man’s descendants returned to their former homeland and stood on the podium as successful people, they had the same look and the same posture. The only thing that had changed was the queue, now cut off. When they spoke, their heads were slightly raised, and they were greeted by cheers and applause from the audience below.

If the story was simply viewed like this, it would naturally be perfect.

But clearly, the truth of the story was far from that.

” ’Echo Chamber’ is truly the most substantive AI work I’ve ever seen. It’s obvious that the creator also has a very solid foundation in creation. Especially the modeling details in some parts, I think they were manually adjusted by him. The AI software he used shouldn’t be the kind of mindless text-to-video generator that the general public knows about. I’m just not sure what the ratio of manual work to AI is.”

A Bilibili video analysis blogger analyzed it seriously.

”Have you truly understood the ten details hidden inside? Now, follow my lead, and let’s analyze this ’Echo Chamber’ piece by piece in even greater detail...”

Xiao He ate his breakfast while listening to the blogger’s analysis. After swallowing a piece of bread, he began to recall, ”Did I really bury that many details?”

Well, maybe?

Ah, after working through the night, his mind was a fog now. He couldn’t remember clearly.

”So, Brother Xiao, is everything mentioned in this animated short real?” Xiao Chen sat nearby, watching the projected video behind them, and asked curiously. ”They say the Yun Family isn’t actually some kind of yellow-banner or white-banner nobility, but just a descendant of craftsmen who took over someone else’s nest and are utterly heartless?”

Liu Rulan also looked at Xiao He.

”Yeah, pretty much.”

Xiao He’s tone was indifferent. ”This matter is actually pretty easy to investigate. After all, there are still descendants of the nobility in the Capital who have kept their family trees. The Yun Family has grown so big, but their power and influence basically came from after they went abroad. That itself proves they don’t have that much influence in the Capital.”

”And the forgery techniques that the descendants inherited also have an origin.”

This kind of skill could only be passed down through family inheritance. Otherwise, some people might never even know about these things in their entire lives, let alone actively seek out such methods or channels in that era.

The video analysis blogger in front of them was also talking about this point.

”Here’s a detail: before the noble appeared, there was an emerald gem on his finger. This is actually alluding to his identity and the wealth he carried with him during his escape.”

”Then in the second half of the video, when the ’protagonist’ of the animated short officially set foot on foreign soil, a green gem also appeared on his hand. And the people around him treated him with great respect, completely unlike how they would treat a servant or someone without status.”

”So, it wasn’t that they went overseas and built up their fortune through their own skills, starting from scratch! It was that they directly took the master’s belongings for themselves and made them their own!”

”As for the later parts showing ’crafting handicrafts’ and ’realizing the value of their skills,’ I personally combined this with some information I’ve gathered, and I think I’ve guessed the truth—”

The blogger paused the frame where the protagonist was receiving money, then zoomed in repeatedly.

In this frame, the protagonist was talking with a few wealthy foreigners, and behind them was a workshop.

In a very corner position, a young craftsman raised a small hammer in his hand, working diligently. But the object he was hammering wasn’t just anything—it was a dusty-looking antique vase.

The vase shattered with a sound. Then he carefully picked out the parts he needed, and finally threw all the remaining fragments into the trash bin.

”Many people might see this scene and still not understand what they’re doing. So, I need to mention a forgery technique in the antique world—that’s ’Old Materials, New Craftsmanship’ and ’Imitating the Old with the Old’! This is not about perfecting art; it’s desecration!”

It was obvious that the blogger had indeed done a lot of research in advance. He went straight to the point and began to explain the forgery technique of ”Imitating the Old with the Old” at length. The viewers listened with great interest, their eyes opened wide.

The bullet comments were already a mess of scolding, filled with contempt for such forgery methods. Some people had even extended this topic to the now-hot incident of Emperor Chen’s authentic script being burned. Viewers who had previously taken a neutral stance began to suspect the truth behind the destruction of the cultural relic.

How could it be such a coincidence?

The Yun Family knew forgery, and Emperor Chen’s authentic script, which hadn’t returned to the country for many years, was burned as soon as it came back?

This was so coincidental it felt like an intentional setup!

Of course, the blogger didn’t dare to directly state the deeper implications of this video. But he couldn’t miss out on such important information either. So, his words were very subtle, hinting just enough without being too explicit.
