Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 774: A Mighty Dragon Doesnʼt Bow to a Local Snake? A Mighty Dragon Is a Mighty Dragon Everywhere!

”Whatʼs going on?”

Just then, Director Zhuang Hongyi also arrived.

Taking in the chaotic scene before him, he frowned. The people around him automatically cleared a path for him.

”Director Zhuang, youʼre finally here!”

Seeing Director Zhuang, Wang Sheng acted like heʼd spotted a merciful official from heaven and quickly rushed over to tattle.

When the manager saw Director Zhuang approaching, though heʼd never met the man in person before and only knew a little about him, he hurried over as well, trying to squeeze in his own excuses.

But Director Zhuang wasnʼt Wang Sheng. He had the capital and confidence to be arrogant. He simply raised a hand and cut off whatever the manager was about to say: ”No need to discuss this with me. We donʼt bully the workers. Since this was arranged by your bosses, Iʼll make a call right now and ask whose face is so damn big that even I get no respect.”

With that, he pulled out his phone to make a call while simultaneously looking at Wang Sheng and barking orders: ”Cancel all the rooms at this hotel. Arrange a new one. Since theyʼre this untrustworthy, I donʼt dare stay here anyway. Iʼd hate to wake up one morning worrying about being kicked out of my room for some other guest.”

”H-hey, Mr. Zhuang—”

The manager tried to stop him, but it was pointless. Wang Sheng, already steaming with pent-up anger, didnʼt hesitate for a second and immediately started coordinating: ”Good! Everyone, back to the vehicles.”
He called over a few production staff members and told them to round up the people whoʼd already taken their luggage upstairs to check in. Everyone needed to come back down. They were leaving. Now.

”Xiao Chen, letʼs go.”

Seeing this, Xiao He didnʼt have the mood to cause more trouble either. He didnʼt want to be accused of being a big star who just couldnʼt let things go, bullying hotel staff.

”Got it!”

Xiao Chen quickly grabbed Old Qi, and they retrieved their own luggage from the baggage cart.

Truth be told, everyone had already been through a rough journey. After waiting this long, having to relocate now was frustrating. But since Director Zhuang had given the order and Xiao He was complying without hesitation, no one dared to complain. They all started packing up to leave.

Right at that moment, someone came rushing out from the hotelʼs elevator entrance.

It was a somewhat rotund man, moving so fast he looked like a ball rolling. Before anyone could even track his legs moving, heʼd already rolled right up to them and blocked Director Zhuangʼs path, a helpless look plastered across his face. ”Director Zhuang! Oh, Director Zhuang! Can you believe my terrible memory? How could I have forgotten you were coming today? Please donʼt be mad! We can get your remaining rooms sorted out immediately. Theyʼll be even better than the ones you originally booked!”

”Oh? Now you suddenly have rooms? Are you going to kick someone else out for me? Iʼm afraid I canʼt accept such a privilege. I wouldnʼt want to offend anyone.”

Director Zhuang hung up his phone and looked at the man with a sardonic half-smile.

”Come on now! Of course we always have rooms for you! Itʼs all my subordinateʼs fault—heʼs new, doesnʼt know the ropes, made a system error...”

”Hey, donʼt pin it on the little guys. When it comes to assigning rooms, they wouldnʼt dare make that call themselves. That kind of decision requires a word from you. And yet in the end, theyʼre the ones left to apologize and clean up your mess. Thatʼs some boss you are—not a shred of accountability, huh?”

Director Zhuang had already seen through their habit of shifting blame. He wasnʼt about to waste time playing verbal ping-pong, so he got straight to the point: ”Alright, thatʼs enough. We have work to do. Weʼre not here to pick a fight. Just process our checkout. Itʼs best for everyone. Weʼre on a tight schedule.”

”Fine, fine.”

The hotel owner knew heʼd already burned this bridge. His face flushed with embarrassment, the smile fading. He turned to the manager and ordered, ”Get their paperwork done immediately.”

Then he muttered a few more instructions to the manager, who nodded and began speaking in English, directing the surrounding security personnel to help with the luggage.

On the surface, they were offering to help transport the production teamʼs bags. In reality, they were covertly herding the rest of the crew out of the lobby.

And thanks to the managerʼs instructions, the security guards, who had been perfectly cordial before, suddenly transformed into lofty ”foreign language speakers.” Chattering in a language most people couldnʼt understand, they briskly carried the piles of stuff on the floor outside.

Well. The hotel staffʼs shameless, two-faced attitude from top to bottom was truly a spectacle to behold.

Watching this unfold, Xiao He could only think one thing: ”Respect.”

So this was the style of an international chain hotel?

Very impressive.

And the funny thing was, even their major production crew from the mainland was treated like this. What would happen to an ordinary person facing the same situation?

Theyʼd probably have no choice but to swallow the bitter pill.

Xiao He sneered inwardly. When he noticed someone trying to come over and grab their luggage, he shot them a glare sharp as a blade.

The security guards froze on the spot, pinned in place by his look.

”Letʼs go.”

Xiao He turned and led his group away. Liu Rulan, walking behind him, let out a mocking laugh and flipped her hair over her shoulder. ”This hotel wasnʼt like this before. I remember when we brought Shu Han here a few years ago, there was none of this nonsense.”

Last time, everything was fine.

But this time, the entire atmosphere felt off. Uncomfortable.

Now that Liu Rulan thought about it, she realized it was the attitude of the front desk and the receptionists.

They were all smiles and warmth to anyone speaking English or Cantonese. But to those of them speaking Mandarin? Their attitude was dismissive, almost perfunctory.

These details had slipped past her before. But thinking about it now, the implication left a bitter taste.

Extremely infuriating.

”Iʼve always believed that the attitude and overall demeanor of a hotelʼs staff is a direct reflection of the attitude and thinking of its upper management,” Xiao He said. ”This hotelʼs management is clearly leaning the wrong way. The fish rots from the head down.”

The front desk is the face of the hotel, along with the door greeters. Theyʼre the ones constantly interacting with guests.

If even Xiao He had noticed their attitude, what about the other guests checking in?

Some of those guests must have hot tempers or impatient personalities. They would have definitely complained and filed reports.

And yet, the front desk and receptionists kept acting exactly the same way, didnʼt they?

That was entirely due to the inaction of upper management. Even when faced with complaints, they didnʼt bother to discipline their staff or make them correct their attitude. If they eventually ran into someone tough, they had no one to blame but themselves.

”Still, itʼs pretty funny that they actually tried to treat Director Zhuang like a pushover.”

At that, Xiao He and Liu Rulan exchanged a glance, then both broke into the same speechless expression.

A mighty dragon doesnʼt bow to a local snake?

No, no, no. Director Zhuang would tell you: a mighty dragon is a mighty dragon everywhere.
