Chapter 306: horrible core processor
Chapter 306 The Horrible Core Processor

The surface of the processor is laser-marked, and the English words ”Core Processor” are written in the logo.

”Our Core processor is a 14nm processor, the most advanced processor in the world, using the world’s strongest Skylake microprocessor architecture!”

Following Paul Olds’ words, the content on the projection screen behind Paul Olds changed instantly.

At this time, it is the picture of three processors, the three processors are i7, i5, i3!

”Because the performance of our Core processor is very powerful, we have divided it into three levels. They are i7, i5, and i3, and the Core i7 is the strongest!”

Speaking of Paul Olds, a mysterious smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.

Among these three processors, they are actually one processor in essence.

But there are some differences because the processor always has some accidental damage or flaws during the production process, which makes some internal computing units unable to run.

But among a large number of damaged chips, there must be some processors that can still be used after repair, plus Intel’s special design.

Damage of a computing unit in the Core processor does not affect the normal operation of other computing units.

So Intel will perform software or physical shielding on one or more computing units.

Sold the defective product as a genuine product!

As for what the genuine product is, it is undoubtedly the i7 processor!

Thinking of Paul Olds here, a smug smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, proud of Intel’s wise strategy.

At this time, tens of thousands of kilometers away on the Daxia Internet, countless netizens are also paying attention to this live broadcast from time to time.

”I don’t know how powerful the performance is?!”

”Curious.”

”However, no matter what the performance is, it is a 14nm process technology. I feel that I have to buy it no matter what!”

Among the audience discussions in Daxia, Island Country, Han Country, Europa and their Medi Country, etc. on the Internet and even in front of the TV, Paul Olds didn’t waste everyone’s time.

I saw him waving his hand lightly, and the projection screen behind him changed instantly. It was the performance parameter of a Core processor i7.

Core i7-170

Reference frequency: 3.30GHz

Core frequency: 4.1GHz

L3 cache: 6MB

Power Consumption: 65W

Graphics core: Iris 670…

”Oh my God!”

”Oh Mai Ga!”

”Is this true?!”

Nearly 3,000 foreigners at the press conference could not restrain their exclamations. In response, the corners of Paul Olds’s mouth evoked a smug smile.

This Core processor is Intel’s strongest product at present, because it adopts 14nm, and the turbo frequency directly breaks through the threshold of 4G frequency!

You should know that the strongest single-core processor released by Intel this year is priced at US$851. The highest frequency of the Intel Pentium 4670 (Pentium 4670) processor with 169 million transistors can only reach 3.8G.

Before the Core processor, Intel and even the world did not have any processor whose frequency broke through the big bottleneck of 4G.

After all, the manufacturing process is limited, and the heat dissipation technology can’t meet the requirements. If you continue to increase the frequency, the CPU will be damaged!

There was a smug smile on the corner of his mouth, Paul Odess smiled and said:

”Creating the world’s first processor to break through the 4G frequency is just a small breakthrough for us at Intel.

The power of our Intel processor is not in the frequency, but in our horrible performance. ”

When Paul Olds finished speaking, the projection screen behind him changed instantly, and turned into a performance parameter test result.

The test software for this performance parameter is the test result given by a software called CPU-Z.

2100 points!

”Ou Maiga, unexpectedly reached a terrifying high score of 2100!”

”This is amazing!”

The scene of the press conference once again sounded the exclamation of foreigners.

The people in Daxia are in mixed feelings about this, because Intel’s processor is so powerful, and the running score of CPU-Z has reached a terrifying 2100 points!

The performance of the Core processor is so terrifying, which makes it even more difficult for their domestic CPU to surpass Intel.

I’m afraid that Intel will continue to dominate the global CPU market in the future, and Hantang Technology’s challenge will fail!

Thinking of this cruel reality, the countless people of Great Xia on the other side of the sea felt very complicated.

Although they couldn’t refuse Intel’s processor, they finally chose to buy Intel’s processor.

But this does not mean that they are not patriotic, or that they do not want to support domestic CPUs, they just choose their own interests in the face of the pressure of reality.

After all, the common people don’t have much money now, and everyone wants to choose a better product. If the performance gap is not too big, it’s fine, and we must support domestic production.

But if the performance is too different, then they can only vote with their feet.

”Only 2100 points?”

However, amidst the exclamation of the crowd, in the Hantang Science and Technology Headquarters at this time, Lin Xuan said something that surprised people all over the world.

”There is no 14nm process technology, but the performance can’t even beat the 22nm i7-4790K.”

Lin Xuan shook his head, and told the truth in his heart that this processor was compared with the processors of later generations.

The CPU-Z running score of the later 4th generation Intel Core processor i7-4790K can reach 2200 to 2210 points.

If overclocking is performed, the running score can be slightly higher.

So the Core processor released this time can’t actually beat the later 22nm i7-4790K!

But think of it as the first time they use 14nm R&D CPU.

It is normal that they are not familiar with the 14nm process technology. It is really abnormal to want to squeeze out a normal i7-6700K CPU at once.

Even if they all use the 14nm process technology, didn’t later Intel launch many generations of chip processors with 14nm?

In the previous life, the same 14nm process technology was used. Every time Intel launches a new generation of processors, it can squeeze out more than ten percent of the performance, so the different architectures really affect the performance of the processors.

However, when Lin Xuan shook his head slightly, Paul Odess from Meidiguo smiled triumphantly and said:

”As you can see, our processors have the most terrifying performance in the world, but our Core processors are not just powerful processors.

This time our Core processor has an extra partner, which we call the graphics display core, core display! ”

”Nuclear display?!”

At this time, N Card, Lao Huang from Invida, and Hector, the president of A.M.D, who also came to the press conference, suddenly changed their expressions.

Intel actually launched the world’s first CPU with a graphics card core, which will definitely cause severe turbulence to the global CPU and even the graphics card market!

Among them, Hector, the president of A.M.D, changed his face because Intel took the lead in allowing the processor to directly integrate the core display, and completed his layout ahead of schedule.
