Becoming Their Guiding Spirit

# Chapter 187: Let’s Make a Movie Together! ”I think... uh... this role, might not be suitable for me... Miss Nian.”

Nian was simply too enthusiastic. She pulled a thick script out of nowhere and placed it on the table.

Jessica was a bit awkward, trying her best to make her expression look friendly as she politely declined Nian’s invitation.

”Really!! You’re really suitable!!”

Nian patted her chest.

”Don’t doubt the eye of a god. I’m a very good judge of character!”

Beside them, Franka and Liskarm both silently nodded in agreement. Nian’s judgment was indeed sharp.

However.

While Jessica wasn’t interested, Franka certainly was.

In fact, despite having tried acting and even studying at the Columbia Film Academy, which had produced countless movie stars, Franka seemed to lack a talent for acting. Many directors simply wouldn’t cast her, which left Franka very discouraged. But, deep down, she still had a dream of being on the big screen, even if it was for no pay.

And this person.

Miss Nian.

Her business card did say she was a famous director in Lungmen and Yan. Plus, Miss Nian herself was a god. A god must be stronger than humans in every aspect, so her filmmaking skills shouldn’t be too bad. It’s not like she could possibly make a movie, throw it online, and get the lowest possible score of 2.0, right? Even if it was a 2.0 trash film, Franka would accept it. She just wanted to fulfill her lifelong dream of being on the big screen. It couldn’t possibly be lower than 2.0, right? Heh, never heard of such a thing.

After thinking it over, Franka decided to volunteer herself.

”Um... Miss Nian, are you still looking for actors?”

Nian turned her head, a glimmer of hope in her eyes.

”Yes! Yes! I’m desperate for them!”

She even let her dialect slip out.

”Can I? I’ve taken acting classes at the Columbia Film Academy before. And I used to be a mercenary for Blacksteel Worldwide, an Elite Operator even. I’m quite good at fight scenes. If it’s possible, I could give it a try....”

*Sparkle~

Nian’s eyes lit up in an instant, and the stars within them shone brightly.

”Are you for real! Miss Fra... Fra... Franka!”

”Of course.”

Franka nodded.

Nian was incredibly moved at this moment.

In all the time she had been making movies, Franka was the first person to voluntarily approach her and ask to be an actor.

So touching!

As expected!!

Lucas Reeve’s friends were all good people too.

In order not to disappoint Franka’s expectations of her, Nian decided to revise the script again.

”No problem! It’s settled!”

”Me, me, me!!”

Just then, Exusiai, who had been sitting on another sofa watching the show, suddenly raised her hand excitedly.

”I want to act too, Miss Nian. Do you have any roles left??”

Croissant thought for a moment. If she acted in a movie, became famous, and became a renowned movie star, wouldn’t she be like many of the celebrities in Lungmen, earning hundreds of thousands or even millions for a single appearance? Holy cow, she’d be rolling in money!!

At this thought.

A smile appeared on Croissant’s cute face, and she raised her hand too.

”Me, me, me, Miss Nian, I want to act too. I’m not asking for a leading role, just a character with a decent amount of screen time will do.”

Exusiai immediately grabbed Texas’s hand.

”And Tex, too! We’re a unit at Penguin Logistics, we can’t be separated!!”

”Boring...”

Texas snatched her hand away from Exusiai’s, sitting on the sofa like a boss with a Pocky stick dangling from her mouth. However, she didn’t refuse.

She had her own plans.

This person was a god.

If she could build a good relationship with her through acting, it would definitely be very beneficial. To be honest, as a swordswoman, Texas was drooling over that divine sword. It could split the earth with a casual swing. Wasn’t that way better than her Originium laser sword?

As for Sora, she was torn.

Actually, she quite wanted to act too. After all, she was already an idol. In Higashi and Lungmen, many famous idols eventually went down the path of acting to appear in the public eye. But... such a big decision definitely needed her manager’s approval.

However.

Seeing her companions choose to take part, Sora decided to be willful for once and raised her hand to sign up. She believed that if her manager were here, he would definitely agree. After all, recently, her manager had been trying to find ways to push her into the film industry. However, the barrier to entry was too high, and it was full of big shots. Although Sora was an idol, she was only modestly famous. In the film industry, she was even less known than some acting students from prestigious schools, so it was very difficult. Since she had this rare opportunity, Sora wanted to seize it.

After all.

The other party was a god. How could a movie made by a god be bad? And with the resources from Jessica’s family, with so many buffs stacked together, it would be hard for it not to become a blockbuster.

Finally, the pressure was on Jessica and Liskarm.

Under Franka’s persistent coaxing, they also agreed, deciding to take on small cameo roles. Seeing that everyone had agreed, Jessica, no matter how unwilling she was in her heart, could only nod in agreement.

At this moment.

Nian was too excited to speak.

So touched!

Incredibly touched!

So many people wanted to be in her movie of their own accord!!

Boo hoo hoo!!

This feeling!!

This was the first time!!

Nian also silently decided in her heart that after the movie was finished, she would definitely give each of them something good as a reward!

Just as everyone was about to discuss the script.

The office door opened.

Surtr, who had just run off, had returned.

She wasn’t embarrassed, still wearing that same cold face. She slightly lifted her pale chin, snorted, and sat back down in her original spot.

Jessica also wondered how she should greet her.

”Um... Miss Surtr, would you like to have dinner with us tonight?”

Surtr proudly didn’t speak, just nodded with an almost imperceptible movement.

”Then what does Miss Surtr like to eat?”

”Ice cream....”

”?”

Jessica was stunned. She glanced at the howling north wind outside.

Eating ice cream in this weather?

”Oh right, Mr. Reeve, we’ve decided to act in Miss Nian’s movie together. Are you in? Is Miss Surtr in too?”

Jessica directly changed the subject.

”???”

Lucas Reeve froze on the spot.

What?

A movie?

What movie?

What happened while I was gone?

Before Lucas Reeve could speak, Nian jumped in and answered for him.

”Mr. Reeve and Miss Surtr already agreed back in Lungmen. Besides, the original leads for this script were chosen to be Surtr and Lucas Reeve.”

Jessica’s face lit up: ”Is that so? That’s great.”

Only Lucas Reeve was completely bewildered.

Hey, hey, hey! When did I agree to that??

Since it was still a while before dinner, Nian prepared to go with Lucas Reeve to see the things he had forged. Meanwhile, Jessica immediately contacted the chairman of the Columbia Pictures Group, a big shot known as the King of Columbia Cinema, through her father’s secretary, Uncle Jones.

Countless top directors, award-winning stars, and movie company chairmen revered him as a god. However, when he received the call from Raythean Industries, he immediately nodded in agreement and arranged for the best screenwriters and film production team to head to Raythean Medica the next day.

Although Jessica really wanted to accompany Lucas Reeve to the warehouse.

She still had guests from Penguin Logistics here.

As the host, Jessica naturally had to entertain the guests who had come all the way from Lungmen, so she took them on a tour of Raythean Medica as well.

That warehouse was for Lucas Reeve’s exclusive use.

Jessica had designated it as an absolute restricted area in Raythean Medica. Even routine maintenance and cleaning staff were not allowed in. Only she, or the High Priest and Zumama, could go.

Pushing open the warehouse door that hadn’t been opened in a month.

Lucas Reeve, Surtr, and Nian slowly walked in.

Nian looked left and right.

Suddenly, her nose twitched. The corners of her mouth curled up slightly, revealing an excited smile.

”I smell a brand new metal. Where? Where is it? Lucas Reeve, let me see your masterpiece quickly.”

Originally, Nian had thought that Lucas Reeve was just forging for fun as a hobby.

She hadn’t expected.

After smelling this unfamiliar metallic scent.

Nian realized that Lucas Reeve was truly skilled.

”Here.”

Lucas Reeve led Nian to a corner, pushed open a door, and in this specially made room were all sorts of precious metals.

Nian glanced over them, her eyes passing over the externally priceless D32 Steel without pausing, finally settling on the Nirvana Metal and D35 Alloy in the center.

Nian picked one up with her hand.

She weighed it in her hand, then sniffed it, letting out a sigh of admiration.

”A good metal, but it’s still missing something.”

Nian hadn’t expected Lucas Reeve’s forging skills to be so high. Although she could forge metals of this level herself, and even better ones, she was the one who presided over the rules of forging. For an outsider god to be able to forge a metal of this quality could already be described with the word ’impressive’.

After looking at the metals.

Lucas Reeve then showed Nian some of the small tools and gadgets he had made, and then he showed her the Titan.

The appearance of the Titan also filled Nian with interest.

Nian was similar to Lucas Reeve.

She was skilled in smelting metals or traditional forging. However, with the passage of time, many mechanical creations had long since departed from traditional forging methods. These were things Nian herself didn’t really understand. So, the moment she saw the Titan, she was filled with curiosity, tapping it up and down, full of enthusiasm.

”A fine creation. My dream was once to forge an entire Mobile City into a giant mecha, but I was interrupted by those annoying Celestial Masters before I could even start.”

Nian said something horrifying with a straight face.

”However, I like this small-scale mecha of yours too.”

Nian asked Lucas Reeve for the Titan’s blueprints. Lucas Reeve explained the design theory and steps completely, and Nian fully utilized her talent as a god who mastered the ’forging’ rule. Knowledge she had never encountered before, she understood completely after hearing it once, and could even offer some suggestions for modifications.

And while Nian and Lucas Reeve were engrossed in their discussion.

Surtr was already getting sleepy, because she couldn’t understand any of this stuff. It felt like listening to a foreign language.

The discussion lasted from the morning until dinnertime. It wasn’t until Jessica and her group came to the warehouse to call the three of them for dinner that they realized so much time had passed.

As expected of a god...

Her talent was truly beyond human comparison.

Things that humans might take a very long time to learn, Nian grasped in a single afternoon. Of course, movies were an exception. After all, forging was Nian’s strong suit, so it was normal for her to learn quickly. She even offered many suggestions for modifications after learning. However, the main functions of Lucas Reeve’s Titan were already complete and didn’t need many other upgrades. If he really wanted to upgrade it, he could only replace the outer armor with something stronger.

Since there were quite a few people.

Dinner was held directly at Jessica’s house.

They even used the huge dining table in Jessica’s villa that had never been used before.

And many from Penguin Logistics marveled at Jessica’s extravagance.

As expected of the heiress of Raythean Industries...

This level of extravagance was just too...

The most shocked was Sora. As an idol, she had naturally met some well-known big shots in the industry under her manager’s guidance, but... compared to Jessica, these big shots were just like ordinary people, no different. It could only be said that they were on different levels.

Perhaps these people belonged to the ceiling, but Jessica was the one who broke through the ceiling to stand on the roof.

There were quite a few people eating together.

Besides the four from Penguin Logistics, there were also Ifrit, Silence, Ptilopsis, and Ceobe.

Zumama and the High Priest didn’t come.

Zumama was at school, and the High Priest was nowhere to be found.

And to cater to everyone’s tastes.

Jessica specially prepared an extra-spicy hotpot for Nian, and an ice cream hotpot for Surtr....

And when Jessica told Nian that she had already contacted the person in charge over there and a special team would be coming over tomorrow, Nian was so happy that she even proactively toasted Jessica with a glass of wine to express her gratitude.

Nian understood that they were probably preparing to start coordinating with the team and begin filming scenes for those who were available.

As for Lucas Reeve, he was preparing to search for the fragments of the Ancient God of Flame with Surtr.
