Shocking! The Fake Young Master Has Been Won Over by the Real Young Master!

137: I’ve forgotten how to name my child again.”I didn’t bring him to that gathering?” Yan Zhuohua gave Yan Qinghe a teasing look. ”Alright, I’m driving right now, I’ll hang up first. We’ll talk about the details later on wechat.”

”You’ve gone out with Wen Hengtang several times and never brought me along.” After hanging up and putting the phone away, Yan Qinghe pointed out Yan Zhuohua’s words with dissatisfaction.

”Weren’t those special circumstances?” Yan Zhuohua explained to him patiently. ”You weren’t around the first two times, and later on, I discovered his identity, so I purposely went to the meeting alone.”

”He is special, but you haven’t taken me to meet your teammates either, have you?”

Is he never going to let this go? Yan Zhuohua sighed helplessly.

”You were away for five years, and your only friends are those teammates and that Wen Hengtang guy, yet I haven’t met a single one of them,” Yan Qinghe said, quite displeased. ”You owe me an explanation.”

...How about this: for this year’s World Championship, I’ll take you to watch their matches and we’ll have dinner together, okay?” Turning into the parking lot, Yan Zhuohua parked the car and turned off the engine. ”They must be busy preparing for the competition and training lately; it wouldn’t be right for me to call them out and disturb them.”

After saying that, Yan Zhuohua leaned over and gave him a reassuring kiss. Caught off guard by the kiss, Yan Qinghe’s expression gradually shifted from surprise to delight. The smile and light in his eyes soon became impossible to hide, overflowing completely.

”Stop smiling,” Yan Zhuohua said, unable to help laughing as he looked at him. ”You’re smiling like a little idiot.”

”Then you’re the idiot’s wife.”

The idiot and his wife entered the elevator playfully, and it was only then that Special Assistant Xiao and Special Assistant Ji, who were passing by, crept over.

”The boss and the boss’s wife are busy being in love every day. Does our company still have a future?”

Special Assistant Ji pushed up his glasses elegantly. ”That depends on you, Xiao Xiao. Didn’t you say last time you wanted to be some ’Famous Minister Saving the World’?”

Special Assistant Xiao suddenly realized—that’s right! With a loyal minister like me around, how could I let the boss not work hard?

”Thanks for the reminder, brother! It’s like a thunderclap to my ears, a true enlightenment. Starting today, I voluntarily apply to be transferred back to Chairman Yan’s side to urge him to forge ahead!” With that, Xiao Xiao strode toward the elevator with high spirits.

”Hey! No, I meant for you to...” Ji Yang never expected their understanding to diverge so much. He didn’t react in time and could only watch as Special Assistant Xiao walked away from him with an uplifted air. ”I meant for you to share more of the boss’s workload...”

I’m doomed. Maybe I should run away first. If the boss finds out I ignited Special Assistant Xiao’s passion and made him decide to pester the boss, I’m afraid I’ll be sacrificed to the flag.

But the bonuses at Xingfeng Group are so good! Ji Yang paced around a few times before resolutely entering the elevator to ”face death calmly.”

Yan Qinghe was truly very happy right now. He felt that no matter what bizarre things his subordinates did today, it would be impossible to make him angry.

”...So that’s how it is.” Ji Yang tremblingly placed the transfer application signed with Xiao Xiao’s big name on Yan Qinghe’s desk.

Yan Qinghe asked very sincerely, ”Ji Yang, did I do something wrong to you?” Is that why you gave me such a big surprise first thing in the morning, letting me experience what it means for extreme joy to turn into sorrow?

”I’m sorry, boss! I didn’t expect Special Assistant Xiao to misunderstand my meaning either...” That Xiao Xiao really had fast execution; he’d only been at work for a few minutes and already submitted the transfer application.

Yan Qinghe looked at the application with a tremor, unable to make a decision for a long time. Who would dare sign this? Isn’t this just like those ’Voluntary Evening Self-Study Applications’ students sign?

”Go tell him, tell him—” Yan Qinghe stuttered for a while before finally slapping the table. ”No matter what you say, get rid of this idea of his, or I’ll dock your bonus!!”

Ji Yang was kicked out of the Chairmans Office holding that piece of paper.

Xiao Xiao, you’ve really made things hard for your brother!

The miserable Special Assistant Ji had nowhere to turn for help until he finally had a sudden brainwave and went to see Yan Zhuohua.

After hearing the whole story, Yan Zhuohua laughed so hard he almost strained his aching waist.

”...Director Yan, you have to save me and Chairman Yan!” Ji Yang waited with a bitter face for Yan Zhuohua to finish laughing before pleading for help in utter despair.

”How can I save you? I think this is quite good; you guys should just agree to Special Assistant Xiao’s request.” Ideally, let Yan Qinghe work overtime until midnight every day so he doesn’t have time to mess with me.

Uh, is your relationship as a couple that flimsy? Ji Yang recalled the scene he saw this morning and thought it shouldn’t be.

”How is it good? When the time comes and Chairman Yan is so busy he can’t come home every day, won’t your heart ache?” Won’t you feel bad about being alone in your room?

”My heart does ache,” Yan Zhuohua said righteously. ”But for the sake of social and economic development, I can still make this little sacrifice.” It’s good if he doesn’t come back; I’ll be so much more free!

What a cruel boss’s wife! Ji Yang grumbled inwardly, then his mind whirled through many thoughts.

”Alright then, I’ll go back and tell Chairman Yan what you mean.” After saying that, he turned as if to leave.

”Wait!” Yan Zhuohua hastily stopped him. No kidding, how could he let Yan Qinghe know about those words just now?

”What’s wrong, Director Yan? Do you have any other instructions?” Ji Yang put on the act of an innocent little flower.

”...I thought about it again, and this matter is indeed not quite right.” Yan Zhuohua inwardly cursed that not a single person around Yan Qinghe was any good. ”If the boss works overtime every day, it will surely make things difficult for the employees below and easily start a trend of overtime, which doesn’t align with our values.”

Ji Yang was instantly enlightened. ”Wow, Director Yan, you’re right!”

He’s such a good actor. I finally understand why Yan Qinghe has become so thick-skinned now; it must be a subtle influence.

”How about this: isn’t Special Assistant Xiao afraid that we’ll forget our careers because we’re too busy being in love? Just tell him I’m overwhelmed and ask him to come work as my part-time assistant for a while. Salary will be separate.” With his original work plus a bit more from me, he should be kept running in circles.

”The Director is indeed wise and just!”

The wise and just Yan Zhuohua politely showed him out of the office.

In fact, Yan Zhuohua having Xiao Xiao work as his part-time assistant wasn’t purely to save Yan Qinghe this once. From chatting with his mother last time, he learned that progress at the Research Institute was going quite smoothly, and the first batch of production was expected to start next month. Besides that, Yan Zhuohua’s Graduation Defense was only a month away, and he had to find time to go to the school. There were a bunch of other messy things all piled up in June and July; if he didn’t find someone to share the load, he was afraid he’d work himself to death.

And, in a little over a hundred days, it would be their Wedding Anniversary.

For the previous two birthday and Valentine’s Day gifts, Yan Qinghe had taken the initiative for various reasons. This time, he was preparing more than a hundred days in advance, and he refused to believe he couldn’t come up with a satisfying gift.

But how could he carry this out under Yan Qinghe’s nose without being discovered? Yan Zhuohua pondered for a moment and remembered the gathering tomorrow night.

Although the gift Sheng Xufeng helped him prepare last time had caused him a lot of suffering, this person was still very commendable when it came to money and keeping his mouth shut.

Yan Zhuohua made up his mind and simply called Sheng Xufeng.
