Shocking! The Fake Young Master Has Been Won Over by the Real Young Master!

129: VisitingOn the weekend, Yan Zhuohua and Yan Qinghe went to visit the Sheng Family together.

”Hey, it’s been a long time since you two last came to visit!” Sheng Xulin and Sheng Xufeng greeted them together at the door.

”Isn’t it because you didn’t invite us?” Yan Qinghe teased, ”We’re not the type to show up uninvited.”

”What ’uninvited’? Zhuohua is my brother, of course he can come whenever he wants!” Sheng Xufeng chimed in from the side, ”As for you...”

Sheng Xulin shot him a warning look.

Sheng Xufeng wisely smiled, ”You’re my brother’s good friend, and also the family of my good brother, so you get the same treatment as Zhuohua.”

Sheng Xulin helplessly rubbed his forehead and gave Sheng Xufeng a kick on the backside.

”Ow—” Sheng Xufeng nearly jumped up, ”Bro, why did you kick me? I didn’t say anything wrong!”

Sheng Xulin felt even more embarrassed. He kicked his still-hopping brother inside the door, ”My brother’s brain isn’t working right, don’t mind him. Let’s hurry inside, my mom is probably waiting impatiently.”

Yan Zhuohua stifled a laugh and pulled along the speechless Yan Qinghe as they followed into the living room.

”How on earth did Sheng Xufeng pass the family’s final test?” Yan Qinghe questioned his life choices.

”He failed twice, then came to me for help predicting the questions before the third attempt.” Yan Zhuohua’s eyes were full of innocence.

Yan Qinghe took a deep breath, ”That might have been the smartest move he’s ever made!”

Yan Zhuohua laughed soundlessly.

When they entered, Zhang Shibì, the mother of the Sheng brothers, was already waiting on the sofa.

”Finally, you’re in. I could hear Xu Feng making a ruckus again from inside. What foolish thing did he do this time?” Zhang Shibì walked up to greet them, joking.

”Wait, what foolish thing did I do?” Sheng Xufeng protested, ”And what’s with the ’again’?”

”Just shut up!” Zhang Shibì slapped Sheng Xufeng on the back, ”Go quickly and bring out all the pastries I made in the kitchen.”

”Fine, always ordering me around!” Sheng Xufeng pouted unhappily, then his eyes lit up. He grabbed Yan Zhuohua and ran towards the kitchen, ”You come with me!”

”Hey...” Before Yan Zhuohua could react, he was dragged away.

”Hey! Why are you pulling Zhuohua?” Zhang Shibì stood up immediately, unable to stop the two who had vanished in a flash. She stamped her foot anxiously, ”Who makes guests do work?”

”It’s fine, it’s fine. Last time I visited, didn’t Aunt Zhang say both Zhuohua and I were considered family?” Yan Qinghe quickly smoothed things over, ”What’s wrong with family doing a little work?”

”Exactly, Mom, just let him be.” Sheng Xulin also chimed in, ”They probably have some private talk!”

”Really, no sense of propriety...” Zhang Shibì scolded again before sitting back on the sofa, ”Forget it, let’s ignore them. We’ll chat first.”

Only when the faint sound of conversation drifted from the distant living room did Sheng Xufeng sigh in relief and pat his chest, finally turning his attention to Yan Zhuohua whom he had dragged over.

”Didn’t I only invite you? Why did Yan the Fourth come too?” Sheng Xufeng pulled Yan Zhuohua aside, ”Are you two really that inseparable?”

Yan Zhuohua looked at him meaningfully, ”Better get used to it early. Wherever I go, he’ll be there.”

”That much possessiveness?” Sheng Xufeng was like a cat whose curiosity was piqued, ”I heard he confiscated your card?”

”How do you know that? Who told you?” Yan Zhuohua’s eyes widened.

”My brother! Just three or four days ago, he had some business at your company to discuss with Yan the Fourth. They chatted a bit during downtime.” Sheng Xufeng spoke animatedly, ”Then Yan the Fourth bragged to my brother about how obedient you are, how much you love him, and even gave my brother tips on ’training a wife,’ saying he should learn early because he’d definitely need it in the future.”

Yan Zhuohua’s face was full of disbelief. His mouth opened and closed, but no words came out for a long moment.

”Hey, why are you spacing out?” Sheng Xufeng, tired of waiting for a reply, pushed Yan Zhuohua impatiently, ”Have you really been suppressed by him like this?”

”I, uh, it’s... it’s just a game! Just a couple’s game.” Yan Zhuohua laughed awkwardly.

”I might be unreliable, but I won’t be fooled that easily.” Sheng Xufeng looked at him mockingly, ”Just admit you’re a Henpecked Husband. I won’t laugh at you.”

”I’m so grateful.” The voice was clearly gritted teeth.

”No need, no need!” Sheng Xufeng waved his hand, ”But seeing you like this just confirms it for me. I must never get married! The slightest slip and you’re completely controlled by one person, with no freedom at all. Even ancient imperial consorts and empresses had it better!”

”...You’re right.” Yan Zhuohua struggled to change the subject, ”Didn’t you want me to help persuade Aunt Zhang? Let’s go out quickly!”

”Don’t rush, we haven’t finished talking! Let me tell you, a few days ago I met another pretty...”

”Sheng Xufeng!” A loud voice approached from afar, ”Did you have to bake the pastries from scratch in the kitchen?”

Hearing the voice, Sheng Xufeng immediately sprang up, frantically grabbing the pastries and stuffing a plate into Yan Zhuohua’s hands.

Zhang Shibì had already stepped into the kitchen.

”Mom, the pastries are a bit hot, letting them cool!”

”I turned off the stove half an hour ago.”

”...Zhuohua likes them cold.”

”Are you planning to wait for them to freeze to sub-zero temperatures here?” Zhang Shibì was already done with this fool. She turned to Yan Zhuohua with a beaming smile, ”Ignore that idiot. Let’s go out quickly. Your husband is getting anxious waiting, glancing towards the kitchen every now and then.”

Yan Zhuohua gave a dry laugh.

Zhang Shibì finally led the two of them and several plates of pastries back to the living room. Under her smiling gaze, Yan Zhuohua forced a smile and returned to Yan Qinghe’s side.

As soon as he sat down, he pinched the flesh on Yan Qinghe’s waist hard in the shadows.

Yan Qinghe immediately took a sharp breath. Then his shocked, somewhat wronged, and bewildered gaze fell on Yan Zhuohua’s face. Yan Zhuohua didn’t speak, just stared at him with a smiling expression.

”What’s wrong?” Zhang Shibì looked back and forth between the two, puzzled by the strange atmosphere.

”Nothing!” Yan Qinghe forced a smile and picked up a pastry, ”Aunt Zhang, your pastries are really good. Could you teach me? I’ll make them for Zhuohua later.”

”Of course! I’ll write down the method for you later. You two are such a loving couple, not like my two sons. One shows no sign of settling down, the other flirts everywhere...” Zhang Shibì’s attention was easily diverted.

It seemed clear now who Sheng Xufeng inherited his traits from. Yan Zhuohua nodded secretly to himself.

The group chatted happily about all sorts of things, but they hadn’t yet broached the main topic.

Seeing that dinner was almost ready and they still hadn’t started talking about his enlistment, Sheng Xufeng grew anxious, constantly winking and pouting at Yan Zhuohua.

Zhang Shibì had long noticed her younger son’s restless fidgeting, but she wanted to make him sweat a little, so she didn’t give in to his wishes. Now, seeing him almost twisting his face into cramps, she leisurely began the long-prepared main topic for the eager Yan Zhuohua.
