Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2512: Chapter 2506: So It Was an Acquaintance

And they came now, perhaps because something happened here before, which led to the current situation.

Just by looking at it, not to mention Xue Ling, even Qin Xue felt that something major must have happened, otherwise it wouldn’t be so sparsely populated.

”Amitabha.” As the three of them stepped towards the temple, they heard a Buddhist chant.

”Amitabha, Master, we wish to pay respects to the Bodhisattva. Why is this place so desolate?” Qin Xue looked at the suddenly appearing monk, finding him strangely familiar, though she couldn’t recall where she had seen him before.

”The human heart is insatiable; this is a normal phenomenon. Since you all have come, naturally you are not like those people, right?” The monk looked at Qin Xue and the others, seeing that they surely had something to ask for.

For others, he could ignore them, but not Qin Xue, and the young girl beside her was not ordinary either. Treating them normally was somewhat pressuring.

”That depends on what you mean, Master.” Chu Molin glanced at him and spoke in a mild tone.

”Indeed, as a monk, I naturally speak of things that benefit myself. So, is there something you came for?” The monk eyed the three of them meaningfully. He had already said before, and this young girl’s calamity was approaching.

”I want to offer incense to the Bodhisattva and ask about something. Can it be verified?” Qin Xue felt the monk looked increasingly familiar.

”Sincerity brings about miracles. As long as you are sincere, your request will surely come true. Do you believe what this old monk says?” The monk didn’t say much further and asked Qin Xue.

”What words?” Qin Xue was curious about what he wanted to say.

”I once mentioned that the young girl has a blood disaster, do you remember?” The monk asked softly.

”So it was you. I was wondering why you looked so familiar, turns out we’ve met before.” Qin Xue realized who he was now, the old man making sugar people.

”I once said that those destined will meet again. Now you see me again, but your calamity is near. Are you mentally prepared?” The monk wasn’t revealing heavenly secrets, but rather he liked her, feeling she didn’t deserve such a big disaster, so he gave her a warning.

”You mentioned time and again that I have a calamity, but you won’t tell me what kind of disaster it is nor its process. What is the point of your words? Since I don’t know the date or event, whatever you say is meaningless to me, isn’t it?” Qin Xue truly felt that if this was true, she wouldn’t know what to say to this monk, knowing something was up but not explaining it clearly.

”You don’t understand, he doesn’t understand, but it does, and that’s enough. How merciful, how merciful.” The monk wasn’t aiming for Qin Xue to understand, as long as Xue Ling understood. With it around, he believed this young girl wouldn’t have a life-threatening worry. However, things weren’t for him to decide; it all depended on her fate.

”Playing tricks.” Though Chu Molin said this, he took the matter to heart.

If the monk had said this only once, he might not have cared, but hearing it for the second time, his heart skipped a beat. What was the matter?

Had it been someone else’s issue, he might not have believed it, but since this concerned Qin Xue, he did believe it. He knew what kind of person she was and how she came here, so he took the matter seriously, yet despite all his precautions, the matter still exceeded his expectations.
