Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2192: Chapter 2186: Missed Mealtime

When the group arrived at the dining hall, it wasn’t meal time. It was just that Chu Molin was so busy he forgot to eat, and Ye Xiao was discussing matters with Qin Huaihe and didn’t have time for a meal. That’s why they still hadn’t eaten past the meal time.

”Is there anything left to eat, Chef?” Chu Molin called out when he came to the window.

”What do you want to eat?” The chef, who wasn’t new at this workplace, put down the plates he was washing when he saw Chu Molin and asked him.

”Anything is fine as long as there’s food.” Chu Molin felt embarrassed to order at this time as the chef was busy washing dishes. If he wanted something different, the chef would have to make it specially, which seemed too troublesome, so anything would do.

”Alright then, I’ll see what’s available and make it for you. Is that okay?” The chef had no other option; after all, Molin was the one who came late.

”That’s fine, but it’s not just me this time. Look over there, there are many of us, so the portions need to be larger.” Molin didn’t mind what Ye Xiao had said about eating well; at this time, having something to fill the stomach was good enough, no room for being picky.

”Why is Mr. Ye also eating so late today? I remember his assistant came to get food to take back.” The chef was quite familiar with Ye Xiao’s assistant as well.

”Yes, got delayed with some things, but it’s fine. Just make what you can.” Molin didn’t want the chef to feel they were demanding special treatment, so he was fine with whatever was made.

”Alright then, I’ll see what to make. You go sit down; it’ll be ready soon.” The chef suggested this as there were some leftover rice and buns, which only needed reheating.

”Chef, can I cook the meal?” Qin Xue, seeing Molin talking for quite some time, guessed there wasn’t much left to eat and came over to see, overhearing their conversation.

”Who are you?” The chef hadn’t seen Qin Xue before, so he didn’t know how to respond when she offered to cook. Agreeing or refusing would require some clarification before deciding.

”Chef, this is my wife. She came to see me today. It’s fine, if it’s convenient let her cook, if not, then I’ll leave it to you.” Molin didn’t expect Qin Xue to make such a request.

”No problem, you can cook.” The chef was understanding; this husband wasn’t with his wife, living in different places. When the wife visits, naturally, the husband would want to eat her cooking, so he understood Qin Xue’s reasoning.

As long as he knew who she was, he was comfortable letting her take over.

”Thank you, Chef.” Qin Xue didn’t expect a single word from Molin to allow her into the kitchen; the chef was really accommodating.

”No need to thank me. We only have these dishes left, just cook whatever you feel like.” Their meals were always measured; there wasn’t much left over, but there were enough varieties for a few people to have a meal.

”Okay, I’m almost done. Molin, go over there and wait with them; I’ll be ready soon.” Qin Xue smiled and instructed Molin.

”Let me help, it’ll be faster this way.” Molin prepared to join Qin Xue in cooking.

”You go accompany them, I’ll help Xuexue.” Qing Zhu noticed one by one they came but didn’t return to their seats, so she came over. It was all because of the unresolved issue with the meal.

”Alright then, I’ll leave it to you. Thank you.” Molin didn’t argue; being with his wife was enjoyable, but with others around it was a bit different.
