Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2033: Chapter 2027: Not Believing

”Speak plainly, what do you mean by saying you have nowhere to go? Who would believe that the eldest son of the Li family has no place to stay?” An Hao watched as Li Zhao went to hold the child and did not stop him. Even if they were to really separate in the future, this was still his child, and as a mother, she couldn’t stop the child from seeing him. It would be better not to stop it from the beginning to avoid everyone’s embarrassment.

”I just want you and Jing Yi. Later, just come home occasionally for visits, that’s enough. Haven’t I already said that I’ll move out and live with you? Did you always think I was joking?” Li Zhao finally understood what An Hao meant. So, she never really believed that he meant what he said. No wonder she was so surprised.

”Li Zhao, are you out of your mind?” An Hao truly couldn’t believe it. Li Zhao was moving out like this, without caring for anything?

”Wife, don’t you believe me?” Li Zhao looked hurt as he gazed at An Hao. Recently, he had been acting a bit like an old woman, but he hadn’t done anything to betray her. He only ever loved An Hao. Since he loved her, he wasn’t going to get involved with other women.

”Would your mother agree to you moving out?” An Hao didn’t even need to think to know what Chen Lei’s attitude would be. Surely she would think that it was An Hao who had instigated it, right? Her image in Chen Lei’s mind would undoubtedly take a further nosedive. Not only that, but Chen Lei might also think An Hao was unimaginably terrible, taking her son away too.

”She doesn’t agree, but you’re the one I’m going to spend my life with. She is my mother, and I must be filial to her, but I can’t just give up my wife and daughter because she wants me to have a child immediately, right? No matter who you ask, they would make the same decision as I did.” Li Zhao was only moving out; it wasn’t as if he was leaving his family behind. He was still a child of the Lis and Chen Lei’s son, wasn’t he? Given that, he was still himself, and his parents were still his parents; he would continue being filial. Moving out was only done out of necessity, not because he wouldn’t return.

”You should go back.” An Hao knew it would end up like this.

”An’an, we are husband and wife, supposed to be together for a lifetime. Can you stop pushing me away all the time? Have you ever considered my feelings when you do this? Have you ever asked what I think about it? What you’re doing is unfair to me and Jing Yi. Don’t you think you’re being selfish?” Li Zhao asked several questions in a row.

”I just don’t want to ruin the relationship between your family.” An Hao was choked up with words. She didn’t want this either, but did he know that his mother had threatened her with her own life to make her leave?

She shouldn’t think making this decision was easy; it’s not like she wasn’t suffering too. It’s not as if she didn’t have feelings for Li Zhao anymore. But with so many things piling up, she was tired, she didn’t want to continue, so she thought of leaving the Lis. However, Li Zhao was right; she hadn’t discussed it with him. But during those days, he could have come to find her sooner. Yet he delayed for so long, even letting her see him together with another woman. Were it anyone else, they might have cried, thrown a scene, or even done something drastic. How could she stay so calm?

An Hao just didn’t understand that sometimes, it’s better for couples to have a huge fight than to say nothing at all. People always say that bickering is part of living, but when a couple enters a cold war, it usually ends in divorce. Why is that? Because during a big fight, people voice what’s in their hearts, so the other knows what the quarrel is about. After the anger subsides, they’d figure out a way to solve it. But a cold war is the exact opposite: no talking, no communication, neither knows what the other wants or why they’re angry. This way, the problem isn’t solved, conflicts deepen, until one day everything just erupts and leads straight to divorce.
