Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2012: Chapter 2006: There’s a Pretty Good Girl

”Mr. Xiao, what do you think Mrs. Chu meant? Is there really some exceptional talent coming to your company?” Wen Qing asked Xiao Qi.

”Change the way you address me, stop always teasing me.” Xiao Qi wasn’t meeting Wen Qing for the first time. Back when his former company was in S Province, they already had business dealings, and the two were as familiar as family. Yet, every time in front of others, he would call him Xiao Qi, but behind his back, it was always Mr. Xiao, which made him uncomfortable.

”Mr. Xiao, where do we stand now? You know what Mrs. Chu said, let’s go check together. If there’s any good talent, we’ll keep them, otherwise, don’t blame me for poaching from you.” Wen Qing worked in a different field; otherwise, his words might actually come true.

”Stop it, if you dare do that, don’t blame me for cutting off our business.” Xiao Qi shot him a look. If he wanted to poach staff from his company, it would also depend on whether Xiao Qi was willing.

”Just kidding, we’re here.” Wen Qing had a big business deal with Xiao Qi, so he was often stationed in Xiao Qi’s company and was quite familiar with the place.

Of course, apart from their internal data, Wen Qing knew the place inside out, even down to which cleaning auntie’s cat had a kitten.

If Qin Xue knew about this, she’d say he had the potential to be a paparazzi.

”Mr. Xiao, who do you think Mrs. Chu was talking about?” Wen Qing and Xiao Qi stood outside looking at the people waiting for interviews in the meeting room. They didn’t know who Qin Xue was talking about, so he looked at each one individually.

After hearing Wen Qing’s words, he also wanted to know which woman caught Qin Xue’s eye. How did just one visit to the company prompt Qin Xue to speak up?

But to Xiao Qi, every woman seemed to be meticulously dressed. As long as they presented themselves quietly like this, he really couldn’t tell which one Qin Xue was talking about.

However, coincidentally, just when he was at a loss, he felt a gaze shooting towards him.

”Such keen alertness.” Wen Qing also felt that sharp look.

”Interesting indeed,” Wen Qing murmured to himself.

”Interesting, but we still need to observe further before deciding.” Xiao Qi didn’t expect this woman to be so perceptive. No wonder Qin Xue said there was a remarkable woman here, it seemed to be her.

”Of course, you need to recruit for work, if they’re not competent, how could you hire them? Isn’t that right, Mr. Xiao?” Wen Qing stroked his chin and looked inside at Ruan Xinya. This woman seemed to have some ability; otherwise, Qin Xue wouldn’t have mentioned her specifically. He had heard Xiao Qi mention Qin Xue before, so someone she favored must not be bad.

Therefore, Wen Qing thought Xiao Qi would definitely recruit this woman, but he was curious about where he would place her. This was the aspect that interested him.

Finally, something to stir the peaceful days; it was still highly anticipated. It’s rare to encounter something involving Xiao Qi, so he planned to enjoy watching it unfold.

”Let’s go.” Without glancing at Wen Qing, Xiao Qi turned and walked away.

”You’re not watching?” Wen Qing looked in shock at Xiao Qi’s back.

”I already know who it is, is there a need to stay?” Xiao Qi turned to give Wen Qing a glance and directly asked back.

”Uh, although there might be no need, aren’t you curious about her abilities? Don’t you want to see how she handles the interview?” Wen Qing truly didn’t expect this reaction from Xiao Qi.

”Not interested. If you want to see, go sit for the interview yourself, then you can get a good look.” Xiao Qi didn’t have time to waste here; he preferred to go back and handle official business.
