Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1937: Chapter 1931: The Inner World of the Child

”Haha, the world of children is something we adults don’t understand.” Fang Xiu laughed.

”You’re wrong. If we also look at things as if we were children, then we might closely align with their thoughts. Do you believe that?” Qin Xue understood that their way of thinking is different from children’s, so we should think like innocent children, and not see ourselves as just parents.

When we play as big friends with the little ones, we discover many fun things that adults don’t usually experience.

”You’re right, it’s because we haven’t personally experienced the mental journey of children, so we think they understand nothing, but it’s not true.” After listening to Qin Xue, Fang Xiu realized her own thinking was problematic.

Many times when she was with her son, she would feel a sense of superiority as a parent. She felt that the things and thoughts her little son had were something she, as his mother, couldn’t understand. So she often followed Qin Xue’s advice, letting him think and do things on his own, correcting him only when he made mistakes, but otherwise letting him explore freely. After starting this approach, she found that her son excelled in many areas.

For example, when she gives her son a sweet potato, many mothers think that their young children wouldn’t know how to peel it, so they do it for them without letting the child try it first.

But what is the actual situation? The reality is often different from what most mothers imagine.

The child not only can peel it but does so neatly. Although awkward, he can manage it. So parents shouldn’t think of doing everything for their children. Children have their own world, and they aren’t as we assume. Therefore, adults shouldn’t handle everything for them.

We need to ask children more about what they need and understand their inner world more. Only in this way can we really connect with them.

Only by becoming friends with children can we understand what their inner world is like, which is filled with exciting ideas. Truly, it’s a colorful world.

”So we older friends can often put aside our identities to bond with them. This way, we can understand what they are thinking, right?” Qin Xue thought this because in a past life she had helped a friend’s child participate in a parent-child activity during Children’s Day.

Attending such an event was quite accidental. Qin Xue was off that day with no plans and was ready to sleep an entire day at home, but she received a call from a friend.

The friend said she was about to attend a parent-child activity at the kindergarten when she got a call from work, and had to rush to the office immediately, otherwise, her job would be at risk. She contacted all her friends, but none were available, so she called Qin Xue, who was single, for help.

And since Qin Xue had no plans, and considering she had a good relationship with the friend, she abandoned her sleep-all-day plan and headed for the kindergarten to join the kids.

The scene that day was quite amusing. When she arrived, she saw her friend talking to her child about it.

”Mom, you always break your promises. Aren’t you afraid of becoming a promise-breaker?” The child looked unhappily at his mom.
