Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1919: Chapter 1913 The Left-Behind Women

”Makes sense, I should learn from you all in the future.” Upon hearing this, Dongfang Li’s heart was slightly moved. Indeed, living in past regrets is less productive than looking forward. Besides, she has so many things to do now, she doesn’t have the spare time to mourn the past.

”Welcome, welcome.” Qin Xue extended her hand for a friendly handshake with Dongfang Li.

”Yes, let’s work hard together.” Dongfang Li reached out, shook Qin Xue’s hand, and smiled.

”Xuexue, did the little girl cry when she went out with you today? Did she cause any trouble last night?” Qing Zhu waited until they finished speaking before asking Qin Xue.

”I didn’t hear her cry last night, but Ye Xuan seemed quite tired when he got up this morning. He said he woke up every time Yuran moved, so he didn’t get much rest. As for today, she didn’t cry or make a fuss, she was very good.” Qin Xue said truthfully to prevent Qing Zhu from worrying.

”This girl seems to have a big heart. Since birth, I’ve only left her once before, and ever since, I’ve been the one taking care of her. But now, she doesn’t cry even when I’m not with her. I don’t know whether to feel happy or sad.” Qing Zhu looked down at her daughter in her arms, feeling a bit troubled.

”That’s likely because Ye Xuan has been holding her during this period, coupled with their blood relation, so she’s not acting up. I think it’s quite normal.” Qin Xue didn’t share Qing Zhu’s sentiment, but this was the only reason she could think of.

”I know, that’s why I’m troubled. Is it true that fathers are more easily accepted than mothers?” Qing Zhu was aware that in the future, many children are raised by women, and fathers are absent for long periods, yet when they meet, children naturally gravitate towards their fathers, leaving mothers sidelined.

Qing Zhu couldn’t understand this back then, and even now, with her own daughter, she still couldn’t comprehend it, unsure of what to do.

”You could say parents are like the sky to their children, each holding up one side.” Qin Xue thought for a moment before speaking.

Because when children live with their mothers most of the time, they always ask when they get home: Where’s my mom?

But when there’s a problem, they always turn to their father first, then the mother. Hence, Qin Xue feels parents are an indispensable part of a child’s growth. Yet, in the future, how many such children are there?

Left-behind children, empty-nest elders, and now there’s a new term, left-behind women. The first two are easily understood, but the concept of left-behind women puzzles some people.

In truth, daughters, like sons, need care and especially require their husband’s love. A woman not only has to manage all the household affairs but also educate the children, honor both sets of parents, and maintain good relations with siblings and in-laws, which is truly challenging.

If at this time, a husband fails to understand, it can lead to marital issues. Many couples end in divorce because of these issues, and there are some statistics on this globally.

But most left-behind women suffer this due to financial strain, pressured by life circumstances. Yet, some men, due to long absences, succumb to loneliness and commit adultery, which inflicts the greatest harm on their wives and children at home.

This is why left-behind women become a major topic in the future, attracting so much attention.

Because a family really cannot do without a woman. Even if a man feels his woman is inadequate, when she truly leaves, he realizes it’s not living anymore.
