Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1332: Chapter 1326: Where to Give Birth_1 Chapter 1332: Chapter 1326: Where to Give Birth_1 “You two, start eating. It’s getting cold.” Qin Xue saw that Ye Xuan was just gazing at them, not picking up his chopsticks. Fang Xiu also just stared, not moving her chopsticks. What on earth were they both thinking, not eating their meals?

“We’ll eat, we’ll start now.” Ye Xuan was astonished by the courtesy of these kids, so young and yet not rushing to eat. They were incredibly smart for their age.

“Huh, this meat tastes different from what we usually eat.” Ye Xuan had tasted a lot, even things he usually wouldn’t eat, but none had such a delicious texture as this meat.

“This is from a bamboo rat, a type of rat that specializes in eating bamboo.” Qin Xue wasn’t entirely sure how to explain since the bamboo rat doesn’t just eat bamboo leaves, but also bamboo shoots, cane, reed stalks, and so on.

Because a bamboo rat’s diet consists of rough feed, its meat is very delicious and cannot be compared to ordinary meat. These were caught in her space, nurtured by spiritual energy, making them far beyond the ordinary.

“Bamboo rat, like a mouse? We have eaten that too, but perhaps due to different ways of cooking, it never tasted as good as yours.” Ye Xuan and his family sometimes ate it raw, sometimes roasted. They never tasted anything as delicious as the way Qin Xue had cooked it.

“Every person has their own cooking style. Even if the ingredients and spices are the same, the taste will differ depending on the cook. That’s normal.” Qin Xue wasn’t fazed by Ye Xuan’s question. Chu Xiaoqiao, her pupil, had a different cooking style, even though she learned from Qin Xue.

“I believe that.” Ye Xuan nodded. He had tasted the food of different people, just like Qin Xue had said, food from different hands tasted different.

“If you like it, eat more and talk less.” Chu Molin didn’t want him to keep questioning and told him to eat quickly.

“I understand.” Ye Xuan was only casually asking. It wasn’t like he had to dig in too deep. Fang Xiu was just silently observing their conversation.

“Xiu, your due date is nearing. Do you want Jing Xin to take leave and come here, and have your confinement period here? Or do you want to go back to S Province to give birth?” Qin Xue asked Fang Xiu, who was heavily pregnant.

Qin Xue’s opinion was to let her give birth here. They could all help her out. If she went back, Jing Xin would not have the time to care for her, right?

“Help me rent a house, I’ll give birth here.” Fang Xiu knew it was inappropriate to give birth in someone else’s house. Therefore, if she planned to stay, she would have to rent a place.

“You don’t need to worry about housing, just decide where you want to give birth.” Qin Xue wasn’t trying to drive her away, but she understood the etiquette, hence she took these matters into consideration.

“Okay, I’ll give birth here. But I may need your help in finding someone to cook for me.” Fang Xiu didn’t ask Qin Xue to cook because she had two kids to look after, which wasn’t very convenient.

She would have to hire someone for everything, and she would plan the rest once the baby was a month old. If it were up to her, she wouldn’t want to have a second child or have them close together, but now that she was pregnant, she couldn’t refuse. She had to give birth.

“Don’t worry about that, someone will take care of you.” Qin Xue didn’t want Fang Xiu to worry about these things. Yingying had said she would find someone to take care of Fang Xiu and all she needed to do was decide where she wanted to spend her confinement period.

Yingying said she had been back home and asked around. It seemed there was an 80-90% chance that Jing Xin belonged to the Nangong family by blood. However, without DNA testing, it was impossible to confirm; theoretically, he could just be Yingying’s long-lost elder brother.

As per Qin Xue’s memory, DNA testing was introduced in Hua Country in 1985. So she could only guess but not confirm whether this was the case.
