Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 841: Chapter 835: Want to be a Doctor_1

It wasn’t until half an hour later that Gong Yuliang put down his pen, closed the file, and stood up with it in his hand.

“I kept you waiting, let’s go.” Gong Yuliang often lost track of time when he was busy, and he only just realized that he had kept Qin Xue waiting for so long.

“Okay.” Qin Xue smiled and stood up to follow Gong Yuliang.

First, Gong Yuliang took Qin Xue to the nursing station. Seeing the bustling white-clad angels, Qin Xue found the familiar scene particularly warm.

“Ms. Zhang, please give this document to Nangong, and ask her and Mr. Mo to come to the meeting room. Tell them that the person who is taking the test has arrived.” Gong Yuliang handed the file to one of the nurses at the station.

“Yes, Mr. Gong.” Ms. Zhang took the file and replied before leaving.

...
“Let’s go to the meeting room and wait for Nangong and the others.” Gong Yuliang turned back to Qin Xue and said.

“Okay.” Qin Xue simply agreed, without saying anything else. This felt quite familiar to her, and the familiar smell of disinfectant actually made her feel more at ease.

“Qin Xue, how do you know Ye Xuan?” Gong Yuliang asked Qin Xue after taking her to the meeting room and pouring her a cup of water.

“Thank you, Mr. Gong, but I’m really sorry, I don’t know who Ye Xuan is.” Qin Xue smiled and spoke softly.

“Huh, if you don’t know him, then why are you here for this exam? You understand what it means to take this exam, don’t you?” Gong Yuliang asked Qin Xue.

“I know, it might be because my husband knows him.” Qin Xue smiled, her philosophy was simple: if her skills were needed, she would serve the country in the army. If they did not appreciate her, she would have to seek opportunities elsewhere.

Qin Xue was not stressed about it, she was not worried, all she wanted right now was her medical license. She would join the army if fate allowed her to, and there was nothing she could do if it didn’t.

“Very well, now can you tell me what you know?” Gong Yuliang looked at Qin Xue as he asked her about her knowledge; he wanted to understand the areas she was familiar with.

“Well, Mr. Gong, my specialty is surgery. I have some knowledge in other areas, but I am most proficient with the scalpel.” Qin Xue said, and took out her scalpel from her bag and began practicing with it in front of Gong Yuliang. Gong Yuliang watched her skillful movements and nodded, he could see from her handling of the scalpel that she knew how to use it, but how well, he did not yet know. The most crucial aspect of understanding her skills was direct observation, so he decided that he would observe her perform a surgery. They were just in time for an operation which was scheduled for the afternoon. He thought, “let’s see if she’s as competent as she claims to be.”

“Good, at that time, please don’t hold back your abilities. After all, we are all here to serve the country. For our comrades who are protecting the nation at the front-lines, what we need are capable individuals who can perform a variety of procedures.” Gong Yuliang didn’t want Qin Xue to be merely a showpiece. Since Ye Xuan had called him, she must have some impressive qualities. This was something that Gong Yuliang did not doubt.

If Ye Xuan was doing something like this, there could only be two possiblities, either Qin Xue was really talented, or he was told to do so by his father.

According to what Qin Xue had just said, it seemed like it was because of her husband. Wait, was she married? She looked so young, like she was still a high school student, yet she was already married. This was when Gong Yuliang registered what Qin Xue had just said.

“Mr. Gong, rest assured, I know what I need to do, and moreover, I aim to be an excellent surgeon.” Qin Xue admired those doctors who fought tirelessly on the front line. She used to be like that.

“Well put, plenty of ambition.” Nangong Susu and Mr. Mo had just entered the meeting room and overheard Qin Xue’s words, which made Mr. Mo voice his praise.
