Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 816: Chapter 810: Overly Concerned_1

Well, this situation just keeps getting more interesting. You like your own brother, huh? I’ll bet Jing Yuan doesn’t know yet that Jing Xin isn’t her real brother. How amusing, this is clearly against the rules of ethics—it’s incest plain and simple.

Who knows how Jing Yuan came to fall for her own brother? Even though this brother is not related by blood, she probably doesn’t know that. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be looking so shy and coy, afraid of being found out.

I don’t know if I’ve become corrupt, but suddenly Fang Xiu was very curious about Jing Xin’s expression when he finds out Jing Yuan loves him. Will he understand? Or will he be shocked like she was just now?

And would Jing Yuan vomit blood out of disgust when she finds out Jing Xin isn’t her real brother? Fang Xiu couldn’t help but laugh at the thought.

“What are you laughing for?” Jing Xin asked, puzzled by his wife’s smile.

“Oh, nothing. I just thought about a joke.” Isn’t it indeed a joke? A sister in love with her brother, even helping their mother to kick her sister-in-law out of the house, it’s so laughable. The funniest thing is that she only just realized it.

...
“What’s so funny? Share it with me,” Jing Xin said softly, looking at his wife.

“Maybe not. I don’t want you guys to get the wrong idea,” Fang Xiu certainly won’t be the one to burst that bubble. She won’t make herself uncomfortable. If she says it now in front of Jing Xin, it won’t be any fun. Let him find out for himself. He adores his sister, doesn’t he? She’s curious to see his reaction when he discovers he drove her out of the Jing’s household, she can’t bear to sit with them any longer.

So she stood up, holding their son, and left the shop. She left the siblings sitting there. Jing Xin didn’t know why Fang Xiu had abruptly picked up their son and left, but Jing Yuan was ecstatic. Jing Yuan still thought her sister-in-law was just as stupid as ever, which was just what Jing Yuan hoped.

“Brother, are you doing well?” A gleeful Jing Yuan asked her brother.

“Same as always. Did you come today because you need something?” Jing Xin’s face was softer than usual.

“No, not really. I just missed my sister-in-law. And I missed you.” Jing Yuan initially wanted to say she missed him only, but she was afraid he would ignore her if he knew her true intentions, so she said she missed her sister-in-law.

“Silly girl, your brother and sister-in-law are right here. Come over if you miss us.” Jing Xin saw her longing as normal family missing, and she had been faking it successfully all this time, so he didn’t think much about it more.

“Really? That’s great, you have no idea how bored I was at home. Mom also keeps picking on me.” Jing Yuan whimpered, looking pitifully at Jing Xin.

“What happened to mom?” As soon as Jing Xin heard about Mrs. Jing, he thought about what he had heard that day, the Jing’s house is really a mess. He feels fortunate that he’s not their real son, or he would certainly feel disgusted.

“I don’t know. Mom has been acting strangely lately; even Dad thinks something is off with her.” Jing Yuan’s aggrieved tone made Jing Xin sympathise with her. He reached out to pat her head. His sympathy for her living situation in the Jing’s household, not unlike his own, made him more caring towards this unrelated sister. But what he didn’t know was that his care was hurting the woman who loved him and leading the girl harboring illusions deeper.

Jing Xin didn’t notice Fang Xiu saw his compassionate eyes and gestures for Jing Yuan when Fang Xiu came in. It seems it’s not unrequited love after all. Haha, she really finds herself a laughing stock.
