Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 838: Chapter 832: The Gift is Clothes_1

“Go sit by the table, I bought some food. I originally wanted to give you a big surprise, but you took so long to come back that the food probably got cold.” Jing Peng ruffled Jing Yuan’s hair.

“I’ll reheat the food.” Jing Yuan placed the flowers on the table and said. As long as it wasn’t what she had been thinking, then she had nothing to be afraid of.

“Alright, then I’ll change my clothes.” Jing Peng looked at her, his eyes filled with obvious amusement as she lowered her guard.

“Hmm.” Jing Yuan trustingly complied, being the obedient girl she was.

Turning to go upstairs, Jing Peng stopped at the staircase to watch the girl bustling around in the kitchen. He undid the top button of his shirt, giving it a tug, “Yuanyuan, whatever I’ve told you has always been true. Since you don’t listen, you will be punished.”

Jing Peng turned and went into his room, taking out a set of casual clothes from the closet. After taking a shower, he came back downstairs with a bag in his hands.

...
“Big brother, you’re here.” Jing Yuan placed the last dish on the table and said to him.

“Hmm, this is a gift for you. Try it on and see if it fits.” Jing Peng handed the bag to Jing Yuan.

“Big brother, is it clothes?” Jing Yuan took the bag and asked Jing Peng.

“Yes, go ahead, there are plenty of empty rooms upstairs. Except for the third room on your left, which is my room, you can go to any other room.” Jing Peng laughed, and his smile put Jing Yuan’s mind at ease. His smile really suited him, but he seldom laughed, which often made him seem gloomy and disconcerting. However, once he smiled, Jing Yuan let down her guard completely.

“Okay, then you can help me judge how I look in a bit.” Jing Yuan happily went upstairs with the clothes. She had received gifts from her big brother before, but they weren’t clothes. It was a common occurrence for her to receive gifts from her big brother. Her mother might not treat her well, but her two brothers did. She didn’t have much to worry about concerning her two brothers, except that her big brother sometimes made her a little scared.

Jing Yuan took the clothes and went into the second room on the left to change. She initially took off her clothes and tried on the new ones, but then put them down and went into the bathroom to take a hot shower, without questioning the availability of hot water.

After Jing Yuan finished her shower and put on the new clothes, she hardly believed that the girl in the mirror was her. The clothes were beautiful and complimented her well. The only thing was that the neckline was a bit too low, revealing a portion of her fair skin in a tantalizing way.

Jing Yuan’s face turned red. She had a fuller chest, so the outfit looked great on her. The low-cut top gave her a feeling of both shyness and joy, and suddenly she wanted her older brother to see how she looked in it.

“Yuanyuan, aren’t you done yet? The food will get cold.” Jing Peng had to go upstairs to call her as she took too long.

“I’m done, but big brother, this dress is a bit…” Jing Yuan covered her chest with one hand and opened the door with the other upon hearing her brother’s voice.

“What’s wrong with the dress?” Jing Peng was speechless as his voice trailed off. He always knew Jing Yuan was pretty, but he didn’t expect her to look completely different in new clothes.

“Big brother, do I look ugly?” Jing Yuan asked with a blushing face.

“No, you look very beautiful.” Jing Peng knew this dress suited her.

“But the neckline is way too low.” Jing Yuan said shyly, her face flushed.

“Where is it low? Let me see.” Jing Peng had only noticed her fair collarbone and didn’t understand what she meant by “low”.
