A God-tier Counter-damage Priest, I am the Master!

17: The number one priest in the entire serverThe announcement of the first Mage to reach Level 10 and complete the First Advancement shocked and envied all online players.

The ID Emil became known to the world overnight, gaining fame in [Nine Heavens].

But in fact, if the hidden quest hadn’t been so troublesome, forcing Bai Tian to run around the map for an hour, the player who could truly have been the first to reach Level 10 would definitely have been him, not some Emil.

But since things had come to this, Bai Tian could only seize the moment and return to the Novice Village immediately to find the Old Village Chief.

”Village Chief, I have fortunately completed the mission.”

Bai Tian ran into the Village Chief’s courtyard in one breath.

Upon seeing that Bai Tian had retrieved his brother’s remains, the Old Village Chief lost his composure again, his eyes turning red with tears and his hands trembling slightly.

— ”(Ding-dong!)”

”(Congratulations on completing the D-rank hidden quest: Retrieve the remains of the Old Village Chief’s brother.)”

”(Reward Experience: +20,000, Luck: +1, Gold Coins: +10, Reputation: +20, [Weapon Blind Box] x1.)”

”(Congratulations on reaching Level 10. All attributes +1, Free Attribute Points +10.)”

After completing the quest, a series of system prompts continuously rang in Bai Tian’s ears.

— ”(Ding-dong!)”

”(Congratulations to player — Brilliant, for being the first Priest in the server to reach Level 10. As a reward, the quest is waived, and you are directly promoted to the First Advancement.)”

”(You have triggered a server-wide system announcement. Do you wish to hide your ID for the broadcast?)”

At this, Bai Tian’s heart surged with excitement.

He was at the age of youthful arrogance; who wouldn’t want fame and success? Hiding his ID wouldn’t be Bai Tian.

”Do not hide!”

As Bai Tian responded, in the next moment, the golden system announcement that shook the entire server echoed three times.

— ”(Ding-dong!)”

”(Congratulations to player — [Brilliant] from the [Great Xia] region for reaching Level 10 and successfully completing the First Advancement.)”

”(As the first Priest-Class player in [Nine Heavens] to successfully complete the First Advancement, Brilliant is rewarded with: Level +1, Luck +2, Reputation +200, one Hidden Class Card.)”

First, Emil completed the Level 10 Mage advancement, and not long after, another server-wide system announcement rang out. The infinite shock brought to all players came wave after wave.

It was fine that Emil leveled up fast; after all, she was a Mage Class.

But Brilliant was a Priest, a notoriously support Class that would surely be useless without someone to carry him.

As a result, a Priest-Class player’s speed in reaching Level 10 was actually only a few minutes slower than Emil’s, which left countless players stunned.

At this moment, players from all over the world were no longer calm.

”baka! This guy named Brilliant has a very bad heart. For a Priest to reach Level 10 so quickly, he must be cheating.”

”We players from the Great [Sakura] region are not convinced. We want to complain, we want to protest. The [Nine Heavens] officials must give our Great [Sakura] region an explanation.”

”Wo-shiba! Our [Kimchi] region’s most perfect recognized top god, Brother Sun-sumida, a Warrior Class, has only just reached Level 9.”

”How can a Priest reach Level 10 before our Brother Sun-sumida? There’s a ghost, there’s definitely a ghost.”

”Hmph! Our [Freedom] region’s number one genius goddess Emil being the first in the server to reach Level 10 is well-deserved and stands up to scrutiny and verification.”

”But how can a Priest reach Level 10 so quickly? We in the [Freedom] region seriously suspect there is some shady business behind this.”

”...”

Because of the announcement triggered by Bai Tian, a Priest Class, completing the Level 10 First Advancement, it immediately sparked the envy, jealousy, and dissatisfaction of countless foreign players.

Under the [Nine Heavens] official forums, countless protest and complaint posts from players of other countries quickly appeared.

But regarding these complaints, the [Nine Heavens] officials gave a unified response: ”[Nine Heavens] is fair and just, there are absolutely no BUGs!”

As for Bai Tian himself, he had already appeared in a special space.

Level 10 players who have completed their First Advancement are about to leave the Novice Island and head to a broader map.

The system was asking Bai Tian to make a choice.

— ”(Ding-dong!)”

”([Nine Heavens] has opened the [Eastern, Vast Heaven Realm], [Southern, Blazing Heaven Realm], [Western, Bright Heaven Realm], and [Northern, Mystic Heaven Realm] to all First Advancement players.)”

”(Please manually select the Great World you wish to go to for your adventure.)”

Vast Heaven Realm?

Not long ago, weren’t the NPCs he saved, A Niu and the others, from there?

Besides, for a Great Xia player, the Eastern Vast Heaven Realm was naturally the most suitable first choice.

Bai Tian chose directly: ”Vast Heaven Realm.”

”(Selection successful!)”

”(In 10 seconds, you will be randomly teleported to a Level 1 area on the outskirts of the [Vast Heaven Realm].)”

While the system was counting down, two voice messages from friends suddenly popped up in Bai Tian’s friend function.

Looking at them, they were actually sent by Glorious World and Jade Star Painting Moon.

These two had clearly just logged on.

Glorious World: ”Brother Brilliant! Congratulations, congratulations on taking the title of the server’s number one Priest.”

”I want that [brutes shield]. Do you think 200,000 is feasible?”

Jade Star Painting Moon: ”Brilliant, I’m impressed, truly impressed. The server’s number one Priest, well-deserved.”

”I’ll offer 300,000 for the [brutes shield].”

In fact, although the [brutes shield] was currently considered top-tier equipment for a novice Class,

it was only of Green quality and was also early-stage transitional equipment. The normal price was estimated to be around 40,000 to 50,000 at most.

Moreover, in less than a week, this shield would rapidly depreciate.

But Glorious World and Jade Star Painting Moon each offered a sky-high price for this equipment. Clearly, although they wanted the gear, what they wanted more was to pull Bai Tian into their guilds.

They were using sugar-coated bullets in advance!

Just as Bai Tian was about to reply to the two of them, the system countdown ended, and Bai Tian was enveloped by the light of teleportation, completely leaving the Novice Island.

After a good while of the world spinning, Bai Tian appeared in a wilderness filled with a primitive aura.

— ”(Ding-dong!)”

”(You have officially set foot in the border wilderness of the [Vast Heaven Realm].)”

”(Special Note! This is a lawless land; players must rely entirely on themselves to survive and establish a foothold. Solemn Warning! Please do not treat this as an ordinary game.)”

”(Ten miles away, there is a Border Wild City. Players who have just arrived can temporarily go there for supplies.)”

Hearing the series of prompts, Bai Tian was a bit dumbfounded.

How was this completely different from what the beta testers had leaked?

After leaving the Novice Island at the First Advancement, players don’t have a fixed city to settle in?

Moreover, after arriving in the Vast Heaven Realm, Glorious World and the other person in his friend list were grayed out, temporarily unreachable.

Whatever, check the equipment first, then go take a look at that Border Wild City in a bit.

At this time, Bai Tian’s bag contained a bunch of good things.

There were 4 pieces of equipment, a box, and a gem dropped by the BOSS Merlin.

There was also a skill book dropped by the Dwarf Strongman.

As well as the [Weapon Blind Box] given to him after completing the Old Village Chief’s quest.

Check the equipment and skill book first: [Black Iron Heavy Armor]!

[Black Iron Leggings - Left]!

[Black Iron Leggings - Right]!

[Fine Steel Belt]!

...— [Battle Qi Roar] F-rank skill!

(Consumes 50 Mana, emits a Battle Qi Roar, increasing the Attack and Defense of yourself and friendly units by 5% for 20 seconds.)

(CD: 5 minutes.)

Learning requirements: Level 5 or above Warrior, Class.

The four pieces of equipment dropped by the BOSS were all Black quality, heavy armor type equipment.

Bai Tian was a bit depressed. It was fine that a Demon-rank BOSS didn’t even drop a single piece of Green gear, but it happened that all the drops were for Warriors and Classes.

It seems these four pieces of equipment can only be sold for money.

Fortunately, the skill book dropped by the Dwarf Strongman was decent, considered a minor top-tier skill.

Bai Tian then looked at the box and gem dropped by the BOSS.

— [Silver Treasure Box]!

(After opening, there is a 50% chance to obtain a Green gear for your Class; a 45% chance to obtain a Blue gear for your Class; and a 5% chance to obtain a Purple gear for your Class.)

— [Level 2 Strength Gem]!

(When socketed into a weapon, it can increase Strength by 20 points.)

(This is a Level 2 gem. After being socketed into a weapon, there are 6 more chances to remove it; if it exceeds 6 times, it will disappear permanently.)

The [Silver Treasure Box] was a good item, guaranteed to drop a Green gear for his Class, with a chance for Blue or Purple gear.

If he opened a Purple gear, that would be awesome.

Bai Tian was in no hurry to open the Silver Treasure Box; he still had the [Weapon Blind Box] obtained from completing the quest.

As well as the Hidden Class Card obtained for being the first Priest in the server to complete the First Advancement.

— [Weapon Blind Box]!

(A precious item from the Old Village Chief’s youth. After opening, you are guaranteed to get a weapon for your Class.)

— [Hidden Class Card]!

(This is a rare item passed down from ancient times.)

(After use, it will trigger a hidden quest; after completion, you can change your Class to a powerful hidden Class.)

Bai Tian was already a hidden Class — [Cold Abyss Great Shaman]. This Hidden Class Card could be given to his Close Friend Liao Fan.

Next, Bai Tian rubbed his hands together; it was time to open the surprise blind boxes.

He now possessed 4 points of Luck; logically speaking, his luck shouldn’t be too bad.

Bai Tian didn’t hesitate and opened the [Weapon Blind Box] and the [Silver Treasure Box] at once.

— ”(Ding-dong!)”

”(You obtained a weapon for your Class — [green wave pure lotus splendor].)”

”(You obtained the equipment — [illusionless ring].)”

— [green wave pure lotus splendor]!

(Bound to player Brilliant, cannot be traded, dropped, or destroyed.)

Quality: Green (Upgradeable!)

Attack: 318

(Int, Agi): +30

[God-given]: When using a skill, there is a chance to Refresh the CD of that skill.

Durability: 100/100

— [illusionless ring]!

(Universal for all classes)

Quality: Blue

Attack: +99

(Str, Con, Int, Agi): +20

Durability: 200/200

Usage requirement: Level 12 or above

Holy crap!

An upgradeable Green weapon and a Blue ring; the attributes were both extremely explosive.

This made Bai Tian’s eyes shine with excitement, as if he could already see himself running rampant in the game.

Unfortunately, the [illusionless ring] required reaching Level 12 to equip, and Bai Tian was currently only Level 11.

In [Nine Heavens], only equipment below Green quality has no level restriction for wearing.

Equipment above Green all has level requirements.

The [illusionless ring] could only be put away for now, to be equipped after Bai Tian reached Level 12.

Bai Tian immediately threw away the novice broken wooden staff in his hand and replaced it with the [green wave pure lotus splendor], which was emerald green like jade, crystal clear, and in the form of a staff.

Top-tier weapon!

For now, this was already equivalent to a divine artifact among players.

After equipping the [green wave pure lotus splendor], Bai Tian couldn’t wait to admire his current attributes.

He discovered that he actually had 26 unassigned attribute points.

5 of them were a reward for killing the BOSS Merlin, and 10 were from reaching Level 10.

Could the other 11 points be obtained when he reached Level 11 after the system rewarded him with a level?

Bai Tian checked his personal information log and found it was indeed so.

It seemed that after a player reaches Level 10 and completes the First Advancement, each level up grants two points to all attributes instead of the original one point.

And the free attribute points would also be more than before Level 10.

Bai Tian distributed the 26 attribute points as 10 Intelligence, 10 Constitution, and 6 Agility.

Character Name: Brilliant

Class: Cold Abyss Great Shaman (First Advancement, all attributes increased by 30%!)

Level: 11 (17451/307200)

HP: 949

Mana: 6362

Magic Attack: 1151

Physical Defense: 76

Magic Defense: 55

Luck: 4

At this time, Bai Tian’s attribute values were enough to scare people to death.

The attack power was high enough to make Mages feel ashamed, and if mana was converted to health, the thickness of his health bar could make Classes cry.

If not for his defense and agility being a bit low, he would be a proper hexagonal all-around monster.

Although Bai Tian’s emotions were exceptionally high at the moment, sleepiness and hunger were like two mountains about to crush him.

Checking the real-world time, the bell for 9 AM had already rung.

Bai Tian suppressed his excitement and logged off on the spot, waiting until he had slept well and eaten his fill to come back and experience this magical virtual world and continue exploring the mysteries of the new map.
