A God-tier Counter-damage Priest, I am the Master!

6: First kill of the elite-level BOSSBai Tian’s usual routine, all 10 attribute points added to Intelligence; his total mana had already reached 1002 points.

Seeing that only the last six ordinary crocodiles and the Elite Boss remained in the shallow pond, Bai Tian’s confidence surged.

He converted 900 points of mana into vitality, bringing his total health to 1100.

He had been afraid of this Elite Boss before, but now he wasn’t intimidated at all; from 15 yards away, Bai Tian launched a long-range basic attack at the Elite Boss.

Although it hit, it didn’t break through the defense at all.

Not even a single point of forced damage was dealt.

In the game mechanics of [Nine Heavens], if you don’t break the defense, it won’t force a 1-point reduction in health.

—”Roar!”

The attacked Elite Boss let out a furious, deafening roar.

It moved suddenly, kicking up a massive spray of water, charging toward Bai Tian like an ancient behemoth.

Furthermore, the remaining six ordinary crocodiles followed their boss’s lead, charging over aggressively.

Crap!

This momentum is actually quite terrifying.

Although he knew this Elite Boss was just a string of virtual data, the 100% realism made Bai Tian experience a hint of fear.

The Elite Boss’s bloody maw, capable of swallowing a pig in one gulp, snapped terrifyingly toward Bai Tian.

Damage: -674!

20double Rebound: -13480!

In the next moment, a terrifying damage number of over ten thousand suddenly jumped out from the Elite Boss’s thick health bar.

—”Ow!”

The Elite Boss roared in sharp anger, completely unexpected that Bai Tian could deal such high damage to it.

In its rage, the Elite Boss’s eyes turned blood-red, and it immediately activated a skill. Its entire body erupted with a bloodthirsty red light, and after its attack power skyrocketed, it launched — Savage Charge at Bai Tian.

But Bai Tian wouldn’t just take the hit for nothing; he quickly cast a Healing Spell on himself, recovering 400 health points, while simultaneously thrusting out his staff.

However, he still didn’t break the defense, and the Elite Boss didn’t lose a single point of health.

But the Elite Boss’s skill had already triggered; it slammed into Bai Tian, sending him flying off the ground like a human projectile.

Damage: -2022!

20double Rebound: -40440!

Moreover, this terrifying skill of the Elite Boss triggered Bai Tian’s [Longevity] passive, resisting the fatal damage.

—”(Ding-dong!)”

”(Congratulations on defeating the higher-level Elite Boss — [One-Horned Silver Crocodile King].)”

”(As the first player on Novice Island #7881 to defeat a Elite Boss, a global announcement for this island will be triggered. Do you wish to broadcast it with your real name?)”

Although Bai Tian knew it was better to keep a low profile, he was still a young man after all, and naturally, he had a bit of vanity.

”Don’t hide it!”

Following Bai Tian’s response.

A loud system announcement immediately spread throughout Novice Island #7881.

—”(Ding-dong!)”

”(Player — [Brilliant] has defeated the Elite Boss [One-Horned Silver Crocodile King].)”

”(As the first player on this Novice Island to defeat a Elite Boss, rewards: Reputation: +100, Luck: +1, Gold Coins: +5, Free Attribute Points: +5!)”

The eye-catching system announcement echoed three times in a row, shocking all online players on this Novice Island.

”Wow! Are you kidding me? How long has the server been open, and someone can already defeat an Elite Boss?”

”Damn it, I’m an expert player who went through the closed beta and have a top-tier C-rank talent, but I’m still struggling in the Level 4 monster zone. How can someone take down a Elite Boss already?”

”I’ve never heard of the ID [Brilliant]. Which big shot is he? Did this guy draw a terrifying A-rank or higher talent?”

”Humph! He must be some rich second-generation kid from a large guild. He probably had a bunch of cannon fodder whittle down the health, then stepped up to land the final blow himself. How shameful!”

”The mechanics of [Nine Heavens] dictate that a Elite Boss must drop equipment. The first kill even has a hidden drop rate boost. Doesn’t anyone want to know what top-tier items the first Elite Boss of this Novice Island dropped?”

”Requesting the big shot Brilliant to post pictures of the drops.”

”+1!”

”+2”

”...”

Although it was already past 4 AM, because of this announcement, all the online players on this Novice Island became active, and countless people were @-ing Bai Tian.

Meanwhile, Jade Star Painting Moon, who had just arrived at the Jungle Blood Leopard area with two teams of people, immediately stopped in her tracks.

”No need to go. Someone has already beaten us to the Elite Boss.”

”Brilliant?”

Jade Star Painting Moon was trying to recall if there was such a god-level player named Brilliant during the closed beta.

”Sister Moon, this guy got the first Elite Boss kill and obtained a field treasure chest; he must have a bunch of good stuff in his hands.”

”Let’s contact him quickly and buy the things he has.”

A girl with big eyes said to Jade Star Painting Moon.

Jade Star Painting Moon nodded: ”If he’s a solo player, it would be best if we could recruit him into our guild.”

The big-eyed girl nodded hurriedly.

Meanwhile, Bai Tian, who had already reached Level 7, arrived at a relatively remote and safe place with no monsters.

Knowing that the Elite Boss location had been exposed, Bai Tian quickly left after killing the Elite Boss, picking up all the items, and taking the field treasure chest.

Although Bai Tian also wanted to show off and dared to use his real name for the first Elite Boss kill announcement, he wasn’t so arrogant as to think no one on the Novice Island would dare to move against him.

After killing the Elite Boss just now, the generous experience reward instantly leveled Bai Tian up.

After the Elite Boss was killed by the Rebound, it dropped as many as 8 silver coins alone.

There were also two pieces of equipment and a scroll.

Bai Tian happily checked them immediately.

—[fufeng long robe]!

(Cloth Armor Equipment)

Quality: Black

Health: +100

Dual Defense: +5

Durability: 50/50

Requirements: Mage, Priest classes.

—[sharp steel sword]!

(Heavy Armor Equipment)

Quality: Black

Attack: +78

Strength: +3

Durability: 50/50

Requirements: Class, Warrior classes.

—[Unknown Scroll]!

(Take it to the Village Head, you might trigger a special quest!)

The Elite Boss dropped two pieces of Black-quality equipment and a quest-triggering scroll, which was quite good.

Bai Tian could use the [fufeng long robe] himself, so he immediately equipped it.

An elegant black-patterned long robe immediately appeared on him, and with his silver hair and silver eyes in the game, he looked quite handsome.

After looking at the items dropped by the Elite Boss, Bai Tian took out the field treasure chest; this was the main event!

—[Bronze Chest]!

(Upon opening, you will randomly obtain two items of no less than Black quality.)

Bai Tian chose to open it.

—”(You opened the Bronze Chest and obtained one level 1 magic gem and one Black Storage Bag.)”

[level 1 magic gem]!

(Once socketed into equipment, you can gain the effect of recovering 1 point of mana per second.)

(This is a Level 1 gem; after socketing it into equipment, there are two more chances to remove it. It will permanently disappear after more than 3 removals.)

—[Black Storage Bag]!

(After merging with the initial bag, it can increase storage space by 20 slots.)

A bit disappointed!

The items from the Bronze Chest didn’t bring Bai Tian much of a surprise.

But it was better than nothing!

Bai Tian first socketed the [level 1 magic gem] into the fufeng long robe, gaining the effect of recovering 1 point of mana per second.

Then he merged the Black Storage Bag with his inventory; he instantly had 30 storage slots, 20 more than before.

—”Beep, beep, beep...”

At this moment, notification sounds were constantly ringing in Bai Tian’s previously empty friend function.

Just after the announcement, several hundred friend requests had already appeared in his friend list.

Clearly, most of them were people who wanted to get to know him, but there were also some influential figures who wanted to buy the items he had obtained.

In the chat area of this Novice Island, people were @-ing Bai Tian all the time.

It wouldn’t do to keep not responding.

After all, Bai Tian still planned to sell that [sharp steel sword] for money.

Bai Tian cleared his throat and responded in the chat area for the first time.

”Selling a freshly dropped top-tier weapon — one [sharp steel sword].”

After Bai Tian finished speaking, he posted a screenshot of the weapon’s attributes in the chat area, which immediately caused a wave of exclamations.

Countless people shouted that they wanted to buy it, telling Bai Tian to name his price.

Some more domineering people even threatened Bai Tian, saying that if he didn’t sell this top-tier weapon to them, they would bring people to kill him.

Seeing that the desired effect had been achieved, Bai Tian typed again in the chat area.

”I will list the weapon on the auction trading platform; friends who want it can go there to compete fairly.”

After saying that, Bai Tian listed the [sharp steel sword] with a starting price of 3000 yuan.

Previously, even the worst white equipment had sold for three thousand yuan.

Surely this weapon wouldn’t disappoint him, and might even bring a huge surprise!
