I'm Not Afraid of My Wife Being 30 Years Old, I'm Afraid of Her Knowing Everything

19: I’m quite shy.”Start your own business?”

Jiang Hao’s question didn’t cause much of a stir in Xia He’s emotions.

Clearly, she had thought about starting a business before, otherwise she wouldn’t have been so calm.

”In my third year of university, my close Sisters and I wanted to open a small training studio. We had done market research, created a training plan, and even drafted rules and regulations for the studio. We were all set,

but one of our wealthy second-generation Sisters who had promised to provide startup funds had a family emergency and couldn’t come through. We never found another source of funding before graduation, so the plan fell through...”

Xia He looked disappointed and regretful.

It was clear that this had a significant impact on her.

Jiang Hao had also started his own business in his previous life.

He knew very well that for an ordinary person to succeed in business,

they needed connections, capital, and intelligence. Having two out of these three would mean success was halfway there.

But how many ordinary people could possess two of these?

Anyone who did would not be ordinary.

Jiang Hao was very familiar with Xia He’s abilities.

Due to her family situation,

she had been supporting herself financially since middle school. She was hardworking and ambitious.

Despite working and studying at the same time, she managed to score high enough on the college entrance exam to get into a top university, proving her intelligence.

The only thing she lacked was ’capital’.

Looking at the balance of over five million yuan in his mobile bank account, Jiang Hao had an idea:

”In my previous life, I worked hard for half my life and couldn’t enjoy it. This life, since I’ve become a lucky bastard, I should enjoy life to the fullest. Starting my own business is out of the question, but I can support those around me in their ventures. This money won’t earn much interest in the bank, so I might as well use it to support Older Female Cousin in her business. Whether it makes money or not doesn’t matter; it’s just to help her fulfill her dream.”

With this idea in mind, Jiang Hao casually asked Xia He, ”Older Female Cousin, is the process of opening a training institution and applying for qualifications very complicated? Do you have the connections to obtain the necessary qualifications?”

Xia He nodded:

”Yes, the country now supports university students starting their own businesses. My university advisor has good connections and agreed to help us obtain the necessary qualifications at the time, but the startup funds fell through.”

Jiang Hao asked again:

”If you were to approach your advisor now, would she still help you?”

Xia He took a bottle of mineral water from her bag and took a sip:

”Although I rarely go back to school after graduation, I’ve kept in touch with my advisor. We have a good relationship, so if I asked her now, she would still help.”

After speaking, Xia He handed the water bottle to Jiang Hao:

”Jiang Hao, it’s a bit hot, you should drink some water too, be careful not to get heatstroke.”

Looking at the mineral water bottle Xia He handed him, there was a faint trace of lipstick on the rim. A strange feeling welled up in his heart:

”If I drink from this, does that count as an indirect kiss? Oh, this...”

Seeing that Jiang Hao hadn’t taken the water bottle, Xia He raised an eyebrow:

”Not drinking? Fine, suit yourself.”

She started to take the bottle back.

”I’ll drink, I’ll drink!”

Jiang Hao grabbed the bottle and took a few big gulps.

This water is so sweet!

Sweet to the core.

Jiang Hao suddenly realized he was acting like a lovestruck puppy and quickly composed himself.

”I, Jiang Hao, am a lucky bastard. It’s just ordinary mineral water, why does it taste so sweet? It’s not sweet at all, nonsense...”

Xia He, watching Jiang Hao gulp down the water, suddenly remembered she had just drunk from it and felt a flush of embarrassment.

”Oh no, there must be lipstick on the bottle. If Jiang Hao drinks from it now, does that mean we... how embarrassing...”

Jiang Hao finished the water, put the cap back on, and handed it back to her. He deliberately licked his lips and stared into Xia He’s eyes:

”Older Female Cousin, where did you buy this water? Why does it taste different from the same brand I’ve had before? Why is it so sweet?”

Embarrassed, Xia He avoided Jiang Hao’s gaze.

Taking the water bottle back, she mumbled with averted eyes:

”Why, why is it different? It’s the same brand of mineral water. I didn’t taste any sweetness, you must be imagining it.”

Seeing Xia He’s evasive gaze, Jiang Hao decided to tease her a bit:

”Older Female Cousin, I know why this bottle of mineral water tastes sweeter than the others I’ve had before.”

Xia He, suppressing her embarrassment, lightly pushed up the glasses on her nose and curiously asked:

”Why, why is that?”

Jiang Hao leaned in close to Xia He’s ear and whispered with a mischievous smile:

”Because it’s the one you drank from, that’s why it’s so sweet. By the way, Older Female Cousin, does this count as our indirect...”

Jiang Hao’s words made Xia He blush, and she playfully punched him:

”How dare you tease me! Just you wait, I’ll get you for this.”

Jiang Hao dodged and stuck out his tongue:

”Older Female Cousin, you’re embarrassed! You look so cute and beautiful when you’re embarrassed!”

Xia He’s face turned bright red as she chased after Jiang Hao:

”You stop right there, don’t run...”

Jiang Hao ran ahead, beckoning Xia He to chase him:

”Come and catch me if you can! If you do, I’ll let you... hehehe!”

Xia He was furious:

”You’re in big trouble now, just you wait...”

Not far away, under a tree, sat an elderly couple with white hair.

Watching Jiang Hao and Xia He chase each other and play,

the old lady’s eyes were filled with envy. She turned to the old man beside her and said softly:

”How wonderful to be young. Look at that playful couple, don’t they remind you of us when we were young? They must have a great relationship and will surely be very happy together.”

The old man, wearing reading glasses, hugged the old lady and looked at her with affection:

”You’re right, dear. I think that young couple is perfect for each other. They will surely grow old together, just like us, loving each other and living in harmony.”

The old man’s words made the old lady smile:

”You old fool, always flattering yourself. You used to make me so mad when we were young, you were so annoying.”

Despite her words, the old lady’s face was filled with a happy and warm smile.

It was clear that she was very happy.

In the vast campus,

an elderly couple watched the young couple playing in the distance.

What a beautiful sight, truly enviable...

After a while, Jiang Hao and Xia He stopped their playful chase.

Xia He, her face flushed, glared at Jiang Hao and waved her fist:

”If you ever tease me again, I’ll beat you up.”

Jiang Hao chuckled and then turned serious:

”Older Female Cousin, I want to give you some money to support your business.”

Xia He smiled lightly:

”You don’t have to do that. You should keep your money for buying a house and getting married.”

Jiang Hao looked serious:

”I already have enough money for a house and marriage, and I have extra.”

Seeing Jiang Hao’s serious expression, Xia He realized he wasn’t joking. She frowned:

”You really have money? Where did you get it?”

Jiang Hao took out his phone, opened his bank account, and showed it to Xia He:

”Look, is this enough for you to start your business?”

Seeing the long string of numbers in the bank account, Xia He gasped in shock:

”Where did you get all this money? How do you have so much?”

Noticing people around, Xia He quickly pulled Jiang Hao to a secluded grove to avoid eavesdroppers:

”Come with me, I need to talk to you.”

To ease Xia He’s tension, Jiang Hao joked:

”Older Female Cousin, I’m still just a kid, I’m not ready for this... I’m quite shy...”

Xia He, without looking back, said:

”Shut up, or I’ll beat you up...”
