The System Arrives: Leading My Clan to Become the Strongest

23: Chapter Distributes Storage Rings”Third Elder.”

Jiang Chen looked toward the Third Elder, Jiang Lielong.

”Clan Chief.”

Jiang Lielong stepped forward and bowed.

”I hereby appoint you as the Law Enforcement Elder, in charge of the Family’s penal laws, upholding the majesty of the Family rules, and responsible for the judgment and punishment of Clan Members who violate them.”

Jiang Chen spoke after a moment of consideration. To be honest, Jiang Lielong was not a qualified Law Enforcement Elder, but since the Jiang Family had so few people available, he had to pick the best of the bunch; there was no other choice.

”Thank you, Clan Chief. I will certainly protect the Family and strictly investigate Clan Members who violate the Family rules.”

Jiang Lielong guaranteed firmly.

”Third Elder, don’t be so serious. We are all members of the same Family. If there are no major faults, just turn a blind eye. The current Family rules are not perfect. Later, you Elders should redraft them. Once they are ready, show them to me. If they are acceptable, I will approve them directly, and you can enforce them accordingly.”

Seeing Jiang Lielong like this, Jiang Chen had to speak again, hoping that Jiang Lielong wouldn’t be too rigid; otherwise, he would really have to replace him.

”Yes.”

Jiang Lielong replied.

Afterward, Jiang Chen appointed the Fourth Elder, Jiang Haitao, as the Cultivation Transmission Elder. Jiang Haitao was relatively steady and patient, not one to compete or grab for power, making him suitable for tedious matters. The position of Cultivation Transmission Elder was perfect for him.

He would be responsible for managing the Family’s Cultivation Techniques and Martial Skill manuals, teaching and guiding the Family’s Disciples in their Cultivation Techniques, and answering questions about Cultivation.

Then, he appointed Jiang Beiyuan as the Guardian Elder, leading the Family Guard Team and taking responsibility for the defense, patrolling, and security of the Family headquarters, as well as the safety of important members when they went out.

”There aren’t many Family members right now. You can select ten Family Disciples to join your Guard Team to be responsible for the Family’s safety.”

Jiang Chen said while looking at the Fifth Elder, Jiang Beiyuan.

”I will certainly not fail the Clan Chief’s trust.”

Jiang Beiyuan bowed.

Jiang Chen had also considered that Jiang Beiyuan was actually more suitable for the position of War Hall Elder, as the Second Elder was too impulsive.

However, within the Family, the Second Elder was indeed more popular than Jiang Beiyuan. Jiang Chen was afraid Jiang Beiyuan wouldn’t be able to command respect, and more importantly, the Second Elder had a higher cultivation.

”Grandfather.”

At this moment, Jiang Chen turned to look at Jiang Suhai.

Jiang Suhai also looked at Jiang Chen, as did all the Elders, watching Jiang Chen to see how he would arrange things for his own grandfather.

”Grandfather, you are currently the Family’s highest combat power. I now appoint you as the Jiang Family’s Grand Elder. Now that the Family is starting to get on the right track, you don’t need to personally handle ordinary matters unless we can’t resolve them. For now, you just need to focus on your Cultivate, and the Family’s resources will be tilted in your favor.”

After Jiang Chen finished speaking, everyone was momentarily stunned, but they quickly reacted.

”Greetings, Grand Elder.”

The first to react was the Grand Elder. Since the Clan Chief had made his decision, they didn’t want to object. They could all accept the Old Patriarch becoming the Grand Elder.

”Greetings, Grand Elder.”

”Greetings, Grand Elder.”

...Subsequently, the Elders bowed one after another to offer their congratulations.

”Alright then, the Jiang Family will depend on you all in the future. I have nothing else to do, so I’ll go into secluded Cultivate now.”

Seeing that everyone was willing to call him the Grand Elder, Jiang Suhai accepted it directly.

”Grandfather, wait a moment.”

Seeing Jiang Suhai preparing to leave, Jiang Chen hurriedly called out to him.

”What is it?”

Jiang Suhai looked at Jiang Chen and asked in confusion.

”This is a storage ring I bought from the Ten Thousand Treasures Tower. There are some Cultivate resources inside; why don’t you take it?”

Jiang Chen finished speaking and directly handed a storage ring to Jiang Suhai.

Jiang Suhai took the storage ring, and with a sweep of his Divine Sense, he was instantly stunned.

The resources inside were like a dream to him, as he discovered that the High-Grade Spirit Stones were piled up like a mountain. This almost shattered the worldview he had held for so many years.

One must know that their Jiang Family’s annual income was only a bit over a hundred thousand Low-Grade Spirit Stones, which would only exchange for about a dozen High-Grade Spirit Stones, yet now there was a small mountain of them.

Furthermore, some of the treasures nearby were suitable for use at his Foundation Establishment Realm. With these resources, he was confident he could Breakthrough to Foundation Establishment Perfection within a few years.

Seeing the storage ring in Jiang Suhai’s hand, the eyes of the Elders nearly popped out.

A storage ring! One must know that in the past, their Jiang Family didn’t even have many Storage Pouches, let alone a storage ring. Was this even something they could have imagined?

Now, not only were they imagining it, they were witnessing it with their own eyes. They truly wished they could also own a storage ring; that was the real symbol of status.

”Grandfather, Immortal Cave No. 1 is for your use. Fifth Elder, pass the word down: from now on, Immortal Cave No. 1 is the Grand Elder’s exclusive Immortal Cave. Without permission, no Disciple is allowed to go there.”

Jiang Chen first finished speaking to Jiang Suhai about the use of the cave, and then spoke to Jiang Beiyuan.

”Understood, Clan Chief. I will give the orders immediately.”

Seeing that there was nothing else for him, Jiang Suhai turned and left the main hall.

”Alright, no need to be envious. It’s just a storage ring. I happen to have five here, one for each of you.”

Jiang Chen finished speaking and directly handed each of them a storage ring.

Looking at the storage rings in their hands, the Elders felt as if they were dreaming. When did their Jiang Family become so wealthy? A storage ring for everyone—did he think they were as common as cabbages!

Jiang Chen was also quite grateful to Gu Tiande and the other two. Those three had contributed three storage rings, which, combined with the three bought from the Ten Thousand Treasures Tower, made six in total—just enough to distribute.

”Thank you, Clan Chief.”

”Thank you, Clan Chief.”

”Thank you, Clan Chief.”

...The five Elders bowed one after another in gratitude. This Clan Chief was truly excellent. In just a few days, they each had a storage ring. In a few more days, wouldn’t they be soaring?

At this moment, they thought: If we had known, we should have let the Clan Chief take his position earlier; wouldn’t we have gained even more!

”Alright, Grand Elder, distribute the cultivation resources in your storage ring. Also, take the mirror-breaking pill I gave you last time as soon as possible to Breakthrough to the Ninth Level of Qi Refining quickly. Whoever breaks through to the Ninth Level of Qi Refining first, I will provide them with a foundation establishment pill first.”

”And the rest of you, you must also Breakthrough in your cultivation as soon as possible. If you don’t, those Disciples will catch up to you. Won’t you feel embarrassed?”

Jiang Chen spoke expressionlessly while looking at the Elders.

”Yes.”

”I will certainly work hard.”

”I’ll be able to Breakthrough within a few days.”

...”Alright, enough with the idle talk. I have one thing to say: whoever breaks through to the Ninth Level of Qi Refining first will be provided with a foundation establishment pill. The same goes for you; you are currently at the Qi Refining Seventh Layer, only two minor Realms away from the Ninth Level of Qi Refining. Later, go to the Grand Elder to collect two mirror-breaking pills each.”

Jiang Chen interrupted their chatter.

Hearing Jiang Chen say this, each of the Elders was full of motivation, thinking about overtaking the Grand Elder and the Second Elder to be the first to Breakthrough to the Ninth Level of Qi Refining.

Seeing the hungry looks in the eyes of the three Elders, the Grand Elder and the Second Elder felt a sudden chill down their spines.

’No way, right?’

”And you, Second Elder, you’d better Breakthrough to Foundation Establishment as soon as possible. Otherwise, if you lead the Clan Members out to clear the wilderness like this, no matter how many you take, it won’t be enough to feed the Desolate Beasts.”

Jiang Chen turned to look at the Second Elder and spoke again.

”Yes.”

The Second Elder felt that Jiang Chen was becoming more and more authoritative, which made him lower his head unconsciously.

”As for the Grand Elder...”
