The System Arrives: Leading My Clan to Become the Strongest

22: Chapter 22 Appointment”Alright, this auction has come to an end. We welcome everyone to visit us again next time.”

As soon as Mu Yao finished speaking, people began to leave the Ten Thousand Treasures Tower one by one.

The moment Jiang Chen appeared, someone fixed their eyes on him.

Jiang Chen acted as if he hadn’t noticed, directly leaving the market area and exiting Tianfeng City shortly after.

”Kid, hand over everything you have on you.”

Seeing Jiang Chen appear, Zhao Hu led a group of lackeys and surrounded him directly.

He hadn’t attended this Ten Thousand Treasures Tower auction; otherwise, seeing Jiang Chen’s performance there, he might not have blocked him so brazenly.

Looking at the crowd surrounding him, Jiang Chen struck out immediately.

As Jiang Chen attacked without holding anything back, Zhao Hu and the others suddenly felt as if they were facing a primordial beast.

”Senior, I...”

The moment Jiang Chen struck, Zhao Hu knew he was in big trouble and that they were no match for him, so he tried to beg for mercy.

However, his words came too late, and even if they hadn’t been, Jiang Chen would not have let them go.

With the strength of the Foundation Establishment Realm, Jiang Chen slammed down a palm strike, using overwhelming momentum to suppress them. Under this palm, Zhao Hu and his group were sent flying, bleeding from all seven orifices, clearly on the verge of death.

Only Zhao Hu was barely holding on, though he looked ready to collapse at any moment.

”Senior... I mistook you for someone else, I’ll leave right now.”

Zhao Hu struggled to beg for mercy.

But who was Jiang Chen? If he could solve a problem with his hands, he wouldn’t use his mouth. He struck out with another palm, and Zhao Hu was instantly turned into a pulp of meat.

Jiang Chen casually collected the Storage Pouches of the several men and scanned his surroundings.

”Poor ghosts.”

Jiang Chen cursed under his breath, then soared into the air, disappearing from the city gates in the blink of an eye.

By the time some ill-intentioned people arrived at the city gates and saw the ground littered with corpses without finding any trace of him, they were all left bewildered and lost.

At that moment, however, three Foundation Establishment experts took to the sky, chasing forward.

”Patriarch Gu, I didn’t expect you to come personally.”

A Foundation Establishment Realm expert looked at Gu Tiande and chuckled.

”Old Ghost Hong, didn’t you come personally as well?”

Gu Tiande said as he looked at a red-haired old man.

This old man was actually the Old Ancestor of the Ding Family in Tianfeng City, Ding Hongshan. Jiang Chen had been far too eye-catching at the Ten Thousand Treasures Tower auction, and his wealth made everyone envious.

”Isn’t there one more? Is that Old Man Qian?”

Ding Hongshan glanced at another old man.

”Hmph, once we kill him, it will be every man for himself.”

Qian Qingchi said coldly.

”Then every man for himself it is.”

Ahead, Jiang Chen sensed people pursuing him from behind. After a thought, he descended toward the ground.

Before long, Gu Tiande and the other two arrived before Jiang Chen.

”Kid, you’re quite good at running.”

Gu Tiande looked at Jiang Chen, surprised he had actually stopped to wait for them, and immediately revealed a malicious expression.

”Since the three of you have come looking for this Jiang, I naturally had to wait for you. It’s never good to leave without saying goodbye, is it?”

Jiang Chen spoke slowly.

”Not bad, you’re quite sensible. In that case, I’ll send you on your way early. Let’s go together, solve this kid, and then distribute the treasures on him.”

After Gu Tiande finished speaking to the two, he struck immediately, and the other two did the same.

Seeing the three of them attack simultaneously, Jiang Chen did not panic.

Facing the three, Jiang Chen slowly closed his eyes.

In an instant, the light in the world seemed to be sucked away, all converging into the green feather sword in his hand.

Yet at this moment, he did not swing the sword, but merely whispered four words: ’One—Sword—From—West.’

In the next moment, a sword light so brilliant it was beyond description lit up from the western horizon, like the first ray of light at the creation of the world.

Time froze at this moment, and space itself seemed to be easily torn apart.

That sword light carried a sense of annihilation that could end all things, ignoring all defenses and distances, arriving before the three in an instant.

The eyes of Gu Tiande and the others reflected this beautiful yet lethal sword strike, their faces filled with horror and disbelief. All their protective Magic Treasures and Divine Abilities were like paper before this sword, shattering inch by inch.

”What is this...”

”Impossible.”

”I refuse to accept this!”

The three let out their final roars, but it was all in vain.

As the sword light flashed by, all things returned to silence.

The three were torn to pieces under this single sword strike.

He picked up the storage rings of the three and left without looking back.

Not long after, Jiang Chen returned to the Jiang Family Ancestral Land.

By now, the Ancestral Land’s main hall had been built, a tall and magnificent structure full of majesty.

”Clan Chief.”

”Clan Chief.”

...Seeing Jiang Chen return, a group of Elders stepped forward and called out respectfully.

”Not bad.”

Looking at the constructed hall, Jiang Chen was quite satisfied. This kind of grandeur was what the Jiang Family should have.

”Clan Chief, please.”

The Grand Elder made a gesture of invitation, and Jiang Chen stepped directly into the hall, with the group of Elders following him in.

Shortly after, Jiang Suhai arrived as well.

Jiang Chen sat directly on the main seat, looking at the empty hall, a sudden surge of heroic ambition rising within him.

”Grand Elder, what stage has our Jiang Family construction reached now?”

Jiang Chen asked, looking at the Grand Elder.

”Clan Chief, our Jiang Family construction is now fully complete. Following your instructions, we have left a piece of vacant land in the west and north that hasn’t been built upon yet.”

The Grand Elder began to report the construction progress.

”That’s good. What about the Second Elder’s side?”

Jiang Chen then looked toward the Second Elder and asked.

”Clan Chief, the ten Immortal Caves in our Ancestral Land have all been built. We are just waiting for your command to open up the Spiritual Vein.”

The Second Elder also spoke with high spirits.

”Very good. I will go to arrange the Spiritual Vein shortly. Next, we should discuss how our Jiang Family should develop from here?”

Jiang Chen asked, looking at the few of them.

Under his continuous supply of resources, everyone’s cultivation was advancing by leaps and bounds. Continuing with the old Family model definitely wouldn’t work; changes had to be made.

Previously, it was always his grandfather and himself making decisions, with the Grand Elder and Second Elder occasionally offering opinions, while the other three Elders were basically just there for show.

”That is indeed the case. We still need to succeed in land reclamation within three years, but now that we have chosen our Ancestral Land, the next step is expansion. However, it’s impossible for everyone in the Family to go out for expansion, so we need to divide responsibilities.”

The Grand Elder seemed to understand and spoke slowly.

”Clan Chief, just say the word and I’ll do it. I’ll listen to you.”

The Second Elder didn’t have as many thoughts and asked Jiang Chen directly. To him, thinking about these problems wasn’t as simple as taking action.

”We follow the Clan Chief’s orders.”

The other three Elders also chimed in one after another.

”Good, then I will make the arrangements directly.”

Jiang Chen didn’t stand on ceremony, scanning the room before speaking slowly.

”Grand Elder, I now appoint you as the Family Grand Elder, to coordinate all Elder meetings, adjudicate major internal disputes, and simultaneously oversee the Family’s core Legacy. In the event of major external conflicts, you are also to take the lead in formulating strategy.”

Jiang Chen spoke directly, appointing the Grand Elder.

”Thank you, Clan Chief. I will certainly not fail your expectations.”

The Grand Elder stepped forward and bowed solemnly in response.

”Second Elder, I now appoint you as the War Hall Elder. You are permitted to first recruit thirty Clan Members to join your War Hall to begin external conquests and expand our Jiang Family territory.”

Jiang Chen then said to the Second Elder.

”Yes, Clan Chief!”

Second Elder Jiang Liejun cupped his fists and bowed. At this moment, he was excited. War Hall Elder, leading 30 Clan Members—this was true power, unlike anything before.

At this moment, Jiang Chen’s status in his heart grew even taller.
