The System Arrives: Leading My Clan to Become the Strongest

8: Chapter 8 ArrivalAfter an unknown amount of time, the sky gradually darkened.

A massive mountain peak appeared before everyone’s eyes.

Before long, with everyone’s travel speed, they soon arrived at the foot of this mountain.

This time, Jiang Chen did not continue along the road. Instead, he turned and headed up the mountain.

If someone were to look down at this mountain from high above, they would discover that the mountain sat in a posture of a crouching tiger and a coiled dragon.

However, the mountain was surrounded by a natural illusory Formation, making it impossible for ordinary people to enter.

This time, because Jiang Chen had the map route gifted by the System, he naturally avoided the Formation and entered directly.

After entering the mountain, bursts of startled exclamations rang out continuously.

“Hiss, this is actually a First-Tier Spirit Gathering Grass; there’s actually a cluster here.”

“There’s also a First-Tier Yellow Spirit Lingzhi here. To grow this large, it must be three hundred years old.”

“First-Tier Scarlet Blood Ginseng, the best holy medicine for healing, there’s actually so much of it.”

For a moment, everyone ignored their journey and began picking them one after another. Since they had seen them, there was no reason not to harvest; it would be a sin to refuse what Heaven provides.

“Second-Tier Blazing Flame Grass, it’s actually Second-Tier Blazing Flame Grass! Holy crap, how is this possible?”

At this moment, a burst of exclamation came through. Everyone looked over and saw it was the Second Elder, Jiang Liejun.

Right now, his face was flushed red as he stared at a Blazing Flame Grass in front of him.

“It really is Blazing Flame Grass. What kind of place is this to have so many Spirit Medicines? Everyone, be careful; something isn’t right here.”

The Grand Elder now reacted. This was too abnormal. Usually, places with Spirit Medicines are guarded by Desolate Beasts, yet everyone had picked so many without a single Desolate Beast appearing. This was very strange.

Hearing the Grand Elder’s words, everyone stood up one after another, scanning their surroundings for fear of a Desolate Beast suddenly appearing.

The Second Elder also calmed his emotions. Second-Tier Blazing Flame Grass—what a pity, he couldn’t use it now, not until he made a Breakthrough to Foundation Establishment.

If only it were First-Tier Raging Fire Grass, he would be confident in reaching the Qi Refining Seventh Layer.

However, after waiting for a long time without seeing any Desolate Beasts, everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief.

The Second Elder stepped forward, carefully harvested the Blazing Flame Grass, and placed it in a jade box.

It seemed the Spirit Medicines here were ownerless, which made them very happy; it was a gain obtained without any effort at all.

“Alright, everyone quiet down. The Spirit Medicines are right there and won’t run away. We will settle down here from now on, and you’ll have time to harvest these Spirit Medicines later.”

Seeing everyone calm down, Jiang Chen finally spoke.

“Clan Chief, are you saying this place can serve as our Family residence?”

The Grand Elder asked with some doubt. Although First and Second-Tier Spirit Medicines grew here, wasn’t it a bit rash to use this as a residence?

“Yes, this will be our Jiang Family residence. Isn’t it quite good?”

Jiang Chen spoke slowly.

“But there is no Spiritual Vein here. Without a Spiritual Vein, how can this serve as a residence?”

The Grand Elder was getting a bit anxious. A residence had to be built upon a Spiritual Vein; with the assistance of a Spiritual Vein, their cultivation would yield twice the results with half the effort.

“Has the Grand Elder not noticed anything?”

Jiang Chen did not answer the Grand Elder directly but instead asked a question back.

“What?”

The Grand Elder didn’t react for a moment, and the other Elders also frowned, unable to see what Jiang Chen was up to.

“Chener, are you saying that here...”

At this moment, Jiang Suhai’s voice rang out, and after speaking, he pointed toward the ground.

Jiang Chen nodded slowly.

Under Jiang Suhai’s gesture, the Grand Elder and the others also realized.

“There’s a Spiritual Vein here?”

Second Elder Jiang Liejun cried out in surprise, but quickly stopped himself, fearing his words would be heard by others.

“Yes, otherwise it wouldn’t make sense for so many Spirit Medicines to grow here.”

Jiang Chen spoke slowly.

“How do you know?”

Grand Elder Jiang Xuanting asked with some doubt, looking at Jiang Chen with a hint of suspicion in his eyes.

Everything along this journey had been far too incredible.

One must know that even in the outer areas near Tianlin City, one could encounter First-Tier Desolate Beasts, yet after entering the Deep part of the Great Wilderness, they hadn’t encountered any. This was clearly illogical.

The others also turned to look at him, all wanting to know the answer.

“Ahem, well, I had a dream last night. There was an old grandfather in the dream, and he told me.”

Jiang Chen slowly explained.

For a moment, everyone fell silent. It was unclear if they believed him, but at any rate, the Grand Elder did not press further.

“Then we shall establish the residence here?”

The Grand Elder asked.

“Everyone scatter and search to see where is suitable to build the residence.”

Jiang Chen gave the order.

“Yes.”

Soon, several Elders headed off in different directions to investigate.

Before long, the Elders began to return one by one.

At this moment, these Elders were all incomparably excited because they discovered that Spirit Medicines were everywhere on this mountain, yet there wasn’t a single Desolate Beast. If there really was a Spiritual Vein, this would be the most suitable and perfect residence.

“Clan Chief, there is an open space halfway up the mountain. It is more than enough to establish our Family residence.”

At this moment, the Second Elder returned and spoke excitedly to Jiang Chen.

“We will go take a look together once everyone has arrived.”

Jiang Chen said calmly. This was a place recommended by the System, so it was only natural that there would be a suitable spot.

Before long, everyone arrived and followed the Second Elder to the mountainside. There was a flat area there. Jiang Chen took a rough look; it would be a waste to build a residence here; it was more than enough to build a Market Town.

In Jiang Chen’s vision, since there was a fifth-tier spirit vein here, he wanted to create one of the most powerful Market Towns; otherwise, it would be a waste of these Innate conditions.

In that case, it wouldn’t be about just casually building a Market Town with a few stalls; he had to consider building shops, stalls, and a comprehensive grand market for food, clothing, housing, and transportation, with a complete range of treasures.

Jiang Chen looked up toward the mountain peak. With such a plan, the most suitable location for the Jiang Family residence would be the peak, while the Market Town would be built here on the mountainside. In the future, a giant city like Tianlin City could even be built at the foot of the mountain for ordinary people to live in.

That way, when they looked down from the residence at the mountain peak, everything would be within their sight, naturally giving rise to the feeling of looking down upon all living beings from above.

“It’s too wasteful to build the residence here. Let’s go look further up.”

Jiang Chen spoke slowly before everyone could get too happy.

“Why?”

The Second Elder was the first to ask.

He was the one who found this place first. If the Family residence were built here, whenever future generations asked why the residence was here, the first thing they would think of was that Second Elder Jiang Liejun was the first to discover it.

“This place is too large. I think it’s suitable for building a Market Town. We’ll go up to the top to look for our residence.”

Jiang Chen could only explain patiently.

“Alright then.”

The Second Elder had no choice but to agree, though he felt much better upon thinking that the Clan Chief said this would be the site for a Market Town.

Before long, the group arrived at the mountain peak.

On the peak, everyone looked at the level ground, feeling as if they were in a dream.

Although this flat area wasn’t as large as the one on the mountainside, it was already three or four times larger than their Jiang Family residence in Tianlin City, sufficient for them to establish their ancestral grounds.

“Alright, this will be our Jiang Family’s Ancestral Land from now on. Rest well today, and tomorrow everyone will act together to first establish our ancestral grounds.”

Jiang Chen said to everyone.

“Yes.”

...Everyone responded in unison, especially those teenagers; they were overjoyed that they no longer had to run around every day.
