All Gods: Starting with Two Families

Chapter 46 Rainbow ChildLegend has it that there were seven Elemental Deities whose divine domains merged at the very beginning of their birth, meaning the seven gods jointly ruled a single divine domain.

This was hard for Zhou Zheng to imagine, but these seven gods never turned against each other; instead, by combining their powers, they rose rapidly to become high-level Elemental Deities.

The seven colors of the rainbow represented their elements—water, fire, earth, wind, wood, metal, and lightning.

However, when facing an extremely tragic disaster, those seven gods foresaw their own fall. At the final moment, they combined their lifelong understanding of the elemental Law and a portion of their Divine Power to forge a Legacy staircase—the rainbow staircase.

Every seventy years, when the ’seven-colored light’ collected within the Plane reaches a certain concentration, the staircase opens.

These seven gods belonged to the Lawful Good Faction, and their Legacy trials focused more on enlightenment and gifting rather than the cruel survival of the fittest seen in the Orc God System.

As long as one participated, one could always obtain some rewards.

Therefore, the opening of the rainbow staircase gradually evolved into a grand celebration in which all gods of the entire Plane participated!

After countless openings, the trial patterns of the staircase had long been mostly figured out by predecessors.

The introduction clearly stated that the core trial of the rainbow staircase was not combat, but a god’s understanding, insight, and application ability regarding the basic elemental Law!

Zhou Zheng was aware of the situation.

Although he could barely claim to understand some ’elements’ within the Orc God System.

However, throwing him into the Rainbow Plane, a base camp crowded with Elemental Deities, made his shallow understanding and application seem like showing off before an expert.

Fortunately, his goal from the beginning was not to clear the legendary 777-level staircase to compete for the ultimate reward—the special elemental kin, ’Children of the Rainbow’.

This strange kin was born pure white like light, and upon reaching adulthood, it would randomly transform into one of the colors—red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, or violet—and completely master the corresponding elemental ability, possessing extremely high potential.

It is worth mentioning that elemental races are recognized as the best auxiliary races.

They have pure minds, almost never compete with the main race for dominance, and can perfectly integrate into almost most kin.

Furthermore, elemental ability is the foundation that constitutes the world.

Any race’s warriors or spellcasters will, to some extent, come into contact with elemental power, so introducing elemental kin will not cause a rift in the belief system.

What Zhou Zheng was eyeing were the periodic rewards during the climbing process.

According to the rules of the staircase, challengers had the opportunity to obtain specific elemental kin, strange items, or related rare resources based on their climbing progress and performance.

He urgently needed one of these resources—the [Morning Sun Sunflower]!

It is said to be a plant-type elemental Life, and its flower disk can continuously produce pure and gentle ’sunlight’ energy.

This energy is exactly the favorite food of the ’Children of the Rainbow’ and many other elemental Life.

At the same time, it also has the power to expel curses and is a simplified version of the ’Light of Dawn’.

As long as he successfully climbed to the 333rd level of the staircase, he would have the opportunity to choose the seeds of the [Morning Sun Sunflower] from the rewards!

Zhou Zheng began to ’cram at the last minute,’ using the creatures within his divine domain to contemplate the elemental Law.

Some beasts were naturally born knowing how to use elemental power; for example, the two strange snakes in his divine domain were close to water and wood elements, while the strange eagles were close to wind and lightning elements.

But the progress... could only be described as just beginning.

The racial god path of the Orc God System focused more on digging into one’s own Bloodline power, and fine control over external elemental energy was not a strong suit.

Just as he left his divine domain and wanted to search for some notes in the Rainbow Plane, a Divine Thought seemed to have been waiting here for a long time—it was exactly that Water Elemental Deity.
