Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

179: Chapter 179 As long as there is life, there is hopeLin Sheng had never felt as speechless as he did today; he had never been so speechless toward a person... no, a god.

Yeros gave Lin Sheng the impression of being like a useless Adou who couldn’t be helped up.

Others have already fought their way to your doorstep, yet you’re not thinking about fighting back, but rather how to avoid fighting?

Even if you’re doing this for the sake of the believers on both sides, it’s still unacceptable.

Seeing Lin Sheng remain silent, Yeros asked in a small voice:

”Did I say something wrong? Is this idea not feasible?”balance

Lin Sheng had already decided not to bother with the trivial matters of this galaxy, so he simply waved his hand at Yeros.

”Whatever you want.”

...

”Father, we are safe.”

”The God has purged the pollution.”

After dealing with the source of the pollution, Yeros had conveniently purged the pollution from the entire planet.

The sunlight from outside seemed exceptionally dazzling at this moment, unlike a while ago when even the star’s light was obscured by a layer of dust.

”Yes, the God has favored us once again.”

Yisa’s father also revealed a smile.

But this smile seemed somewhat forced.

The Missionary hadn’t come for several days, so he had thought everything was fine now.

But at this moment, a Young Man in Red appeared within his sight.

Although this Young Man in Red wasn’t the previous Missionary, the clothes he wore were exactly the same as the previous Missionary’s.

”Father, what’s wrong?”

As his daughter, Yisa knew her father very well.

The changes in his facial expressions clearly fell into Yisa’s eyes.

Seeing the expression on her father’s face, Yisa instantly realized something was wrong.

She followed her father’s gaze, but saw nothing.

Other than the wall covered in flowers, there was nothing else in sight.

”Lay Practitioner, it is time to go.”

Just then, the young man who existed only in the Elf Father’s eyes spoke.

His tone was very gentle, without a hint of coercion.

However, upon hearing the young man’s voice, the Elf Father seemed to lose all the strength in his body and lowered his head despondently.

Beside him, Yisa’s mother also saw the young man.

Like Yisa’s father, she lowered her head and said nothing.

”Dad, Mom, what’s wrong? Don’t scare me.”

Yisa shook her father’s arm vigorously, but he did not react at all.

After a long time, a look of determination flashed across Yisa’s father’s face.

”Yisa, take care of yourself.”

”Dad and Mom will always love you.”

After saying that, the Elf Father’s large hand gently patted Yisa’s shoulder.

”Dad! Mom! Where are you going?”

”Come back, please come back!”

”Home has returned to normal, please come back!”

Yisa felt her body was unable to move, and she began to cry out for her parents desperately.

However, facing Yisa’s heart-wrenching cries, the elven parents remained unmoved.

Without looking back, they walked out of the house and disappeared around the street corner.

”Yisa, Dad and Mom will always love you.”

...

”So, your parents don’t want you anymore, right?”

After listening to Yisa’s experience, Rona made a simple summary.

Looking at Rona, who seemed completely indifferent, Yisa argued:

”No, you’re wrong. They have their reasons!”

”Oh~”

Rona nodded, having no intention of arguing with Yisa.

Because he felt there was no need to argue with a mortal.

Rona’s cold attitude made Yisa feel very upset.

She had originally wanted to seek Rona’s help, but at this moment, she couldn’t bring herself to speak.

After standing in the shop for a long time, Yisa finally spoke stiffly:

”Rona, can you help me...”

”No.”

Before Yisa could finish her sentence, Rona directly cut off the words she was about to say.

Rona’s refusal wasn’t cold, but his state was even more hurtful than coldness.

From beginning to end, Rona had talked to Yisa with an attitude of ”it’s none of my business” and ”it doesn’t matter.”

This made Yisa feel very powerless.

She realized that from start to finish, Rona had never taken her seriously.

But her parents were Yisa’s only family in this world, and she couldn’t possibly give up on them.

Therefore, no matter how much Rona didn’t care, Yisa had to plead with him.

However, such pleading behavior from a mortal was simply not worth mentioning in the eyes of a god.

No matter how pitiful Yisa’s words were, Rona remained unmoved.

He would not be moved by a mortal, especially when what this mortal was facing was a struggle for faith at the level of Chief Gods.

”Go home.”

After getting a bit annoyed with listening, Rona began to usher her out.

But he also gave Yisa a suggestion.

”Or, you could be like your parents and go believe in that god.”

”That’s impossible!”

Hearing Rona’s words, Yisa rejected the idea without even thinking.

Rona spread his hands.

”Then you’ll have to figure it out yourself.”

...

Walking on the way home, Yisa kept her head down, tears constantly dripping from her eyes.

At this moment, she was so out of place with the joyful atmosphere on the street.

Some residents also noticed Yisa’s situation, and some wanted to come forward and ask about it, but Yisa didn’t hear a word, keeping her head down the whole way.

After returning home, Yisa locked herself inside. Even though the neighbors came by several times, she didn’t open the door.

A few days passed like this.

During these few days, Yisa thought a lot.

She only knew that her parents had been taken away by that so-called ”Lord.”

But as for who specifically the Lord was, Yisa didn’t know.

She wanted to find her parents, but she didn’t even know who had taken them.

Yisa had also thought about seeking help from the church.

But she quickly dismissed that idea.

Setting aside that the Ximi God did not oppose the spread of Strange Gods’ faiths in the star sector, those high-level church officials would certainly not go looking for someone who had abandoned their faith.

After thinking it over, Yisa once again placed her last hope on Rona.

She knew that Rona was also a god.

As long as Rona was willing to help her, he could definitely find her parents.

But after these few interactions, Yisa had given up on Rona.

She had understood a truth.

Gods and humans are different.

Gods do not have mortal emotions.

At least Rona didn’t.

Facing such an unfeeling Rona, Yisa felt no resentment; all she felt was a sense of helplessness toward him.

Because she knew very well in her heart that Rona didn’t owe her anything.

The girl crouched in the corner of the room. Having not eaten for several days, her body had become much thinner.

”God?”

She murmured.

Her parents’ departure was related to a god. If she wanted to find them, perhaps only a god could do it.

But no god was willing to help her.

Since that’s the case...

”A mortal... can become a god... right?”
