Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1538: Legacy Era Part 8

Twilight Glades

”What the heck is this?” A member of Nocturnal raised an eyebrow.

”Are you all seeing this?”

”Yeah...”

Besides the members from Nocturnal, many other guilds that had made an alliance to attack Vanguard today were startled by a system prompt.

They were actually required to pay an entry fee to be eligible to set foot in the Twilight Glades. It would have been fine if it were just a few copper coins, but that wasn’t the case here.

The entry fee actually required them to pay 50 silver coins.

That was literally almost half a gold coin just to enter Twilight Glades.

And with the sheer number of people they had, that kind of price easily exceeded 200-300 gold coins.

All that money for what?

Just to enter Twilight Glades???

”When was there ever an entry fee here?”

”I don’t recall it at all. Before the update, we could enter and leave freely without paying a single dime.”

”Damn it, is this another one of these hidden updates that the game system didn’t bother to inform us about?”

By now, almost every player was used to the Divine World system’s conduct in concealing a lot of information. This specific information required the players themselves to discover it.

Needless to say, there weren’t many complaints about it because those who learned the new information firsthand could gain an advantage over others.

Except, the difference here was that this kind of information benefited none of them.

”Damn, what kind of crappy fees were those?” An Ethereal member cursed aloud and tried to file a complaint with the system. Little did they anticipate that there would actually be an immediate response.

[System Notification: The entry fee has been set by the administrator of the region. The price is within a reasonable range, so the complaint is deemed invalid.]

”Set by the administrator? A region that is considered neutral now has an administrator?” The ethereal member nearly crashed out on the spot.

When did neutral regions and zones become occupied by an unknown administrator?

Just what in the world happened during their absence in the update?

Each update brought forth a new era, and players were forced to adapt, or else they would fall behind.

One could even say it was quite cruel for them when barely any players were actually able to participate in any of the main events due to their lack of strength.

However, there was nothing they could do about it.

They were weak, and the enemies were way too strong for them.

Only a few talented individuals were able to contend with the enemies and widen the gap between other players.

Of course, even just a few were numbered by thousands, given the sheer number of players playing in the Divine World.

”Just pay the fees!” A Razor Nightmare member shouted. ”If you don’t want to pay the fee, our Razor Nightmare would gladly cover the cost. But once that happens, when we share the profit, we will take bigger shares.”

Sure enough, everyone in the scene snorted coldly and paid the entry fee without uttering any more complaints.

For a measly 50 silver coins entry fee, you want to take a bigger share?

Keep dreaming!

Needless to say, the Razor Nightmare member did it on purpose to avoid these people from wasting time.

It was just 50 silver coins, and they were crying as if it were 50 gold coins.

’We’re in a time crunch to take the Vanguard by surprise, and you’re out here arguing. Seriously, how are you from the Super Guilds when you’re this stingy?’ They sneered inwardly.

...

Sometime later, the group traversed the Twilight Glades at the fastest pace they could.

Unfortunately for them, none of them anticipated that the monster levels in the region had soared to another level.

”Damn it, we wasted a few of our ragged scrolls on these mobs.”

”You don’t say, genius! Did nobody scout in advance before making this dumb plan?”

”I thought Ethereal scouted ahead since they suggested this plan...”

Sure enough, Ethereal became the target for their current misery.

To suggest a plan without actually scouting ahead to gather information was something even the low-level guilds wouldn’t commit.

No wonder Ethereal got sniped by Eclipse Nova.

They were that ridiculous to conjure a plan out of their butt.

Needless to say, members of Ethereal’s faces flushed with redness.

What could they say?

Had it been other guilds who did this, they would have hammered on them as well.

A vicious cycle, one might say.

While the rest were in shambles, back at the Haven Wind City, two people were watching a screen in amusement.

”Can they even reach our city at this rate?” Carmen mused.

”I don’t know. They wasted so many high-level ragged scrolls just to get through a few distances.” Veronica shrugged, her face filled with giggles.

Since Xu Feng had become the administrator, he was able to allocate two people alongside to spectate and inspect the region.

Needless to say, the two people he allocated to were Carmen and Veronica.

Hence, the two had been spying on the region when they received news from Xu Feng about the ”surprise attack”. This kind of surprise attack was indeed very astonishing because they had never met this kind of ridiculous play.

”Are they really Super Guilds and not just some upstart guilds impersonating as such?” Carmen joked. She never had any goodwill toward hostile guilds, much less these monopolists who only wished to bully others around.

”They’re Super Guilds, alright.” Veronica chuckled. ”Not everyone could deal with level 80s monsters and above without any casualties. They might have wasted a few powerful ragged scrolls, but that didn’t undermine their combat prowess.”

As someone who needed to be informed and understand the combat prowess for her position, she naturally studied a lot.

Of course, the materials were all given to her by Xu Feng.

And how he had such extensive knowledge, she never cared or bothered to question it.

’If only we can also control the monsters in the region, how nice would that be?’ Veronica sighed softly.
